Yes indeed!!!:rotfl2: We're also doing 6 weeks in Sept/Oct too. :cool1: There has to be some benefits from being this old!!!:lmao::lmao:

It is also our 40th wedding anniversary year so that is another excuse.
.
AND

YOU are SPECIAL. :yay:

It's our 40th Anniversary year too but we only get two long weekends to PA to see the kids (after one of which I stay to help care for Sophie !!!), a one week cruise with no WDW days and a long weekend at WDW on Tom's Birthday pretending it is MY Birthday because he could not be away from work in March.

Marilyn is SPECIAL--yup, we all know that! :thumbsup2:
.

Good Morning

The sun is shining brightly. We are just leaving to pick up Monica & her Dad from their hotel at Heathrow and :car: them to Dover.

Ann

Hi Ann! Nice of you to stop in. You know Ian is going to say Monica 'put you up' to post this as he thinks she's still at home and just hiding from him when he comes to WDW next week.

Aaaaw thanks. No more special than all you other Thieves though.:grouphug:

We did have to fit in with the warehouseman who took over much of John's work, and the long school summer vacation that sees most of the other workers off at some point, but he can take longer trips now with little problem as our son Andrew is now the boss.

John was just saying last night that these last few vacations have been the most relaxed for him as he wasn't thinking about what was going on at work, or having calls or emails with problems. Andrew is doing a great job.

I recommend that you stick to one scale only and weigh yourself on the same day, same time of day every week. Our weight can fluctuate by as much as 2 pounds during the course of a day.

When I attending meetings (rather than leading them), my day was Sunday mornings. I attended 8:30 AM meetings (different location), and that is the only time I weighed in.

I still weigh myself every Sunday morning, before I start my meetings (after a quick change into gym shorts and a t-shirt in the stock room). I never step on a scale otherwise.

I think that by keeping it regular, I just never drove myself crazy with any unaccountable variances.

The program is designed to produce a maximum loss of 2 pound a week. Though it varies.

Over time, I learned my weight loss pattern, which was not consistent from week to week.

Typically I had a bigger loss, a little over 2 pounds, followed by a week with a small loss, about .2 pounds, followed by no loss or a .5 pound gain, followed by a big loss again. Then the patter would repeat for another 3 weeks.

As I always tell members, track, track, track and the scale will eventually follow the behavior. The scale ALWAY eventually follows the behavior, no matter what the behavior is (as evidenced by my 20 years of progressively gaining weight, followed by getting myself on track and reaching goal).

I'm sure you did GREAT this week.

PS - Avoid having overly salty foods, or salty meals the day before weigh in. Salty food can cause some water retention which could impact results.

.

Thanks Ian, I only want to weigh in once a week because I've known people who drive themselves crazy when they see the daily fluctuations. I'd heard before about always using the same scale, and that weigh in will be on Monday after work at Tyler's OT. :goodvibes Thanks for the salty foods tip. I'll avoid my popcorn today because that's my saltiest food. :thumbsup2

It's such a beautiful day today! We're supposed to have more thunderstorms later this afternoon, but the sun is shining a bit and for the first time this season, I have ALL our windows open! So nice to feel the fresh air drifting through the house! :goodvibes

We managed to get a little bit of cleaning done this morning in between church and Tyler's dad picking him up for a cub scouts event. Tyler was excited to show Oreo to his dad. That silly little guinea pig likes to just sit in his paper bag now. :lmao:He'll come out and run circles around it occasionally, shove it around a bit, then go back inside to sit. :lmao: We're having so much fun with him.

Off to have a very light lunch and back to cleaning. Tyler will help me when he gets home in about an hour.

Afternoon everyone!!!

It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood!!!!

(which is why I'm leaving... :rotfl2:)

Actually, I am headed up to Lake George... not to sightsee, but to hit the outlet stores and spend money I don't yet have. (I need sneakers badly)

Maybe I'll take my camera anyway...

Until later... :upsidedow

Have a great time, Michelle! :goodvibes

Our next round of storms is heading our way. The temperature has dropped a lot and the sky is getting dark. Bummer. Tyler was hoping to be able to drive his firetruck today when his friend comes over. Oh well....I think we'll play Disney DVD bingo instead! :yay:

Well, I think I'm done cleaning. It's not close to being done, but OK enough for company because this friend keeps a really messy house, much worse than mine, so she'll think our house is clean in comparison. :rotfl2:

Wow, this is the first time I've watched NASCAR on my new TV. AWESOME! :dance3:

Back home from my 3 meetings and I'm exhausted. It was NUTS today! I had about 15+ new members enroll and my meetings were very busy.

I had been wondering what was going on to cause such a dramatic change. I asked at my 9:30 am meeting and found out. It's the weather.

The warm weather we've been having has caused people to get out their summer clothing. It has also caused them to find out that they don't fit into their clothing from last summer and so, do something about it.

I was run off my feet. I did 7,445 steps and I didn't go anyplace!

Glad to hear about the new members....and that explanation makes lots of sense. I think folks make a New Year's resolution to eat better....but still having winter months, cold weather, comfort food...they don't really get around to it till the Spring!

Wow, lots of new members! The reason sure makes sense. :goodvibes At least it's over for you today and now you can focus on just a couple more days of work and then VACATION!!! :dance3:

I jokingly mentioned to my mom recently that she should come on the PC cruise with us. She doesn't like water and doesn't like groups of kids, and has no patience for Tyler, so I don't think she'd enjoy it, so that's why I say I was joking. She might do OK if she had her own room. Well, today she e-mailed me telling me her friend wants to know all about it! This is a friend that often talks her into traveling with her, so I'm hopeful she'll drag my mom with her on the cruise! I directed mom's friend to the 2011 PC thread for details. :goodvibes

Well, I just cleaned a mess of strawberries to have with some angel food cake, grilled some skinny, boneless pork chops and made some broccoli 'slaw'. Now I get to go eat some of it! :thumbsup2

I find my medication that I take on Sunday mornings tends to dull my appetite...a good thing for the day before weigh in I guess, as I'm not likely to over indulge.

Jackie, that sounds like a yummy meal! :goodvibes I see we have the same weigh in day. Good luck!

Not really, I have to return for a training class from 4 to 7 pm .

Well, Tyler's little girlfriend is about to be dropped off to play, so I'm going to move my car out of the driveway so he can drive his firetruck out to take her for a ride. ;) The storm in the distanced passed north of us and all we got were a few sprinkles, so it's perfect playing outside weather! :yay:
