GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!
Looks like I'm the only one up this morning......gotta do my errands before it rains this afternoon. I have an unusual Monday morning off of work!

:cheer2::cheer2:If you will be in Orlando area on May 16, don't forget about the cookout at my house! PM me for directions and more info! :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Connie

Marilyn, I can see why you like Seasons 52....their lunch menu is wonderful and reasonably priced AND their dinner Spring menu has THIS:

Grilled Rack of New Zealand Lamb red bliss potatoes, asparagus, balsamic onions and Dijon sauce.

NZ Lamb and asparagus...two of my favorites. :thumbsup2

PEG...KEEP THAT CAR AN EXTRA DAY....:lmao:
you are so silly!

Well, I'm heading out in a hour to have lunch with Cheri before she heads back north. Meeting at our old stand-by Mimi's, but I think I'll call and see if she'd rather go to 5 & Diner....that place always make's me fell like I'm at 50s Prime Time in WDW. :thumbsup2

.
Last I heard you guys were not hooking up - did you in fact get to see Miss C? I'm sorry I missed it, but I did enjoy spending the day with my old high school pal - Kitty! And seeing her entire family again - been WAY too long.
LADIES:

Go wo www.weightwatchers.com/free You get the first week free then 3 months at $65 (that's $5 per week) then after that it's $16.95 per month (which actually averages slightly less than $5 per week).

Sign up! I just did. ;)

.
I am so proud of YOU! I'm proud of any one who has decided to make this an important "loving" change for themselves.

Ian - your words are lovely to my heart and soul - keep it up!

Michelle - I know, can you believe they let "anyone" in here??? I am still upset I missed this cruise with y'all - one of those "regrets"... ;)

Popping in to say Happy Monday! Its raining and cold and yucky here, which is okay, since I have to be at work anyways. ;)

Ian - thanks for sharing your story and the painting example. :worship: You are fantastic for motivating all of us. Too bad there isn't a referral spot, we could all have checked off as we signed up.

Learning the value of what we eat is scary sometimes. The biggest sticker shock, I've gotten so far is from Quizno's subs. I really like their peppercorn beef one, and in the past Ken & I have gotten Quizno's and I'm thinking its healthier than McDonalds. Well, that large sub I like is 40 points :scared1: I would have been better off eating McDonalds. So I have not eaten Quizno's and have stuck with Subway for eating out treats. And I did enjoy my cheesecake yesterday (all 11 points worth!). My week doesn't end until Friday, and all my weekly flew points were gone by Sunday morning, but I knew I was going to go crazy this weekend, so its okay. Rum punch really adds up :lmao:

Kathe - I love your Serenity stories. It always sound so happy when you share those stories. Sorry to hear work is stressful. Some managers really don't get how working with employees improves morale and productivity. But on a positive note, its nice to hear that your employees appreciate you.

Venetia - glad to hear you all had fun! And like Michelle says "Just give us the link to photobucket and we'll peruse there... :rotfl:" ::yes:: ::yes::

Michelle - I love your multi-posts with all the comments, but I think you made a mistake. You said "Mom was pretty incredible..." and I'm positive you meant "Mom IS pretty incredible" ;) ;)

Shannon, my sticker shock this morning was my daily pack of 2 pop tarts! :guilty:

Yikes, I only have 8 points left for the day and I'm hungry. I guess a banana would be good and should hold me over for an hour.

WOOHOO!!!! It's snowing today with more expected tomorrow!!!! :hyper:

Try focusing your food choices on filling foods, especially zero point foods. They will be filling and give you the biggest bang for the buck.

Just checking in once again before I head out. Unfortunately, this webpage timed outwhen I signed in earlier and and now I ahve no idea where it was when I was last on here. So I have no idea how many pages to go back.

I'll have to ask Shannon if I missed anything ...

I just want to know who brings a monkey to the park? And do we really want to know what that guy in the muscle shirt is smoking?

Can anyone remember a time when a vacation did not include taking a ton of electronics with you? Perhaps just some Instamatic cassettes?

Nope. Because the electronics weren't taken there is nothing left of the vacation to remind us! ;)

A trip without electronics? SACRE BLEU!!!

I seem to recall a time without cables, and we had incredible and easy technology to boot!

Perhaps no cables but a million of those stupid little one-use cube flashes. Or how about those strips of flashes with 5 flashes on them on a tree like device? Every picture you get a different angle of flash!

Your spirit of adventure is sorely lacking.

If he's (Gaylean this goes for Ethan, too) not enjoying it, I'd recommend finding another pack or waiting a couple of years until they're old enough for Boy Scouts. Erik is working on his Eagle Scout project right now and I really see the value in the whole ordeal. We're in an AWFUL troop, but it would be too much trouble and really too hard to change troops at this point. He needs the volunteers to help with his project and he wouldn't have the relationships he needs to do that in a new troop. But if you find a well-run troop it's a GREAT program and they learn so much about accomplishing a big project from start to finish, dealing with bureaucracies, asking for help, organizing $$, materials and people, and the list goes on! Hopefully by the middle of Summer I'll be announcing his actual advancement to Eagle Scout! WOO HOO!

I don't know where I left off but this seems like a good page. I think it would be better when they actually start learning things and earning real awards. Right now they get a patch for everything and they can't put it on their uniform :confused3 I guess they don't start earning anything that counts towards being a boyscout until they are a weeblo. I think that might be next year for him but I don't think I could drag him to another meeting. His pack has been around for like 50 years and they say they have an 80% rate of being an Eagle Scout but I already know a few that have dropped out so they must mean when they get to a certain age. I think it is too formal for Ethan. They have to do push ups and other exercises (he likes that part) and his actual den leader is all about respect and not talking or playing. I am too but I think he is over board for our family. I feel like everyone that deserves it should get respect and I teach that. I don't think that people deserve respect just because they are adults. It also bugs me that the parents do all the work because we are forced to be there. Ethan didn't put up his tent, Jon did. He didn't cook the food, the older bs did. Brooke is 2 years younger and her troop has already had a cookout (at the leaders house) and she got to cook with real fire. The bs say the cubs are too young. Brooke will go on her first camp out this weekend and the leaders can't touch the tents. We can only guide them. Plus we let them run around a little like 6 to 9 year olds should be able to.

No, because I don't want him to think I'd always be willing to cancel with friends to go meet him. I don't want to sound eager or too available. ;) If he's interested, he'll wait until I have a free day. :thumbsup2

I was going to say the same thing Marilyn did and then I saw this post. I would assume, because it has been a long time and I never really dated as an adult, that it is good to not be waiting around for them all the time but you should seem interested and eager to see him. Guys don't like games and they do like their partners to be there for them. Believe me, I know that much ;)

Gaylean, Venetia, Bubba - I want to see pictures of your crazy weekend!

Lets put it this way. I didn't take my camera anywhere and it is a good thing because I probably would have lost it or broke it when I fell.

I will give your imaginations a good clue of how the weekend went. Cindy told everyone that she was from Australia and she had the best accent to go along with it

Thought I'd stop by and say hi to everyone. Can you believe that last year this time we were all getting ready for our cruise? Dh lost his job in Jan and is having no luck finding another one but he doesn't seem to be looking too hard...;) I have 2 new puppies so have been busy trying to pad-train them. I have been reading all the posts off and on and have seen all the talk about weight loss. I started a diet on Jan 2,2009 and as of today I have lost 67 pounds. 33 more to go! I am looking forward to seeing some of you at Connie's on the 16th of May. No cruises for us until 2010. At least we have Hawaii and Mexico and a few small trips to hold us over until 2010. No PC cruise again for us as we are holding out for the new ship or Alaska which ever comes first.

I don't know if you'll be back on but good for you. Now share your secret :rolleyes1 We miss you. Sorry about your husband's job.

I'm about to cry! Supposed to leave early in the morning for Laughlin (the place with the small slot machines) but about 4:15 today I started feeling sick. Nauseaus, lightheaded, sort of like a flu feeling but just not sure. Went to bed at 6 as soon as we got home, no dinner no nothing, just wanted to sleep. Got up at ten and felt just as bad! This sucks! Gaylean aint gonna believe me! And I'm gonna ruin Venetias fun weekend with her BFF!!!:sad1:

You're right, I wouldn't have believed you but you wouldn't have believed me either.
