We went to a ribbon cutting at a new Brain Injury rehabilitation place today. It's in Avalon Park, just east of Orlando. It was beautiful, and the rooms are so big and airy! They do respite care there as well as rehabilitation. We are going to try leaving Patrick there for a few days. He seems to think it might be fun, like going to camp. Another place we are considering is in Sarasota (2 hours away). The place in Sarasota is 2 homes near the bay that have been completely remodeled, so it's more of a "home" atmosphere, but the Avalon Park place is closer ( a BIG plus for us).

Now Chuck and I need to get our heads around the idea......that's the hard part!

Happy Earth Day
I've been in the Animal Kingdom Park twice on Earth Day over the last few years, wish I was there today!Kathe

I dug out an Animal Kingdom Earth Day pin from 2001 for Patrick to wear today!

Good morning all!

2 1/2 more days of work before my vacation :cool1::banana::woohoo::yay::dance3::cheer2:

You're going somewhere?

:goodvibesHAPPY EARTH DAY!!!:goodvibes

Thank you...

Kathe - glad you're getting the final windows replaced today - 1 more thing to check off the TO DO list :goodvibes

I feel like I'm running out of time (which I am)....have started throwing clothes into the suitcase but haven't packed yet...need to finish :laundy: tonight & need to color my hair tonight. Plus need to stop by DTD on my way home. All the gadgets (camera & laptop stuff) are all packed. Need to decide what reading materials I'll be taking w/ me.

Trying to decide if I need to exchange $ here or hope for a good exchange rate on the ship. I'll exchange for Pounds in London, but need Euros to pay for our Berlin tour & incidentals there. Have been told that US Dollar is ok in most other countries (or credit card). If I decided to change the $ here will do that tomorrow night on the way home.

Things making matters worse is that my stomach has been bad since Monday. I just hope & pray that I'll be ok before I fly on Saturday.

relax... you'll be fine... especially since you won't be leaving your yard for a couple of weeks... planning on weeding while you are home?

Marilyn, do you take anything for your sea sickness? I don't get air sick or sea sick (well except for once on a fishing boat in PEI) , but I am a nervous flyer. We had more turbulence on my flight home from LA last May than I am used to :scared: First time I had seen lightning from my window too! I know Michelle, mentioned Nyquil, but I really hate taking drugs. I don't like the foggy feeling I get, and my stomach gets upset easily from drugs.

Kathe

Booze it is then. :lmao:

Unfortunately I think it'll be too chilly to be lounging by the pool - I do know I will be trying out their heated loungers in the spa at least 1x.

I'll be thinking of all the Champagne Girls as I board - they great you w/ a glass of Champange or Orange Juice as you get on board the ship :goodvibes

WEAR PINK!!!

Sounds like a good idea, especially since Patrick likes the idea too! :thumbsup2

You really are creating quite an elaborate fantasy, aren't you? All for spending 2 weeks in your backyard with an inflatable kiddy pool.

With a pink flamingo for company... reading Harlequin romances and eating raspberry truffles... ;)

Guess what I did....:sad2::sad2::sad2:

Kept fiddling around with a photo album I'm working on for my mom of our NYE cruise and time flew right by and I got a call from Molly's friends mom :scared1: She offered to get the girls, she was late too  It was only 30 minutes and I didn't FORGET her, I just was distracted :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

So Molly got an afternoon with her girlfriend to hang out for a few hours and I'm almost done with my book for mom :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

I wish I could show you how it looks. It's nothing special just fun to have it finished ::yes:: and then my mom can stop asking me where her book is from our cruise

YOU FORGOT MOLLY AGAIN??????? :sad2::sad2::sad2:

Just a quick post to say HI!

It has been a rough few weeks around here. WDW was great and I am thinking of doing a trip report soon. However after we got back, I snapped a muscle in my arm, then we were keeping my friends toddler and Matt was getting the playpen out of the attic for him to sleep in and lost his grip and who did it come barreling down on but me(I wasn't paying attention). He was very worried and I was sore but ok.(oh and the little one wouldn't sleep in it as he wanted to be cuddled). My arm is in a sling, work is not happy (about my arm)and driving me nuts, school is crazy. I am sooo very tired. Oh and of coarse, good news, Moe is still here and very happy. He comes to me to pet him now but still not cuddly. My step-dad is getting his surgery in May and I get to go to the beach for 2 weeks in July! However, think I should of stayed at WDW!:thumbsup2

Monica and those with trips coming up Have fun!
I really miss everyone, Matt mentioned the next PC cruise, so who knows we may see some of you again soon!
Ok back to trying to type my paper due Friday!

Jill!!! So sorry to hear you have hurt yourself... of course we want to hear all about Disney... and there is already a thread going on about the PC repo... Donna and Harry are thinking about it too... we just have to talk Ian into it...

Glad to know you found a good place for him. Go for a few days and see how it is... play up the camp part... maybe Patrick will like it and it will help you and Chuck for when you want a break to get away for a couple of days...

What new thread?

This one!!!

love it...we will we see in on our TA, right? It looks so populated, I expected it not so much. I think I need to read and look up where we are going ::yes::

I had total weird dreams this morning. Can't remember them, but remember telling myself to sleep more to have more weird dreams. Weirdo I know

Monica I hope your tummy is better.

Thanks for all the support and kind words for Willie. He is ok today and back at school. Sadly he missed a little league game last night and they lost it :sad2: It was their 1st loss. They had gone with an 8 game winning streak. Oh well, still a great record so far.

Kathe, cool about your new windows. We had ours all replaced over the last few years, what a difference it makes in sound relife. Last night it was so hot we had them open in our bedroom and it was SOOOOOOO loud, close them and peace and quiet. I hope you enjoy the new windows :goodvibes

Heat wave going on here, we've had high 80s-90s late into the evening...too hot for me.

Trying to come up with something cool for dinner, any ideas????

I heard about the heat wave out there. Our temperature is going up too. It is supposed to get up to 80F by Friday! I have NEVER seen it get that warm so early in the season.

So sorry to hear about your arm. I hope you are mended soon.

Oh my. Jill, you have been in the wars. Please take care and look after yourself - well Matt can, as long as he stops throwing things at you!!!;)

I'm so glad Moe is friendlier to you - it feels good doesn't it?

All the best in your paper you are doing, and continued healing of your arm.

OMG! I hope you are going to be ok! Isn't it always the way that the smallest accident seems to cause us so much trouble! Keep your arm in the sling until it's all better, ok?

Jill, I hope you heal quickly and do well on your paper! We all miss you too! :grouphug:

Thanks for all the well wishes. I will try to post more often, I hope everyone is doing well.

Sounds like our heat wave (100 today) is headed east. ENJOY!

I got up and turned the airconditioning on at midnight last night! :scared1:

Nan, I'm glad Willie is feeling better. I had already had the bedroom windows replaced a few years back, and you're right, much quieter. I won't notice the noise factor so much with these, they are in the dining room and kitchen, but I hadn't been able to open the old ones for ages. It will be so nice to open them again, and hopefully will keep me warmer next winter. It was cool and rainy today, but a heat wave is moving my way for the weekend too :cool1:

No cool ideas for dinner :confused3 I got home late and was starved so had a salmon lean cuisine dinner...blech

I dug out an Animal Kingdom Earth Day pin from 2001 for Patrick to wear today!

Connie, I have one from 2002. Does Patrick collect pins? Mine are all in a shoebox  Do you have yours dispayed somehow?

Sounds like you need a hug  Hope your arm is better soon, Jill. Don't you just hate coming back to real life after a trip to disney! Good luck on your paper.

I collect dust.

I'm quite proud of my growing dust collection.
