Holly have a great time tomorrow with Tyler at Disney on Ice. I hope you get to take some picutes.
Not sure if I'll take pictures, but I might because I think our seats are up close. The ones I bought say they're VIP seats, but I'm not sure what the difference is, I'm assuming close up, but I guess I'll find out tomorrow.

Hi All!!!!

Hi Michelle....got your note on the Tortola thread.

Hi Holly.....saw your qestion about where am I.

Hi Kathe.....if you're still here.

I spent all morning having coffee and talking to John. Then all afternoon I had to lay down. I still have an hour and a half to go tonight. Yesterday I paid bills all day and layed down all night. It seems I can only do one other thing and then lay down. I'll have to adjust and get used to it.

Hi Bubba and V and G and Jon....I know you're all having the best birthday ever. I can't wait for you to share the pictures. Celebrate and Enjoy!!!!

I'm still here  I haven't much time to dis...and right now I'm torn with what little time I have between being here catching up with friends and searching out any news for my upcoming May trip to wdw! Nice to hear from you Deb :goodvibes Is the doing then resting paying off? Are your legs beginning to heal?

Kathe

I think some people are just toxic. That's why this is the place to come for sharing things. Everybody here is awesome! :grouphug: I think this bunch we're part of is sort of stuck together, hopefully permanently because I love all of you!

Kathe, I'm sad that your trip isn't in June so I could get together with you and all the others who'll be there!

Good to see you Deb!

Hi Holly. How's Tyler?

Ya know, I was thinking about all the problems you're having convincing Chuck that Tyler has special needs. What if the new baby grows to disturb Tyler's sensitivity to sensory overload. Could it be a problem if Dad is unwilling to admit that he might need to handle things between Tyler and the baby with caution? He'll need to be aware of what works for Tyler and what does not with the new baby around, especially as he or she grows and interacts more with Tyler.

Chuck will really have to wake up then won't he.

Something shocking happened to me today. My electricity bill is usually about $35/month. The one I opened today is $473!!!!!! That must be a huge mistake! I'm going to check my meter and see if I can read the numbers to check whether the meter reader wrote it incorrectly or something. Last year for the same month my bill says I used 469 KWH and this month it says I used 4829. No way could I possibly have used more than 10 times the amount of electricity! So I've got to give them a call Monday and see what's up.

Wow....that's a big mistake. I hope they help you get it fixed. I'm surprised at how low your bill normally is. I'm on a budget service and it costs me nearly $400 each month. I would love to have your bill.

Have a great time. It sounds like the seats are good.:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

It's great to be on with you here tonight Kathe. Just two more months now and you'll be on your way to the most happiest place on earth. SO COOL!

Yes, laying down for 6 hrs a day is working. The legs are staying dryer, the infection is going away and the swelling is going down. It's all good.

Deb, I thought of this the weekend I heard about the new baby. I do worry about this because he doesn't like babies. I'm afraid he'll unintentially do something if he gets overloaded when the baby cries and cries, something as simple as throwing something in the direction of the baby, but I worry about him grabbing her like he does the dog when the dog goes overboard with excitement when I drop Tyler off. I've mentioned it to his dad, but as I'm sure you can guess, his response was that there's no reason it would be a problem. I asked him to mention the baby to Tyler's doctor before our last appointment (because it's not my news to share), but afterwards, when I asked him why he didn't bring it up, he told me "these appointments are about Tyler, and that's not relevant to this situation". :headache: Same thing when we had to fill out the medical history part on the intake forms, I asked his dad if he remembered to mention his sister (she's had 2 suicide attempts and is still very unstable and has to live with their dad), he told me "this is about Tyler, not my family history". :headache:

So......main point....it's going to take something happening between Tyler and the baby for him to wake up and open his eyes, but I think he'll stay in denial because he'll say, "Oh, it's just the adjustment of having a new baby in the house".

I keep meaning to get some books from the library to read to Tyler to start preparing him for the baby coming because his dad & stepmom aren't (yes, I asked). :headache:

Hey I just realized that we have had 3 little girls born since we're all chatting here....all with S names....Sydney, Serenity and Sophie. That's pretty cool.

Our only resident newborn gent is Salvatore....another S name. Imagine! We must all really be connected.

Our house is very small (744 sq. ft.) with no basement or upstairs. Very easy to heat too. Even when I run the A/C all summer (central air) my electric bill is usually around $60. That's why I'm wondering what the heck this bill is about!

I'm so sick of winter:sick: I really need this vacation! It's been a lot milder weather over the last week, until yesterday :scared1: We had a high of 8C yesterday then a low of -15C...brrr, with the windchill it was really cold last night. It was a nice bright sunny day today, but cold. And of course I missed most of the sunshine as I was at work all day. It is getting lighter much earlier and staying light much later these days though which makes it so much nicer!!!! It's supposed to stay cold for the next few days, that's okay. Let's get winter all over with now so we can get on with spring as soon as possible:thumbsup2

Oh poor Tyler....this is going to be such a hard adjustment for him and they are the ones that don't help him. He'll be on his own.

You are great for wanting to try to help by preparing him even though it's not your responsibility. The poor guy needs to know what to expect and how to deal with difficult times. I pray that he doesn't inadvertently hurt the baby because of the adults' ignorance to his issues. No child should ever have to live with that kind of guilt that Tyler would surely feel. And it won't be his fault. Oh Holly. You have done your best and tried everything to get them to see. They will learn the hard way I'm sure. You really do have to try to help Tyler as much as you can. How hard is that going to be when you won't even be with him when he's around the baby.:confused3 :confused3

Oh they definitely made a mistake. I hope they're willing to help you fix it and don't cause you any problems.

Oh, speaking of babies, as we were leaving Tyler's dad's, Sheilah (stepmom) leaned out the front door and hollered to Tyler "Don't forget to tell your mom what you're getting!" He had no idea what she was talking about, so she told me they just found out the other day that the baby is a girl. I told her I'd wondered if everything was OK with the baby because I never hear them mention a word, and neither does Tyler. In fact, he hasn't mentioned the baby at all since he told me in November, even when I try to bring it up. Anyway, she told me everything's fine and she's just now 20 weeks. When we were on the way home, I asked Tyler, "Isn't that exciting?" He again had no idea what I was talking about, so I said, "The baby being a girl, now you can have a little sister just like your friend Hunter." He said "I guess" and asked he how much longer until he's a teenager. :confused3 Most kids are excited when a new sibling is coming, so it's a bit strange.

Hello Everybody

I just got back home now ....

I had a big surprised tonight that my brother proposed to his girlfriend...

She accept it...

He was playing the bowling with his team then we all had the meals then he was so nervous at speech, I thought myself how strange and I told him hey you go to yoga but realised that he bring the birthday cake for his friend as ask his girlfriend to open up the box for him.. turn out 'Will you marry me' Val, his girlfriend, was speechless and said YES....

I love late winter, early spring.....the first time the mild weather hits and the sun shines. It makes you itchy to have some summer fun. And I always hear the song, "Here Comes The Sun" by the Beatles playing in my head around this time of year. I have noticed that it's still light out when John gets home from work now. That's a great feeling.

I'm just a person that needs seasons. That's why I can't live in FL or anyplace tropical. I love to visit but I don't want to live there. I need the seasonal changes to occur.
