Howdy all! I'm back from another Sunday batch of WW meetings. Attendance was down again, but I think that's because for some it is a 3-day weekend.

It was a successful Sunday, 3 members reached 5% and 1 member reached lifetime.

I also floated an idea with the 3 meetings that I think I will implement as an experiment ... I'm going to set-up a Facebook for my meetings, 1 private for shared all three of them. It might be a way for members to connect and support each other throughout the week.

I will also periodically post support and recipes. Nothing ventured, nothing gained, or in this case lost.

This is a 3-day weekend for me, so no work tomorrow!

No, we don't bother. I did get a card which was fun as we usually have lots of jokes about them. We will say we aren't bothering, then I will get him one!!! He caught me out this time.:lmao: We have done odd things in the past, but these days I prefer to save the money for the vacations.

I couldn't agree more. I would much rather save for a cruise. John said to me, "I'm sorry that it's Valentine's Day and I didn't get you any candy or flowers." I said after 18 years does it really matter??? Some years we do something and some years we don't. It just depends on what else is going on at the time. We'll go out to eat next weekend and that will be nice.

It is fun surprising each other about who gets the card from year to year. So funny that John got you this time.

I'm really starting to get itchy because our next cruise is only seven months away. When it gets this close, the excitement starts to build. I'm really looking forward to September. I just love cruising on Micky's ship so much. It's my favorite thing in the world to be doing. John and I had to go for blood tests yesterday....routine stuff. I hate getting it done and it hurts with my fibromyalgia. So I close my eyes and I was right back at Quiet Cove having a BBC with Mickey. It helps to get thru the hard times for me.

What an excellent idea Ian. I'm sure you'll find even more success with your members if they have continued support all week. Go for it!!!

And V....don't give up! You can always come to us for support when you need it. You have come a long way already. You just hit a plateau. It will pass eventually. I do know how discouraging that is though. I remember when I started gaining weight while dieting after I quit smoking. That was a real shocker that I didn't anticipate. It hit me like a ton of bricks that I could work so hard at eating all the right stuff and yet still gain weight. I decided to take a break from dieting and then go back again when I stabilized. I wanted to start back up again in January, but with my current focus being on my legs I decided to start up after I have them under control. I can only deal with one thing at a time. Maybe you should consider taking a week off. Eat anything you want for just one week. Then start up again with WW. Maybe it will give you the incentive that you need to continue long term. I know Ian will kill me for suggesting such a thing, but it might help you at this point in time. I'm sending you many hugs to help you through this rough patch.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY EVERYONE!

(better late than never):flower3:

Here's my little gift to everyone: a variation on the "chocolate cake in a mug" recipe. I can personally vouch for this one. I tried it and it was pretty darn good! After the 60 sec. I put a few mini marshmallows on top, covered the mug with a saucer so they'd melt a little, and DUG IN!

Microwave Cake in a cup

A microwave safe cup, 12 ounces or around that.
Cooking spray

Ingredients:
2 tablespoons flour
1 &1/2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
2 teaspoons cocoa powder
A pinch of salt
2 tablespoons milk
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
3/4 teaspoon oil
Spray your cup with cooking spray, just enough to coat the cup. In a bowl(I mixed it in the cup), mix together all your ingredients and stir well. Now pour this batter into your cup.
Put the cup in the microwave and cook it on full power for 60 seconds. Depending on the power of your microwave, and your altitude (go figure) you may have to cook the cake longer. Only cook in additional 15 second intervals, because an overcooked cake is no good, and it's even worse because you're microwaving it.
Once your cake is finished, it should be nice and fluffy. Now to serve it.

Take a plate and a butter knife, and gently turn your cup over, letting the cake slide out of the cup. Guide it with soft presses of the butter knife, and once it's out, set the cup aside to be washed.

*This one doesn't boil up out of the mug. Mine was done in 60 sec. I didn't bother trying to take it out of the cup--too much work!

Maybe Ken can change that to a lamb chop.;) And I thought you were creaped out by face book? Now you want to creap out your members?:rotfl2:

I'm only creeped out by people who stalk me on Facebook, like you. So please stop it. I know I'm wonderful, but I'm also a married man.

I've never looked at any of those strange messages on Facebook. There are all sorts of 'friends' who want to do things with me!!!:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Thanks Deb, I'm not throwing in the towel. I did have a good talk with my WW leader, Andria on Friday and came away with a renewed positive attitude. I really don't think I could take time "off". Since I really believe that following the WW plan is the best thing for me and that it does work, there really is not an off time. It is a life style and for a lifetime. And some how eating what I want would just mean that it is pounds I would have to lose again. But like I said, I'm learning that there will be ups and downs, and I will continue to be persistent

Oh, thanks for figuring that out. Now that I can do.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: that must be an impostor, cause Bubba has yet to have a facebook page.:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I've been ok with friend requests, it is those so called messages that appear on pages such as the green patch, or the Pathwords page. it says I have x number of friends who want to kiss me(or other things). sometimes I think I would like to click it to see what it is all about. Very strange.
