I'll miss your birthday Lisa. I'm heading home on the 18th. It sounds like a weekend might be best for everyone. I'm only there for one weekend. What does everyone think, would Sat May 16th or Sunday May 17th work?

Kathe

Both work for us but would prefer Sat so we can stay later. That work thing really cuts in to our fun time.

PM me your email address and let me know which ones you want, OK? Glad you liked it!

I can't tell you how much fun it was to put those cards together for everyone! Going back over my pictures and picking out the shots for everyone brought back so many wonderful memories! I'd look at those pictures and I couldn't help but smile and smile and smile! Weren't we lucky to have such a wonderful trip together???

:grouphug: :grouphug: THANKS, EVERYONE, FOR ALL THE AWESOME MEMORIES!!!:grouphug: :grouphug:

We love it Cheri!!! Thank you so much for the wonderful memories!!

Just go on your profile page 'photo' page. Click to add photos. It might try and get you to add Activex something for a quicker load if you don't already have it on your computer, but I just used the simple uploader which you see a link to.

Then you can browse and post direct from your computer. It is a little slow however, but much faster than photobucket.

Great, thanks! I'll probably do that tomorrow. :thumbsup2

Who's the resident drunk?????

Her name is Laurie, another legal secretary. She's been working there about a year and a half and her first month I smelled alcohol, but nobody else did, so I figured I just imagined it. Well, this past month others started smelling it on her. One day last week it was so bad, I could smell it in the hallway before getting to her desk! The secretary who sits next to her finally told our office manager because she was tired of smelling it. On Friday, our office manager asked me if I've ever smelled it and I told her I have often.

I'm sure she's not coming in drunk, I think it's just a lingering smell from drinking lots the night before, very late into the night, but it still affects her job because in the morning, she's horribly slow and not very mentally with it.

Did they fire her or lay her off. It seems like it would be hard to fire a pregnant woman.
Michigan's an "at will" state. You don't have to have a reason to fire anybody. They just told her there wasn't enough work for her.

Here is a pic of my latest trouble maker

But she looks so innocent... :goodvibes

Ah, but this was Venetia and Bubba's Christmas dinner!

...well, time to leave the office, go home and watch 3 HOURS OF "LOST" :cool1:

Well... it BELONGS over on Bendy's thread... :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Well it wasn't Miley Cyrus but I guess it's something :rotfl2: Can you imagine ever forgetting your first night in the White House? I wonder if they can have friends over.

I thought the news last night said it was a slumber party with friends too, and they watched Bolt and HSM3, plus the stuff Deb mentioned.

Attention Wii Owners (Communique No. 2)

Even if I have swapped Wii addresses with you, please PM me your number and your email address if you want to be on the Wii swap list.

Sending it to me has many benefits:

  1. I don't have to go in the basement and turn on the Wii and copy down numbers.
  2. I'll know that you want to be on the swap list
  3. I don't have everyone's email address

Thank you for your cooperation during these technology times.

Well I think I figured out what to do about my dog. We had her Invisible Fence fixed today but I think she needs training. She is a very powerful and smart dog. We have tried to train her but my mom and I didn't spend enough time with her. So we have a Pet Safe Village http://petsafevillage.com/dog_training.htm and they will take your dog for 2 weeks and train them 6 days a week. The dog would stay there and be trained daily (and fed). They then teach the owners how to do it too. And there are follow-up visits for a year. It is very expensive but it would be nice to be able to control her and walk her and have her house trained. We are still thinking about it as it is very expensive but she would be so much more enjoyable. Oh it would also provide interaction with other dogs, we have another do but she hates all the other ones.

My mom's street is one of the only ones that hasn't had a break-in or seen coyotes. We know she wouldn't hurt the kids and watches them but she does seem scary when she barks so, I think the other neighbors would like her more if she were trained and knew we had control over her.

Jill, that sounds like a great idea, and well worth the cost. :thumbsup2

I know people that it has worked for. Good luck.

Ever get the feeling that maybe they are just replacing the other girl who just left???? Maybe a bit more went wrong than you know...
No, they've already replaced her. They hired her replacement over a week ago, and all of us were wondering who was going to be the one to go because that made 6 secretaries for only 5 cubicles, so we knew she was hired to replace somebody, just didn't know who until the day she was let go.

The train on Michelle Obama's gown was too wimpy. It was too short.

Had it been longer, she could have picked up and held the gown/train out when she walked or backed up.

As it was, it was more like a hem that had come loose in the back and something to trip over.

And before any of the guys on this thread start ragging me ... just try it and see how tough you are. If you want to see if you're man enough spend a night in heels, and see how you feel by the end of the night.

Just remember:

Ginger Rogers did everything that Fred Astair did, but backwards and in heels.

Thank God we don't have to wear heels all the time anymore :crazy2:

Well at least they are a little normal. Do they have a regular nanny or just secret service :rotfl2:
