Hi Maz - how's your evening going?

I think I maybe doing a tour of Kent before my cruise-hitting different WWII sights before ending up in Dover.

A bit boring here Monica. Nothing on TV these days. I have a DVD, but can't be bothered to get into that.

I think Kent is a lovely county - the garden of England they call it. Don't forget Dover Castle, and if you are into WW2, there are the underground tunnels from the war command there. Very interesting.

I just found out about the connection btwn Ian Fleming, 007, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang & Kent...quite interesting.

I believe the Battle of Britain site is not too far from Dover too.

I don't know too much about it all I'm afraid, but I think it will be interesting.

Of course with all the research I'm doing there's alot I want to see - but I can't take anymore time off for this trip!

English muffins make great bacon sandwiches - very juicy, but you do need butter on them, and proper bacon!

Do they have English muffins over there now? They didn't exist when I was living there.

I think creepy. Michelle also had an old high school friend look her up, it was weird. I've had a few girls friend me thru another friend (a boy) which I find really funny because I just didn't have any girl friends in high school that stuck. Always a boy friend and girl friends from other places, like work or church. High School was a strange time for me.

It's just so weird that he's even though of me after 36 years. I am really hesitant to add him as a friend on Facebook. I was 17 years old the last time we were friends, and even then, he stopped being my friend.

Tell us what you think, I want to see it too ::yes::

We REALLY liked "Doubt." The performances are amazing. Very controlled, a very tight movie, and very tense.

I don't want to say too much about it. It is about much more than it appears.

I love the Cotswolds and the Lake District myself.

OK, Marilyn, confess ... which do you know better, central Florida or the South of England.

...don't anybody faint....got a couple of things done around the house...and actually ate BistroMD food too.....I can nearly see the top of my dining room table...and the check book is balanced...and there's a load of wash in....I might have to take a nap, don't want to overdo it! :lmao:

Hi friends.....John and me are enjoying our peaceful and quiet space today. It's wonderful.

We had quite a good chuckle this morning when I read on Tom's myspace comment that he pierced his lip last night and got yelled at by his parents and had to take it out. He wasn't even home 24 hours yet. Their problem now, not mine. I said Tom won't even last a week and Joe will be throwing him out. Not sure where he'll go, but it won't be my house.

brb, John has to rewrap the leg bandages.

I think I've taken one step further for our May trip (the trip Monica said she would be in the "Baltic" rather than see us).

I added the dining plan onto our DVC reservation.

Now I just need to figure out where we'll be eating.

That will be dependent on a DIS meet-up about which I am currently clueless.

You're not going to tell me that they originate from the US are you?? I never had, nor knew about, English muffins till I met Johns sister from the south so I presume they were a southern favourite!

We are very fond of the Lake District too Ian. It is beautiful, and also has some great coffee shops!!! ;) We have been many times as it is the closest ot us. We used to walk the Lakeland /fells - John more than me and he did get to the top of some of the hills and mountains. We have visited the cotswolds a few times. Of course, we live on the edge of 2 beautiful areas, the Yorkshire Dales and the Yorkshire Wolds/North Yorkshire moors.

 Central Florida - well Orlando at least!!!

So glad I was sitting down for that revelation :rotfl2:

Well, when do you want to meet up? We are there for over 5 weeks, so park rime isn't as important to us obviously so we can pretty much fit in with you. Do you want to meet for a meal? In a park? Is the Sunday your first full day because Lisa and Darryll probably can only make that day. We need to contact Lisa as she isn't here too much. Not sure of Michelle's dates, but we must meet up once or twice. Of course there could be 2 meets! We are there all week, and have a couple of other meets to finalise too!!!

Going to be a good week.

:wave2: Hi Monica

We are going to the movies this afternoon, so it seems...

The kids are seeing Hotel for Dogs. Paul and I are going to see Gran(d)? Torino (Clint Eastwood) I wish Doubt was playing at the theater we are going to I'd much rather see that. I might try to change our location...brb checking the web now.
