OK - so now the firefly/lightening bug extravaganza outside our house this evening piqued my curiosity. Sukie wondered why they light up and I said that I think they're talking to each other.

It was enough to send me to the Internet to look it up. Here's what I found:
WHY DO LIGHTNING BUGS FLASH?

Flashing Lightning Bugs are trying to attract mates. Among most but not all species of North American Lightning Bugs, males fly about flashing while females perch on vegetation, usually near the ground. If the female sees a flasher and she's ready to mate she responds by flashing right after the male's last flash. A short flash dialogue takes place as the male flies closer and closer, and then, if all goes well, they mate.




Little did we know that was going on. So, it looks like the firefly spectacular outside our house this evening was some sort of wild firefly/lightning bug sex party.



I think in the morning I'm going to go out to check for and clean up lots of tiny little empty beer bottles, and itsy bitsy empty bottles of vodka and tequila, not to mention hundreds of tiny cigarette butts.

Did everyone see one of the trailers for Tink? She put pixie dust on the fireflies to make them glow.

I'm with you guys, I love PB. I can't wait to taste that fried PB cup from the fair.

I make my own PB cups.. not for me, but my brothers love them... take hershey bars and melt them in a double boiler or the microwave... mix in some pb, coat cupcake papers with the chocolate and put in the freezer.. when they are solid, put in the pb and cover with the rest of the chocolate and then put in the fridge... they freeze really well, my brother says...

I'm here! Oh my gosh, I'm going through DIS withdrawals and now everybody is gone! Today was the busiest day I've had at work in longer than I can remember. Not one single second to spare to check here. Unbelievably busy, but it made the day fly by! I much prefer that over those boring days I usually have with no work.

My migraine came back this afternoon, but I've managed to keep it to a tolerable level with the Rx stuff. I wish these darned storms would hurry up and arrive and pass through, then I'd be fine again.

Well being busy would make the day go faster. Sorry about the migraine though.

It is an arcade and a bar and restaurant. It is similar to ESPN Zone or Game Works, if you know what those are.

We don't have those either, but I've heard there's a Game Works closer to Detroit.

Have you tried wax beans (same as green beans, just yellow in colour)? Have you tried frozen vs canned veggies? Some people seem to like canned peas and hate frozen or vice versa? Just throwing ideas out there

Thanks! No, I haven't bothered. I figure, as long as he's eating a green veggie and a fruit with every lunch & supper, that's good enough. He just gets stuck in a rut, but eventually moves on. He used to only eat broccoli for a couple years for his veggie, but just a year ago switched to green beans. I just offer others now and then.

We got a Wii Fit today!!

Amazing really as they are out of stock everywhere and I have been looking online and in the shops and they just about laugh at you!!

anyway, we were in town and had split up. Whe we got home John said he had seen a few Wii fit's in Argos, our large catalogue store which has a shop in town. I said 'WHAT???!!!' Why didn't you get one?' He said he didn't know I wanted one.

I actually thought he had seen something else in the shop. I checked on the online reserve at store and that said they had no stock. But, he went back and came home with one!!

I think you just have to be in the right place at the right time.

I was pleased to have an age 2 years less than my real age, but John was 13 years younger! I have done 30 mins of exercise - he did 1 min and that was that!

Goodmorning all,
Another busy day of selling bike parts, toys, clothes, Disney and DCL stuff on Ebay. I can't believe how much stuff we've donated as well. DH"s bike parts are selling like crazy, stuff we've hauled from house to house for 15 years and never used. I'm not buying anything while selling... I'm being so very good. We've been trying to work on scrapbooks at night, so we're tackling more rubbermaids of stuff at night. Not getting a darn thing done with homework, but I'm squeezing in business in between the decluttering. All the dust has made my skin break out like you can't believe. Can't wait till this project is over... but I'm watching lots of tennis, movies, and the Tour d' France begins next week.

I'd sell you mine.

21 foot long Winebago RIALTA, gets 16 miles to the gallon, can climb mountains, has a trailer hitch to pull the race car trailer. It has a double bed, seat belts for three, little refrigerator, two burner gas stove, microwave, bathroom almost as big as a catgegory 11 on the MAGIC. It can park in a normal parking space at a shopping center and handles really well. Feels like you are driving the family van or SUV not a truck. We love it, but we only used it two weekends last year. It needs a home with someone who will not just love it but also use it.

.....I love our lanyards too. If we get some for our next cruise Deb, I want they same kind, though I will miss seeing all the green ones around the ship.

We did not have the official lanyard as we got in too late for that, but had the hang tags and a different green lanyard. I really like the DCL lanyard so put the DIS hang tag on it. Lots of people did not notice.

Some cruises we have had buttons that were a DIS identifier.

We can have green if people want.

Glad it's the weekend...I need some time to stare into space and not think 'bout nutin for a while. Then I may segue into a book or a movie....THEN I can move on to bill paying and house cleaning and grocery shopping. Off to make a cup of tea and try to achieve full consciousness.

A gorgeous sunny day here in fl. I am working on my first MBA exam....fun stuff! It's an HR class but I have to write essential a paper and the APA guidlines they use are different than what I am used to. I did three quizzes and got a's on all three! Yeah me!

I miss you all. Wish we were cruising right now.

Also put in the rest of my garden and announced today that after I put in some seeds... I have no idea what is growing out there!!!
