You know with all the airlines complaining and adding charges and cutting flights... Southwest just announced that they are adding flights out of our airport...

I guess that means they may be able to use another of the 20 gates at Albany??? :lmao:

Good job, V! I really admire you for going for your MBA. I just don't think I have the focus for serious brain work anymore. Either that or my head is just too full of 'stuff' accumulated over 50 plus years...no more room!

Ok Everyone...

Say a prayer...

Cross every finger...

do whatever...
I just got a call from the realtor up at the lake... they have another person who is looking at MY property today (ok... so it's not MINE yet...)

I'm about a week away from getting the financing for it and if someone comes in and grabs it from me I'm going to go and crawl up in a ball in the corner and cry for a couple of days... or weeks or months...

The only good thing is that they didn't rush up to see it (they made the appt 3 weeks ago...) the Realtor is going to tell them that she has a serious interest with my just waiting for the financing AND there is a thunderstorm on it's way through the area this afternoon... (I checked the weather channel...) (you don't want to look at waterfront property in the middle of a thunderstorm, now do you???)

I know... if it's not meant to be.. but there are only a handfull of lots on my lake that aren't built on yet and the rest are owned by one family who never sells... so this is really only one of a very few chances to get this kind of lot. Otherwise I have to wait for something to come up and if I don't like the house I have to tear it down and start over.

So...if anyone has a good in with God... please let him know I'm a good person and I promise not to cut down any more trees than I absolutely have to... :)

thanks - I admit it's pretty tough. I have to log in for quizzes and they are timed so I have to know the stuff and DH has to wrangle the girls. I just want to be more marketable. I would love to do a nursing program so I understood the clinical side of the hospital but time does not allow it, I'd have to quit my job to do it.

Sorry Ian to hear it was a no-go. Hope all goes well in Sept! I went back to WW....fun stuff!! My last weigh in was 4/07, the gal at the desk eyed me and the date.....but welcomed me back!

Oh wow, I just assumed they lived everywhere. I never thought some states don't have lightning bugs/fireflies! Wow! I, as all kids, loved catching them as a kid and filling a mayo jar with them, poking holes in the lid so they have air, and watching them light up. :goodvibes

In fact, tonight I saw some out the window for the first time this summer.

I've actually never seen one except on TV. As far as I know they aren't up this way either.

We got a Wii Fit today!!

Amazing really as they are out of stock everywhere and I have been looking online and in the shops and they just about laugh at you!!:confused3

anyway, we were in town and had split up. Whe we got home John said he had seen a few Wii fit's in Argos, our large catalogue store which has a shop in town. I said 'WHAT???!!!' Why didn't you get one?' He said he didn't know I wanted one.

I actually thought he had seen something else in the shop. I checked on the online reserve at store and that said they had no stock. But, he went back and came home with one!!

I think you just have to be in the right place at the right time.

I was pleased to have an age 2 years less than my real age, but John was 13 years younger! I have done 30 mins of exercise - he did 1 min and that was that!:rotfl2:

Congrats! Now we'll never see you posting as you'll be Wii fitting all the time now!

Welcome to the club. And once John gets used to the board he'll have fun with the games on it. I particularly enjoy the Ski Jumping and have some sort of strange morbid fascination with the soccer one.

Michelle I hope things work out for you!!

Ditto, Michelle. We, of course, have some selfish reasons to hope this works out for you too. :rolleyes1

V, we are very proud of you for putting out this effort to better yourself. Our oldest DD is doing the same, but just now working on her BA. We know how hard this is to juggle with all of other life's challenges. And we appreciate Johnny for supporting you in this also. Love you both.

If it's meant to be it will be, if not something else is for you. I know how hard it is to be in limbo. We had a house in contract and lost it after 3 weeks due to the seller not being honest with us....that was 3 + years ago....still waiting.

We are headed out for an overnight to Dixon. Wilson has a club race tomorrow. Hopefully no fires and bad air up there. I have to admit I'm a bit concerned. The air here is terrible....gotta get packed up.

Have a good time Nan! Good luck to Wilson and safe air wishes to all.

V, glad the class is going well. Glad you're able to do it. :thumbsup2

Michelle, good luck for the property to end up yours. The waiting must be awful. Hang in there!

Marilyn, congratulations! Welcome to our little Wii Fit family.

I'm envious. It gave my age as 15 years older than I am!

I have not yet done the ski jump or soccer. Though I am having severe fights with the balance bubble.

I've actually never seen one except on TV. As far as I know they aren't up this way either.

I wish it was possible to snap a photo, but their light is very fleeting.

Not sure if they're going to have another mega sex party tonight outside in our front garden.

I think they are, because when I was out in the garden this afternoon, I found a tiny stack of 45's under a leaf.

Very lazy day around here. We've been trying to run errands weeknights and leave our weekends free, so that has been working out nicely.

I was interviewed about Mouse Manager for a podcast this morning.

We did end up going out in the car to do a bit of shopping. I was minding my own business, when some jerk on a bike said to me that he'd bet he gets better milage than I do, as if there was a competition going on.

I said, "Are you in the habit of being in competition with people who don't give a fiddler's &*@k about you?' (I'm known near and far for being such a polite gentleman when I'm behind the wheel of a car).

He was with his girlfriend and I'm afraid I said some other rather choice things that I daren't repeat here, but it did leave him "gob smacked" as our UK friends would say, and Sukie in hysterics.

Then I drove off.

Me too! Will we ever stop thinking that?

Perhaps, maybe.:worried:

Oh, he is better at the Ski Jumping and the slalom than I am. He seems better on the finer movement games like the slalom, the table tilt and tightrope. I'm better at the aerobics, steps and general exercise.

It is fun and a lot of laughs.

I didn't look at my weight, but it said I was just into the obese category!:worried: :worried:
