I ws shopping with Gretchen and my cell phone rang. It was Tammy B!! It was so good to hear from her. I wish we could have talked longer, but Gretchen was loving my company. She is off to Hilton Head on July 5th and they got a puppy!!

Something amazing must be going on here, maybe the weather is just right or something, but there is a veritable explosion of fireflies in our front garden and parkway strip. Our neighbor next door to the east of us, also ripped up all her grass and went with natural plantings and between the two houses, the fireflies are putting on a light show tonight. The funny thing is that they are not around any of the other yards. I guess they must be happy fireflies.

I have never seen so many in my life before.

what size is your motorhome? we are looking for one for a rental to take to the track in Santa Maria.

I'd sell you mine.

21 foot long Winebago RIALTA, gets 16 miles to the gallon, can climb mountains, has a trailer hitch to pull the race car trailer. It has a double bed, seat belts for three, little refrigerator, two burner gas stove, microwave, bathroom almost as big as a catgegory 11 on the MAGIC. It can park in a normal parking space at a shopping center and handles really well. Feels like you are driving the family van or SUV not a truck. We love it, but we only used it two weekends last year. It needs a home with someone who will not just love it but also use it.

Anyone interested?

I've never seen any.:( But I bet it is a beautiful sight. I would love to see some one day.

Now, Lightning Bugs ( as we call Fireflies) are one thing I really miss about the midwest! We don't have them here in Florida.

I will enjoy them this weekend when we are at the wedding in Walnut, IL!

My Verizon bill is usually about $250 per month (7 phones unlimited) and my bill this month was $500 with the roaming charges. Still it was worth it to talk to my kids!!

bingo, i wrote the check today for ours twice what it normally is from 250-500

Oh wow, I just assumed they lived everywhere. I never thought some states don't have lightning bugs/fireflies! Wow! I, as all kids, loved catching them as a kid and filling a mayo jar with them, poking holes in the lid so they have air, and watching them light up. :goodvibes

In fact, tonight I saw some out the window for the first time this summer.

sounds close to what we might want, but we need to find something to "house" the kart inside rather than a trailer behind. We are going to look at a rental place next monday and see what we can test out this idea...

Well, here's something worse: he doesn't like peanut butter either! I've never heard of a kid who doesn't eat PB&J. Tyler's just a weirdo.

I bet it is a texture thing. Some people are more sensitive to certain textures and applesauce is a combination of lumpy and liquid while peanut butter is just plain sticky and slick at the same time. Just thinking about them is kind of yicky.

Makes absolute sense for Tyler. :thumbsup2

It is 37 foot, 3 slide outs. Made by the same folks as the one(s) used in the movie RV. It is very similar to that one, just an upgraded model. The one in the movie was the base model, no bells and whistles. I think your family would enjoy an outing in one.

None in the Pacific Northwest either, or the Rocky Mountain States. I do remember them from visiting my grandmother in Oklahoma though.

Absolutely have to head to bed. Migraine meds are making me.....but I'm sure they'll make me wide awake in about 3 hours. Crazy, but if it makes my head stop pounding, I'm OK with that. :thumbsup2

Goodnight all!
