And the guy in the hawiian shirt behind Jackie was super nice. Talked to him a few times and cant remember his name.

And I could be wrong but I think thats Ian standing next to Ian who is standing behind Ian!!!:rotfl:His wife and kids are standing next to me, but cant remember their names. He was in Iraq, I think.

Hey Bubba......how's your summer going? Hugs to V for me. Ya know, next month is one year for my mom and it'll be two days later for V's. Can you believe it went so fast? Shocker!

When are you guys doing your Carnival cruise? Where are you travelling? That will be great. Do you have another cruise booked on DCL? Have you thought about Tortola? It would sure be great to have a do over and really make time to hang out together this time. We just didn't see you guys enough.

no denying it I WILL BE A BASKET CASE. BUT, Paul and I talked about this last night and agreed that we will go back to being best friends and finding our groove without them. We laughed about how much time we spend together (we share an office ya know) much more than most couples we know and it seems to work....

That's us Nan, were best friends here.

We think we can't wait but I'm sure it will be hard when it comes around. Do you think we'll stay in bed all day like we used to :lovestruc

No! there is too much to do and see and enjoy.

My Shannon was 29 when I was 47. I am now 58 and she is turning 40 this year, our youngest is 30. I'm done young, thus DrHug and I can still enjoy hauling our bedroom around with us! :cool1: :smokin: :moped:

We were done young too but not as young as you starting a family, but finished before you!!!:lmao: I had all 3 in a little over 3 years.

I never went through the ENS. There was too much to do and too many places to go. I stayed busy and I enjoyed being able to redecorate. Betsy laughs because when she came home from college the first time I had gotten rid of everything in her room and had redone it.

I never really went through ENS - I was so ready for some me time. I remember a friend saying the biggest problem to her when her son left home was that she kept buying too much toilst tissue!!!

Did anyone get a commemorative mexican riveria pin for DVC members in the mail today? (This may be old news, lol.)

No, nothing here at all and I'm not really expecting anything being overseas, but it would be nice.

I didn't get anything from anyone for any reason any time any way any who!

Me neither!!:worried:

Going for pizza was kind of a novelty in the early 70's when we lived in Tucson. There were only a couple of places that served it. Does anyone remember Shakey's Pizza Parlor, with the ragtime piano player?:hippie:

I don't think I saw a pizza till the mid 80's!!:confused3

Today I got a DVC Mexican Riviera pin in the mail. The Card said:

We're thrilled that you joined us on our unforgettable journey to the Mexican Riviera, blah blah blah. We're thanking our Members by giving you this limited release pin so exclusive only one is provided per family.....

I guess all DVC members who take the Mexican Riviera cruise will get one.

As for me, I went back to the doctor for a recheck on my medications, my happy pill for the morning and my sleepy pill for night. She is doubling my happy pill, apparently I am not happy enough. And she is changing my sleeping pill to something less addictive. Which is a good thing.

Things at home are the same as most other people with a tween and a teen living in them. Only magnified because of the grief. My daughter has been expressing her grief more than before which is a good thing. My son has been too but I think it is much much harder on him. Yesterday he told me that it was only in the last six months or so before his Dad died that he finally realized how much his Dad loved him. Which of course made me cry and cry.

I'm so sorry Tammy. Like Angie said, I so wish I could make it better for you all. Seems like your son is talking about things which is good, and for him to say he knew how much his dad loved him is so special for a teenage boy.

Martha(Nanatink) and her husband are behind Ken and Shannon.

Is it Piratepoint(forgot his name) and his wife Linda behind me?

Is Gatorfamily(forgot name again sorry) the lady next to Deb's John?

There are a few who didn't turn up which is a shame.

Good Morning

I glad that I bought the picture of us, of the disboards and glad that names down now *** I feel shame that we have not met some.

Last day, tomorrow that school is closing :furious: :rotfl:

I wish I ask my work for time off - unpaid but I don't think so I see not enough staff now as their turn on holiday as my work won't take any extra student on which is a great shame.:(

Never mind, I am patience as I only work for part time should be fine.

Here are a few more names
My DH is Albert, looking over my right shoulder.
Connie's son is Michael, standing behind the ship's wheel, next to him is Curt, Susie's husband
Deb is standing between you and Jackie.

Ann

Ian - Ken's best is 280. Mine is only 224. I play more on super hula hoop. My girls "help" me exercise by doing it with me. DD6 will stand beside me while I do it and swing her hips and tell me who's throwing the hoop. She'll also try the stepping and boxing, standing by me while I do it. I love my cheering squad. We've tried the 2-person running and she kicks my butt!

No super hula hooping here ... I'm really pushing to break 270.

I have also been doing the runs, and rhythm boxing.

I also tried the balance bubble, which was really tough. I've also realized that I've got really bad balance (nothing like being told off by a video game).

 Hope you all are doing better soon!

How is the scrapbooking going?

Thanks everyone for the  . I actually went to the scrapbook store yeterday and since I was down bought a bunch of paper. When I went to check out my step-dad bought it for me! I ended up making 96 pieces before I left home! I will post pics when I get back. Its only 12 different things but I made 8 of each.

Today we are going to my favorite water park Big Kahunas. I have been going since I was very little but this will be my sisters first time.

You guys are cracking me up about the empty nest syndrome that you will experience in ten years or so.......what will it be like???? What can you then do that you don't do now????

You're asking all these questions when I'm right in the middle of it. No I have never had any kids, but we have always had John's grown kids along with the grandkids from babies to driving. I have always had my nephews all summer long at mom's house. We would run to different places and do busy things all summer....pool, beach, drive in movies.....lots of outside fun stuff. Barbeques! Lots of barbeques at everyone's house and fireworks on the fourth of July. I LOVE summer.

Now it's me and the cat and the turtles and the dog. It's summer. I can't call any of my usual people that have always been here to run out and play with. I have acquaintances nearby, not good friends. My good friends live an hour or two away. John, my best friend is always at work or commuting and has no time for himself. I'm sitting right in the middle of the empty nest and don't know how to take that first step out because life has changed!

Amen. Same here.

We got a DVD from them but no pin. Got the puzzle from DCL.

Tammy glad to hear that the kids are starting to vocalize their grief. From experience that is the first step in healing. Your kids were great and it was a pleasure to meet all of you. Hope to see again some day.

Der Weinerschnitzel. 5 hotdogs for a buck! Dennis got 3, I had 2. :thumbsup2

A sack of White Castles for a $1.

I laugh everytime I see that picure because I'm tickling Olivia every time the camera goes down. Plus the Thing family kills me.

Next to Cheri and Jackie is Debwills (I think?)

Next to Susie and curt is Tom Threebritts (I think?)

Julie's husband is Raphael (Mexican mousketeers) daughter Estrella

Below Vicki is Sandi (Merry Mouseketeers) then Carol (dark hair -you can barely see her face - Merry Mouseketeers)
