Lisa.... Good luck today. It is going to be hard, but you guys have had such a wonderful time! You could always think back to that first trip to WDW and it might not be so hard.

Tammy..... really don't know the right words to say....cherish the memories you have and hugs your kids often!

haha!! Every time I cried today.....that is exactly what Gretcehn said...."remember mom you wanted to send her home in the fall"

You know I think we both learned a whole lot from that experience. She learned where the line in the sand was for me and I learned what is up and coming for me with two girls coming of age!

We were at the airport for 10 hours......long long story!!

I was telling my friends (the mom's of Molly's best friends Nora & Hannah) about Vanessa going home last night and we agreed when our girls are ready to exchange that we can't have them do a whole year. TOO LONG. Vanessa's mom must be in heaven today seeing her little (big) girl. Keep that in mind as you are missing her

I've got the 3 girls here tonight for a sleepover. I understand the wanting them around. I fill my house with them all I can get....

Are you kidding.....he's with HIS webster......he LOVES his webster. I don't think he likes being up so early in his PJs out and about before coffee!

Look at the other picture of the breakfast group and John put Webs up on top of Mickey!

Webster has been on every vacation with us since the beginning of his time with us.....and it's been a long time.

Deb, thanks for giving me Webster's name. Did I get the names of your turtles right?

Thank you for that Cheri. I've been so sad about her lately. Just looking all over for her face. It's so hard to lose a pet. It feels so empty.

That is the reason that we have 2 dogs...2 years apart...it was so hard coming home to that empty house after we lost Sucia (our first dog and we joke, the reason we got married). It certainly is a different type of loss you feel with pets but it is so hard. to both you and Deborah.

Thanks for the well-wishes everybody, the appointment went surprisingly well. The doctor was suprised to learn the next appt, the one where he evaluates Tyler, isn't until 7/22, with the final appt being 7/24, so he walked us to the checkout desk and instructed the receptionist to keep Tyler's file sitting right next to her computer as a reminder that the first cancellation belongs to us. Turns out the Dr. used to be a special ed teacher for a number of years before becoming a psychiatrist, so he had some great tips for keeping Tyler learning over the summer.

This is GREAT NEWS!! Lots and lots of great news!

funny you say that. I got Casey when my first red headed Border Collie, Kowdog, was 5 because she was my first dog (on my own) and I knew when she died I'd be a mess. Kowdog got sick one weekend and we lost her quickly. She was only 10. Kow died in August, we got pregnant in October. Molly was named after Kowdog. I called Kow Molly Moo Kow. I truely believe that there was some soul swapping going on in heaven and that explains the red hair . When Casey was getting older I started to feel the same way, as we were so attached to her so we got Jenny Rose, another red border collie. While Jenny offers us comfort she isn't like Kow or Casey. Jenny is a dog, the others were like family.

I know this feeling for sure...Sucia was our first baby...'Ohana and Hau Kea are our dogs but not the same kind of bond as we had with Sucia. Although, in the end, now that I think about it....she would get mad at Scott if he gave me attention over her, so I guess that wasn't the best either!

Yup, George and Linda, green shirts, top row, labeled in my list of names for that picture as we saw them everywhere we went so got to know them.

I was thinking about you and hope you both are keeping well.


I do and I know it is not easy for you too.

I am sad today as my brother's girlfriend dog called kip (collie dog) which is my favourite dog was put down yesterday. he was only 2 half years old, he sleep peaceful now. Not know why as he got illness, cannot walk, cannot hear, got one blind eye. Vet decided to put him sleep :sad.

Thanks Deborah. So sorry about Kip. Very sad.

All I have been thinking about is her mom and dad!! I really am happy for them. I have spoken to Elizabeth twice today and they are really ready for her to come home to them.

She belongs in Norway.....that is her home. She just became such a part of our family and we all fell in love with each other!!

She may come back next summer and work here in the USA!! Maybe she will stay at our beach house!!

The exchange group gave her a very stupid fight home with lots and lots of layovers. Dulles to Newark. 5 hour layover. Newark to Frankford. 5 hour layover. Frankford to Olso.

Well United would not let Vanessa board this morning. Long Long sad story....but we ended up getting her on a SAS flight that left at 5pm instead of noon. She gets to Oslo 4 hours sooner. Dulles to Copenhagen. 1 hour layover. Copenhagen to Oslo. Home at 9am....(3am our time) She will be home in less than 6 hours now.....so much better!!

Her best friend and I sent a huge bunch of flowers to be delivered tomorrow. For the next several months, until the swing of school at home gets going again for her, it will be a busy time.

I will miss her, but I am much much better now.

The girls are already shopping for airfare!! Gretchen and Annie would go tomorrow if I let them. I am sure we will go and Vanessa's parents have invited us whenever we can come!!

But she is not lost, she is just far away physically. I bet you and she will make arrangements to get together in person as well as by computer.
