We are also trying to figure this out. So I unfortunately can’t help you right now but we might call to see if they can enlighten us in advance of the purchase.Does anyone have any info on if DVC codes as travel with the Costco Citi Visa? It gives 3% on travel.
I tracked down the information a few months ago and at that time timeshare purchases did not qualify as travel for the Costco card.We are also trying to figure this out. So I unfortunately can’t help you right now but we might call to see if they can enlighten us in advance of the purchase.
Thanks, this is so helpful!I tracked down the information a few months ago and at that time timeshare purchases did not qualify as travel for the Costco card.
I went with a Chase Sapphire card (2 or 3 percent back depending on which version), and a Visa Disney card (1 or 2 percent depending on which version but more important to me is the 6 month no interest). I may also open a Chase Ink Preferred business card (3 percent) but need to verify if I qualify since I don't own my own business.
Chase has the 5/24 rule so keep that in mind if you are trying to game the intro offers.
I would read www.10xtravel.com - they have a free course which goes over credit card points in detail and one of the chapters deals specifically with business cards. Basically, most people qualify even if you don't run a traditional business. I have a couple things that could loosely count as side hustles and have qualified with Chase for the various Ink cards. Definitely worth looking into.I tracked down the information a few months ago and at that time timeshare purchases did not qualify as travel for the Costco card.

lol I just checked this a couple hours ago.So the Chase Ink Preferred 120K offer is now public and not just targeted but it's still not working for referrals. There are reports that messaging chase they will match the offer after you apply but Im still waiting, I don't trust they will actually end up matching.
It really is. Im not sure Ive ever seen a better deal. Ive watched CC SUB deals for about 15 years now.lol I just checked this a couple hours ago.
I am going to give it a couple weeks and see what happens. I am very much hoping my wife can refer me; 160K points for $95 feels like stealing. We only got 100K for her sign up; the plan was to do multiple cards but Chase shut that down before we could act on the second.
I think this information is scattered through this thread. Thanks for stating it so clearly and all in one place! This may already be noted in this thread (I haven’t had a chance to read it all), but I thought I’d add something I recently learned.
When you purchase direct, you can spread your deposit over 90 days. Your contract doesn’t close till the deposit is paid, so it closes 90 days out.
On Disney premier, the deposit earns 2% back and is eligible for 0% financing for 6 months, allowing your cash to earn interest before paying off the contract.
In Chase Sapphire Reserve, you get x3 Iltimate Rewards points.
If you *finance* your purchase, loan payments and interest accrual doesn’t begin till your contract closes. (I financed my recent purchase so I could sell a different contract to pay for it, and this was to big I’ve me wiggle room to sell the contract to pay it off. It was my first time financing.)
You can then pay off your Disney loan with a credit card (or multiple credit cards). You will earn 2% back with Disney Premier (but it doesn’t qualify for 0% for 6 months) or x3 Ultimate Rewards points with Chase Sapphire.
Did you ever do the referral and ask for the match? With the 40k referral and only 100K SUB it's still better than doing the 120k directly but to get the referral AND the match would be super sweetJust leaving this here
