Way Early Roll Call For March 4, 2006 Eastern.........

I'm so sorry, Qball - it should not be that difficult!! I don't think I'd be as patient as you.

We finally got our airfare - and I'm so excited. We got a great rate - $218 direct - but bad flying times. We get into Orlando at 11:15pm - 10:15 our time. It's Friday night, so we'll just sleep in a little bit before we head over to Cape Canaveral.

Has anyone stayed at the Hyatt at the airport? Trying to figure out the best way to get a good rate for that. Also, we don't leave until Sunday night, so where should we stay Saturday night after the cruise? I think we'll be exhausted, so I'm looking for a place that's inexpensive, but has a good pool. Any suggestions?

Happy Holidays! Kristin

Did any of my other fellow canadians book thru a TA?

So sorry to hear that you are having so much trouble! Hope things get better for you. We booked through Cruise Ship Centers and we didn't have any problems. Keep us posted.

QBALL, We also booked through a travel agent and the only problem that I ran into is when I called Disney cruise line they told me that I could go ahead and book on the 22nd and I said that I thought that it was on the 19th and she took a few minutes while I was on hold before she came back and told me that we could book everything on the 19th. The main reason I had called in the first place was that on the Disney cruise line web site it said our trip was booked and I wondered if that meant that they had received our payment in full and they said it was o.k. that we could go ahead and book our stuff on the 19th. We had paid in full several weeks before we needed to because I was worried that it may take it a while for the payment to be processed.I hope that all your problems are soon sorted out and can book the reservations you want. Happy Holidays, Shelley

*bump*
So on the 2nd nite of Chanukah we had my family over and after way too many gifts, my parents gave our kids Disney sweatshirts. In each of the boxes was the cruise DVD. They basically told them, hey, we are all going on a Disney cruise together! My 4 yr old DS did not get it but my 6 yr old DD started freaking out. They are both sooo excited and want to know why we can't go NOW! The cutest comment was when my DD exclaimed, after watching some of the footage on the DVD, "This is gonna be so awesome!"

LisaSp: Congrats!! Your kids must be so excited!! What a wonderful way to surprise them. My DD's love the DVD. Sometimes, they'd rather watch that than a movie. Now, whenever we see the boat on anything - at Costco, on a Disney video, anywhere - the girls start screaming "Been there! Been there!" It's a game. Funny how we entertain ourselves to keep the magic alive!!

Hi all. I'm back and FINALLY got to "retrieve" my reservation online (yesterday). We were able to book 4th day Palo reservation for two of us but were hoping to book for 3 of us. I guess DH and I will go on a date that night while "uncle" hangs out with DD. I also wanted to book a brunch or high tea for two, so that my brother could enjoy Palo as well, but we'll have to do that on board since those were all booked up.

Anyways, there was alot of talking back and forth between TA and DCL and me and DCL technical service. I just wasn't able to register on their site....long story, but in the end I had to register on a completely different site and download other things onto our computer to get things working...ahhh. BUt I'm glad I can finally book stuff online.

DD is registered. Now we have to decide which excursions, if any, we will go on.

Oh, it just turned midnight...happy new year everyone!

My family 2 DD and DH are going with grandparents and brothers family and brother's in-laws (13 total). For Chrismuka I had shirts made from the Disney store that have a picture and all of our family names. They were a huge hit!!
We can't wait!!!1

Welcome Princessesrule! And Qball, so glad things finally worked out - pixie dust that you'll get brunch or high tea.

Is anyone else getting more excited, now that the holidays are behind us? I think I'm just so busy getting ready for the holidays, that the cruise was an after thought... now, look out! Obsession time!

Thanks Kirstin for the pixie dust...hopefully everything will work out.

We're getting really excited now. When we booked back in October, we told DD that we'll be going on a holiday on the Disney boat after christmas. SHe talked about it a bit for the next two months but didn't seem all that excited.

Well to our surprise, I guess she remembered...she asked today how many days till the Disney boat and talked about it all day...since it IS after christmas.

two months to go....

Two months from today we fly down to Orlando--woo hoo! I can't believe it is this close now. My kids keep talking about "when we're on the cruise" and we are all getting VERY excited!

I've had to cancel our cruise. Many factors but it will work out for the best. Have tranfrered my resie to 3-3-07 but not sure will keep that. I'm strongly thinking about the 4day leaving 12-26-06. But that would be just me & girls dh very buzy that week. Best wishes 2 all

Wendy

I just made reservations at Palo on our first evening at 6:30pm. But I didn't think this through. Does anyone know what we do with our children while we're having dinner? Maybe I should cancel it. Oh! And the next time someone updates La List, my name is Meg and my husband is Rich.

MeRiVan, are the kid's club not open on that first night? could you leave them at the kid's club. I have heard people say that it is helpful to have them go to the kid's club the first night because that is often when the new little friendships are formed that will last all week. If not maybe once you get on board you would be able to change your reservation to another date. Shelley

Our friends did this cruise in November and they just told us the same thing. I didn't realize the kids club went that late. I think this will work out perfectly. We get our nice anniversary dinner out of the way and the kids have a blast. And we'll be done with dinner earlier than our regular late seating anyway. Anyone else going to Palo the first night?

No, we are not going the first night we are going on the Wednesday night and brunch on Thursday. I am looking forward to both. I am sure that my kid's would be just as happy to be in the kid's clubs the first night as they would having dinner with us.

We're booked at Palo on Tuesday night at 9pm. I dont' know if I can't stay up that late!!!!
Have any of you booked excursions yet? I've posted (a few times)on the main part of this boards for opinions on certain excursion and haven't got much responce. We were thinking of Atlantis submarine ride, Coral World and butterfly farm. Anyone hear anything about these?..I heard Coral world is good, but that's it.

I JUST called my husband to see if he wanted me to book that! I think I'll have my husband take DS6 on this and I'll hang out on the ship with DS3. I hope people talk about it. I have friends who've done this cruise but noone's done this excursion. I know that my son would flip over a submarine ride.

I've been looking for this thread, don't know how I missed it. We've been booked since our cruise last March. My name is Diane, dh is George, ds 7 is Devin and ds 3 is Sean. We're from Yardley, PA. My parents are also recruising with us. We had more family last year but they did not take to cruising, didn't like crowds and waiting for things. Anyone have ideas for beaches in st. Martin? We went to Orient last year, which was great but thought we should try something new. Also St. Thomas, we went to Megan's bay and were not that impressed, maybe something closer?

We are doing Coki Beach in St.Thomas and Orient on St.Marteen.

ANyone been to either?

We aren't doing any excursions except the stingray one on CC.

We are travelling with my sister, her husband and 15mo old , and most excursions would not have included him,....so we decided to just snorkel on our own at the beaches.
