Way Early Roll Call For March 4, 2006 Eastern.........

I posted this on the main boards as well. How sick do you have to be before DCL denies you onboard? DH has been sick over a month now...a cold. But he's been getting worse and is now coughing. Although, at this point, it's not that he hacking up a lung right now. Is there a possibility that we could not be allowed on teh boat? And will they refund our money?

Saturday, March 4th, at Mickey's Pool after lunch...
so what time do most of you eat lunch??? us noon.
So who's in and what does everyone "look" like?

I'll start...
I guess you could say the closest Disney character I look like IS "Mulan". DH has been told he looks like Rob Lowe (I don't think so) or sort of Patrick Muldoon or even Matt Damon...DD, I've been told, is a splitting image of me but with dark brown hair instead of black and of course my brother is coming with us and we apparently look like siblings and of course he has black hair as well. And don't forget the "canadian lizard legs" and my little belly! Looking forward to meeting everyone!

Qball if you have a chance to swim when you get to the Radisson, look for us too. I have shoulder length blond hair,DH has short black hair. But it will probably be easier to spot my 2 DS who both have new brush cuts so short that you can just about say they look bald. ( my husband thought he would help me get through my to-do list which included the boys hair being cut and he thought it was best if he just got the barber to shave their heads down to almost no hair- now I have hidden my to-do list because I think that I can do with out that kind of help because I was in panick today trying to find hats for the boys so their heads won't burn while we are away.) About your question regarding checking in on line you just go to the disney cruise line web site and click on "my check in " and follow the steps. You will need a credit card number if you plan to charge anything to your card, as well as passport numbers and flight numbers. It will then ask you to print one form that you and your husband will need to sign and bring with you to the port.It was a simple process except it would not let me input our flight information under that section because we are leaving several days before we cruise but it says the flight information is not mandatory.I hope your husband is feeling better- I work at a hospital and there is alot of pneumonia and very bad chest colds going around that are requiring antibiotics so you may want to make an appt for your husband soon so he will be feeling better before you have to leave. What I've seen about this from reading the main board is just that a doctor may check him out prior to boarding. If the doctor determines he is contagious, he could quarantine him.

I don't think this happens too much. In fact, I think showing signs of vomiting, fever, etc., is much worse than a cold. Goodness, can you imagine if they stopped everyone who had a cold???

Hey everyone,

If you haven't taken advantage on the online check-in don't miss it. You can go back into your reservation and complete most of the forms online and submit them right now. You will still have to print out the signature page for the cruise contract have that signed and bring that with you to the port, but ebverything else should be submitted.

You must do this though by March 1st at the latest!!!

See ya on the big ship :thumbsup2

We leave wed morning....and we are so NOT ready!

We have been away all weekend at a hockey tournament...and we all have so much to do before we leave. I have been up since 5am doing my projects that are due today, and tommorrow. Both my boys have huge projects due, and my husband has tons to do , he said he would see me on wed, and not before...lol

I find it so hard to even concentrate on school! Not to mention the new 5 loads of laundry from our 3 days away!!!

Anyway....just had to vent! I am sure everyone is swamped!

I guess to describe our family, I have blondish brown hair, 5"3, my husband is dark, and almost 6foot. My boys are 11 and 8, the older one is dark with glasses, the younger is blondish, and very loud! We are travelling with my sister, who I joke is a taller, skinnier, younger version of me! ANd her hubby, tall and brown hair, and baby boy, who is 15months, and loud too!!

If you think you can spot us , say hi!!!

We are on our way out the door to leave to go to Florida so I just wanted to say I hope that I get to meet some you next week and put some faces to the names. I will look for everyone by the pool after lunch and Susan I will look for you when we get om the shuttle to port. Hope everyone has a great trip. Shelley

I was just going over my reservation details and noticed something wonderful. They changed my dinner seating! We had been stuck with a late dinner and now we're listed as main dinner 6pm. HOORAY!

we have early seating, and I am glad, I can't imagine waiting until 8pm to eat!

we are in a bit of a panic right now...they are showing snow for NH for thursday, and our flights are thurs am.

as of now we have booked refundable fares for wed, and will use them if we have to. I really hope we don't have to.....

We just don't want to risk not getting out until sat or so. The flights are on southwest, and they always fly at capacity, so the chances of getting flights on friday are slim....(this is what I was told by the TA), so they advised buying refundable fares, and canceling if we can . They are refundable up to an 1hour before flight time.

Anyway...just another stress......LOL

Happy packing!!

We still have the late seating but I'm just telling ourselves that it will be ok since that is our normal supper time in our time zone...but then lunch will throw that off???

We had a blizzard last night and by this morning it stopped but suppose to start again this afternoon...it's lunch right now and I dont' see any snow. Forecast is saying it's suppose to "blow over" by thurday....maybe this is the snow you guys are going to get?? I'm a little worried too since DH is flying separate from us on Thursday. We meet up in Toronto the next day though. We have a crazy flight...Saskatoon, Calgary then Toronto with at least a 4 hour lay over in Calgary for both of us. DD and I have an over nigth in TO but DH has the red-eye. I'm worried that he'll get stuck in calgary and not be able to meet us in TO. We got a consent letter notorized last night for me to take DD over the border just in case DH misses his flight and hopefully can catch another and make it to teh boat. We do have one day leeway. Ahhh why do we worry about things that may not happen...cuz there's alot of money at stake!!!!

Sandi hopefully the weather will be good for you to drive and fly out. Here's hoping we both have good weather on our days of travel...as some say blowing you some pixie dust????!!!!

Did any of you register online beside el capitan? I was going to but started feeling reluctant about giving out our passport numbers over the internet.

I was concerned about the weather when I booked my tickets, so that is why I booked them a few days early. Not that it snows a lot in Texas :rotfl: but I didn't know if Northern weather would cause any delays. I am really using my Disney "MAGIC" and hopeing you all get off on time.
I checked in on line and found it very helpful. I didn't even think about giving out passport numbers over the internet. SOmetimes I am so oblivious! :confused3 I think it will be ok, because it is a secure website.
We fly out Thursday night, I can't wait!

I didn't register online--I wasn't sure what the advantage was, and with the DCL site having glitches every so often it made me nervous. Call me neurotic, it is OK. We are flying down Friday morning to Orlando and staying at an aiport hotel, then taking car service to the port. CAN'T WAIT!! I will begin big time packing tonite. At this point I just have little piles and lists everywhere!!

Yeah I have to agree i didn't see the advantage of registering early either since you still have to wait to get onboard and get your room keys.

Well this will probably be my last post. We're leaving tomorrow and will arrive in Orlando Friday. heere's hoping for good weather...it's been blizzarding here for the past two days.
