DD just had her 4th bday on Monday so I took Mon-Weds off. Boy was it nice. We went to one of local health clinics to get our shots (and get DDs 4-6 yr shots as well). She did pretty good. Anyone else here get shots? DD has been playing doctor ever since yesterday. All her "guys" who are coming on the cruise are getting shots as well...too cute!

Also cruise is now paid in full as of yesterday!!! Now just waiting to get my Disney registration number so we can register for stuff. We're thinking of booking Palo later on in the week to give ourselves some time to see if DD will enjoy being left in the kids' club while DH, I and my bro go to Palo's. If not, then DH and I will go for the dinner and hopefully I can book a lunch/brunch or high tea for brother and I to go as well.

Since joining these boards, I have gotten alot of great tips...so many that I'm feeling a little overwhelmed at the number of things I have to remember to bring, do , check off etc. By nature, i'm a very anal person, so probably why I'm a little overwhelmed. Anyone else a little stressed or am I the only nutty one here?

Actually Qball, Allcanadian (shelley) and I live around the corner from each other, but our kids go to different schools, so we don't really see each other.

Anyway, I too am a little nutty with all the info I have learned on the boards...I feel like I need to join DisBOards ANON, i am practically addicted to them!! Like right now, my youngest needs to go to bed and I am here!!

Is there a big difference between brunch and dinner?

I was thinking of only doing brunch....I would like to do all the family meals together.....

Is it easier to get a brunch reservation?

Hi! Just saw this question, and yes, there is a big difference between brunch and dinner. I think brunch is harder to get reservations - only because they only offer it on the "at sea" days. We didn't do it last year, but it's supposed to be outstanding. I've read about it on the boards, and thought, we have to do this!

We got our reservations all set. I got up at 2am and tried to make them last weekend - with no luck!! I was really frustrated. I had to call the Disney hotline once they opened the next morning. They had to switch something, to show that we were castaway members. Luckily, I got what we wanted, even doing it at 9am.

Brunch on Monday, and dinner on Thursday. I'm getting excited now!!!

Ok...maybe I'm doing something wrong but I can't seem to book anything online. I went on last night since the registration dates for me is Dec. 19th...well the server was busy...so I tried back today and can't even get to the registration box. Am I doing something wrong?

I apparently have my disney confirmation number...it asks for that and a birthday. Because I haven't registered on the disney cruise line website, I had to do that and it came back "sorry something wrong with your registration" but WHAT?

So do I phone now? Or am I on the wrong website? www.disneycruise.com and the phone number 1-800-951-3532???

Like the obsessive compulsive that I am, I woke up at 3 a.m. (Eastern time--they opened at midnite Pacific time) to do so! Have you paid your reservation in full? If so, try again--it should work...maybe exit and re-enter the site?

I tried at lunch and now this evening as well. I went to the website and then to cruise plans, typed in our reserv. # and my birthday and I had to put in a email address or name and a password and I can't get in. And yes we've paid in full on Dec. 6th.

Qball, don't be shy about calling that number. They were very helpful to us, and they fixed the problems we were having. They can't book it for you, but they can tell you if something's wrong with your info.

Our Palo brunch is at 10:30 also. My parents the avid cruisers (though never on DCL) are early risers and 10:30 is a weird time for them to eat. I am assuming my kids will be happy in the kids club at that time...anyway, it may end up just being me and DH if my parents decide to bail on brunch. I am not sure how to adjust that in the reservation without cancelling it completely, but I will cross that bridge when I come to it.

Thanks guys. I tried again (lunch break)...so I will have to make time to make the call. I'm SOOOO swamped at work and have SOOO much to do after work (to prepare for christmas) I wasn't looking forward to waiting on the phone for who knows how long...hopefully I or DH will make the call soon.

I know that Palo is the important reservation to book ahead of time...what about excursions? We're thinking of the Coral something or other thing and the butterfly farm. Oh yes, registering DD in the kids club. So much to do and so little time...I have lists coming out of my ears...I think after christmas I'm going to bring the suitcases out and put them in the spare bedroom and throw the things into them as I think of it rather than adding them the the gazillion lists I seem to have...ahhhh...only two more months.

I too got up in the middle of the night....I couldn't sleep all night...worrying I would miss the "window" of opportunity to book everything I wanted!

I couldn't get on, and it just wouldn't work...finally I went back to bed...totally panicked I had missed out on "everything"..haha


Anyway, I ended up being able to get on around 7am, and was able to book everything I wanted.

I booked a palo brunch for thursday, and a high tea for monday. I also did my sister's for her, and did the opposite, brunch on monday, high tea on thursday.....

Does anyone know what the high tea is???

I also booked the stingray excursion on CC. Has anyone done this? Worth the money?? It is the only one we are doing....I hope it is worth it.


I am soooo tired from not sleeping the other night.....what a waste of worry that was!!!

HI all!! I gotta vent! I'm SOOOOO miffed. I called DCL and apparently the reason I cannot get onto the site is that there is no information (except my name and my deposit)...they have not received full payment nor do they have our bdays or other travelling parties.

I called my travel agent and because they booked our cruise thru AirCanada Vacations, it is apparently AirCanada Vacations fault.

They can't call them until tomorrow due the time change as it is after office hours there now. I'm so mad...and they won't give me the number to reem them out. I paid in full for the 4 of us bakc on Dec. 6th and has already shown up on our credit card on the 7th.

According to DCL I can't book anything until AirCanada Vacations send them payment. Oh great!

As far as Palo goes....if you are early boarding the ship...they leave quite a few reservations open for people to book then....

Sandra, I also got up at 4am to book my reservations but I did not have any problems except it was very slow, probably alot of people on the site trying to book things. We were able to book palo for dinner and brunch as well as an excursion to Trunk Bay beach. I have not registered the kids yet because I was getting to tired at 4am so I will try to do that this week. Qball, I hope you are able to get everything worked out and are able to make the reservations you want. Shelley

Here's the update. The TA phoned AirCanada vacations who phoned DCL and apparently DCL is suppose to know that I'm paid in full. so I go onto the website, and can't even register with the website. I even tried different email addresses, check that my browers is updated and nothing. Phoned DCL myself and according to them, I am NOT paid in full! SO what with that?

My guess is that AirCanada vacations might forward their monies for ALL clients in one lump sum...say at the end of the month. So for whatever reason, the accounting departments aren't communicating with the technical departments of DCL???

Even DCL couldn't help me since I'm not paid in full....I just hope that my accounting theory is right and that I will be able to book after the end of the month before the 60 day out categories can book.

So frustrating. Did any of my other fellow canadians book thru a TA?
