Way Early I know but anyone going on Eastern May 1-8 2004?

OK, just to keep track...

Magic May 1st Cruisers on Their Way...

Heidi, Ryan, and kids
Tom, Julie, and kids

Everyone else is still here, right?

I'm trying to tackling this packing thing. (Jeff, I think it's time.) I may pull out all my hair before I reach that ship!

Allison, I think I may need another bottle of sauvignon blanc!

Jason, I'd go for the bottle of sauvignon blanc first, then you probably won't pull your hair out :drinking1

I'll be around til the very end -- leaving bright and early enough for it not to be bright on Sat.

I suppose I should start packing though. Funny thing is, Alyssa was going to help me start packing her suitcase last night and she fell asleep at 6pm (she hadn't slept much the night before... too excited).

Jeff

Ahhh... yes Jason a few of us are still around. JenL and I will be flying out Friday afternoon. We will be staying at the Mariot Suites near the airport that night. Be at the port bright and early Sat morning after a quick stop at the liquor store. :drinking1

Getting everything ready here. Charging the camera batteries, packing the blank tapes, clearing the SD memory for the digital camera etc

Well off to get the hair cut.

See you all very soon. :earsboy:

Okay Heidi was right. I was passed out on the couch and I did have a wine hangover. I did recover and I am all packed. We are leaving tomorrow AM around 9.

Jason- I hope you enjoyed the wine. I am going to stock up on a few bottles before the cruise. I'll try to check in on the disboard with whoever's left on Friday.

Now I am going to study as opposed to doing "homework". 'Can't wait to meet everyone!!!

Signing off for now,.......see you on board.

Allison
PS I never cleaned the 'frig.

Alright everyone,

Lindsey just scored 2 goals in her teams 8-0 win, Julie is giving the girls a bath and I have to go tan. We should be on the road by 8:30 est, I have 3 people calling me during the night to make sure we are still awake and on the road. I will try and make sure that we do not burn Ryan and Heidi out before you all get a chance to meet the famous couple.

If Julie sees me typing at the computer when I am suppose to be taking out the trash I will be in big trouble, so I had better go. Everyone have a great time and I am sure that I will be checking in when we arrive in florida.

Good luck to all.

Tom

Oh, sooooo true. I wonder what my clothes will look like when I unpack them on the ship... :teeth:

Allison--

The sauvignon blanc that I bought (and drank) was Giesen. Ever hear of it? At any rate, it's from the Marlborough region of New Zealand and it was pretty impressive. Ed, as in Ed's Fine Wines, liked the selection. (I told him I knew an impressive up-and-coming sommelier who recommended it. ;) )

They also had several other labels, including Cloudy Bay.

Joe--

Thanks for the reminders!

Rechargable batteries and charger... Check
Digital camera cards...... Check
Suitcases..... In progress!

Tom and Julie--

Only two hours to go! Have a safe trip, drink lots of coffee, and we'll see ya onboard the Disney Magic!

And, as I'm sure that all of you have read or heard by now, Comcrap has dropped their bid for the Walt Disney Company! Yay! Our beloved company will remain independent! Can you tell I was against the merger?! ::yes::

Good evening to those still around. Tonight is packing night, I think. I'm getting sleepy so maybe the several nights of not sleeping well are catching up and I can crash early tonight. It's raining here in Plano (that's a Dallas suburb for all of you not familiar with the area). I think a front has come in and messed up my head.

I just heard the timer for dinner so will check you guys later.
:cheer2: :thewave: 2 :thewave: :cheer2:

We're still here - heading out tomorrow around 4pm to take Kaitlyn to her soccer practice, then driving to the airport for our 7:30am Friday flight.

For those driving - please be careful :moped: To those flying here's to smooth flights with no delays.:happy2:

So who else will be at the POR meet? we're hoping to make it, but we'll have to see if I can drag the kids away from the HIFS pool.:cool1:

We'll see everyone else on Saturday at the pool (or maybe in line at the terminal)

Take Care,
Tammy

Reine--

I haven't really been sleeping the best these past few nights either. I think it's all of the cruise excitement! :hyper: I always sleep like a log on the ship though! It must be the gentle rocking that does it.

Tammy--

I'm sure we'll all start spotting one another as soon as we get to the terminal! It always seems to happen like that.

You too have a safe trip!

Well,..... I didn't study,..I did "homework" instead.
See y'all soon:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc
Love,.... Allison

And my pirate hubby cleaned the 'frig.!!!!!

Well, I'm NOT packed but I do have all the clothes laid out. Trying to decide on whether to pack all my stuff in one bag and all of DHs in another or to create "blended bags" so that if one gets lost we're not toast.

I'm being REALLY good and not overpacking. I decided that if I underpacked that would give me a great excuse to buy some stuff on the cruise or in port. "But honey, I don't have a THING to wear so I have to buy SOMETHING":rotfl: Right?

I'm going to bed so I'll have enough energy to get up tomorrow.

GO CLOCK GO :cheer2: GO CLOCK GO

Good Morning all!

Today's our big day.....you wouldn't know it though. I thought I was all ready and I am not!

We are leaving after work tonight and driving straight thru. We should be a DMIL's house by noon tomorrow. Then to sleep.

Unfortunately, since we live right smack dab in the middle of the most congested portion of I 95(NY to Washington, DC)we have to leave later than we wanted. Nothing is worse than getting stuck in Washington, DC traffic for like 3 hours when you are all phyched for vacation. So, we have to wait until Philly, Wilmington, Baltimore and DC's rush hours are over to leave.

I am sure I will check back 1 more time before we leave but everyone have a safe trip and see you all saturday.

Philly Jen

JenL and Joe- I will wave and honk in your general direction tonight.

Oh Philly Jen .... I know how bad that D.C. 95 traffic can be. It seems like every vacation we take we get stuck around D.C. and Joe does not handle traffic and congestion very well. After getting stuck in that traffic numerous times, we thought we had out-witted it. Joe and I had gone SCUBA diving in Morehead City, NC and waited until late at night to drive home (in an attempt to avoid D.C. traffic). Well, it was after midnight and we got stuck in the mother of all back-ups! Turns out that someone had gotten shot and there was a police investigation and 95 was closed. It was complete he11. Then we decided to get off 95 and ended up lost driving through D.C. :scared: So now we try to avoid D.C. like the plague.

Hey Reine, we are doing blended bags. There are 3 bags and 4 of us and we each have a little bit of something in each bag. Now i am just hoping everything will fit! I am so paranoid about our luggage getting lost! We went to Jamaica a few years ago and friends of ours lost 3 of their 4 pieces of luggage. Coincidentally 3 of the bags were "hers" and 1 of the bags was "his" and of course all of the lost ones were "hers." Ever since then i have been a bit paranoid about my luggage getting lost. :sad2:

And Allison, that is so wonderful that dh cleaned the fridge. That is my goal for today after taking Madalyn to pre-school. To clean the kitchen (including clean-out the fridge). We are getting a pizza tonight for dinner so we won't have to worry about dishes and leftovers. (and i won't have to cook ... yay!)

Well all, i feel like my to-do list is still a mile long ... but i am too excited to worry about it! Madalyn came skipping down the steps this morning "I am so excited for tomorrow." I think we all are!

:thewave: :thewave: :thewave:
To anyone leaving today ... have a safe trip!
JenLynn

Oh my gosh, I'm so jacked up I think I could get to Fl. on my own -no need for a plane! Five reports to finish at work wah, wah, wah. And then tonight we are off to the spa 5 pedicures (myself, 2 DDs, DDs friend, and my ex-husband), 3 manicures, 2 brow waxes, and 1 fill. Then off to a bon voyage dinner (I'm going to miss my baby I can't believe she's not coming with us - the little stink) Then home to wash the unmentionables (aka known as head ornaments for this group):teeth: And the limo will be here Friday at 8:00 AM:hyper:

All of you driving, especially overnight and straight thru, drive defensive you never know what the other clown is going to do.
I'm praying for everyone's safe arrival and look forward to meeting you.

SEE YOU ALL SATURDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Alice

Wow Alice, that's one big spa bill! My daughter (5) and I are going today as well. I will probably take her before school so she can show off her nails to her friends. She was a cronic biter(oooo that bugs me) and so is my husband. Well, around Christmas time, my husband got Invisilign(clear removable braces) and stopped biting. Well wouldn't you know it, Hannah stopped biting almost immediately as well. And he claims it wasn't him. Anyway, her "prize" for stopping the biting was a manicure and pedicure( they will probably just clip and paint) before the cruise.

I picked Kate up from preschool yesterday(it was her actual birthday) and the first thing she said to me was " Are we going on my cruise now?" So cute.

We will drive safely, we do this 2x a year( my MIL is in Satellite Bch 12 miles from Port Can.) We always leave with the intention of driving straight thru but we will be honest with ourselves and stop along the way if we have to. Thanks for the wishes.

See you all soon.
Philly Jen

Hi to everyone! Haven't written much but have been reading all the postings. Feel like I'm gettting to know you all pretty well, you guys are great! I can't believe it's here been planning this for such a long time. My gang, 3 rooms and 11 people are flying out saturday morning, praying we have no flight issues. Cutting it kinda of close:crazy: . Hircuts tanning and manicures today. Kids can't even concentrate at school. Can you believe I'm taking a senior in highschool out of school for a week in May right before she graduates? She's doing great, it'll work.

Where exactly are we meeting At 3:30 on saturday?

Hope you all have a great day!
:earsboy: Cathy K:earsboy:

Howdy to those of us that are left

I'm checking in from work and I have to get through the next 5 hours and i will be home free

Checked in on-line this morning and printed my boarding passes for our Airtran flight tomorrow. Got seats all in the same row, which works well for us. Not sure how I'm going to do this on our way home??

Philly Jen - we'll be in your area tonight at Phoenixville for soccer practice before heading to the airport. Can't miss soccer  Have a safe trip and I hope you can avoid most of the DC traffic:moped: I know how bad it can get.

This will be my last post, but will check in if I have time. Safe travels everyone. Counting the minutes til we can meet.::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

travelin'mouse We're meeting at the goofy pool at 3:30 before the lifeboat drill. Check out Three Circles website for more info. There's a link on any of the Three Circles posts. Jason has done a great job of creating a Dismeet website! You can see lots of pictures of the group and check out the info about the meet.

Everyone have a safe trip. I'm with Alice, watch for those OTHER idiots. I know the idiots in OUR group will drive safely and soberly despite their love of the sauce.

Oops...late to get off to work...did we say this thing is addictive?

Hi everyone (thats still here)!
Just a quick check-in.. Feeling much better.. definetly on the road to recovery and hoping by tomorrow at 3:20 p.m., I'll be 100%!!
Unfortunately I didn't get to tan like I hoped; I've been on antibiotics and they say the color might come out funky! so I tried the self tanning lotion by Banana boat.. works ok.
Did manage to paint my toenails and fingernails MYSELF (lucky those who had someone else do it!!).. lol!!
Happy trails to everyone!! Be safe! Can't wait to meet everyone on Saturday!!

:wave2:

Tracey

Good morning all!

I too am in the process of finishing up the last minute, pre-cruise details. Travis dropped off the ties and dress shirts at the dry cleaners yesterday afternoon and then we sat down and packed two of the three suit cases we'll be taking. All we have left to pack is one smaller one and the garment bag both of which shouldn't be too difficult.

Now, I still need to clean out our fridge (I can't be the only one who doesn't do this, you know! :) ), pick up the dry cleaning, finish packing, and get a trim at Great Clips. I still think we're ahead of schedule compared to our previous trips!

Renie--

We mixed and matched too. When I started packing I had all of our shorts and pants in one suitcase and all of our shirts in another. The thought of lost luggage ran through my head and I re-arranged the pants and shirts more evenly!

Philly Jen--

I can only imagine the rush hour traffic in and around the D.C. area! Yugh! Tampa Bay is probably much smaller (at about 2.5 million people) and I can't stand the traffic around here! Of course we always have a lot of tourists too, so that makes it more difficult at times. But, just think, in less than two days we won't have to think about driving at all!

You guys have a safe trip driving down and we'll see ya onboard!

Travelin' Mouse--

Hello Cathy K!

Glad to see you stop in! The site that Renie so kindly plugged (Thanks Renie!!!) can be found at ThreeCircles.net. Here's sending positive thoughts that all in your party will have smooth, easy flights. Especially those flying out Saturday morning.

Tammy--

Soccermom2? New handle, Tammy? I like it! :) Have a safe trip down and here's hoping you all miss the worst of the traffic! We'll see ya onboard!
