Just eyebrows for me. Had it done yesterday in fact. I have tried it myself with mixed results and now I usually just get it done at the salon. I can't imagine waxing my legs because I would look like a neanderthal waiting for the hair to be long enough although I bet it's really nice not to be shaving all the time.

The name reeeoga is a misspelling of Ryoga, a character from Ranma 1/2. So the sex mixup is even more amusing to me.

Would you mind if I ask you a simple question? Are you embarrassed to do this? I would like to have this done before my trip to the Poly in July and I wonder how do you go about this. Who do you call for such a thing? I always been embarrassed by my back hair and like to have this done. I don't want to feel like an idiot walking into a salon with a bunch of women getting their hair done and announce "I'm here for my 4:30 waxing".

I'm also curious about the pain level as well. Is the skin tender for a while? Also how long does this treatment last? I hate to do this on a regular basis and I tend to think of myself as a low maintenance guy.

No, I am not embarrassed by this. In DC, many salons offer waxing services to men and there are a few places that are exclusively for men. I assume that this would be the case in any large city. In DC, there is one salon, The Grooming Lounge, that is exclusively for men and offers waxing, shaves, pedicures, manicures, massage, and facials. I sometimes see Secret Service agents posted outside of the door, presumably because some government VIP is getting a treatment.

The waxing did not hurt, except when the hair at the nape of the neck was pulled. That smarted. The woman doing the waxing, however, told me that she has had male clients cry, scream, bite holes in towels, and walk out mid-session, so clearly there are various opinions on the pain. Frankly anyone who does that is a total wimp.

My skin is very sensitive and while it was not tender per se, I did break out in lots of little bumps that lasted for a week. I bought a bikini wax ointment (yes, from the women's aisle at the drugstore) and that helped to clear up my skin. The wax job lasted about six weeks.

I felt great taking off my shirt at the Boardwalk Inn pool and Typhoon Lagoon. I intend to get my back waxed again before both my trips to WDW this year.

Anyone who says that waxing doesn't hurt either has a very high pain tolerance or is lying. I had my legs and armpits done ONCE and I had to walk around with my arms held up for two days!!!!!

I would say that a good waxing tech has seen pretty much everything, and realize that people come in different sizes and shapes. I would ask friends and maybe your stylist.

My friend was thinking of adding body waxing to her list of candos at work. We watched the educational video and she changed her mind. The video was for Brazillian waxing. It was definetly TMI!

I wax my brows and upper lip, the bugger of the deal is that as age creeps up, the chin will require waxing too.
