We booked Wave at the last minute -- almost literally -- and it was terrific.

We were at the WL a couple of weeks ago and decided that we wanted to have a nice dinner one night, but I had not made an ADR anywhere for that night. I called reservations and they had a table available in 10 minutes at Wave. We hopped in a cab and rushed over. It was without a doubt the best meal we had all week.

I highly recommend this overlooked gem.

We agree with you. It is a pretty restaurant and the food was very good and nicely presented. The wait staff was among the best we've encountered.

So hoping more people find this gem in The Contemporary so it keeps going!

They have an outstanding breakfast for sure. We were unimpressed with the lunch experience we had - chicken salad that had dark meat chicken???!? Didn't see that coming. The waitstaff is outstanding - the coffee is the best on property. Definitely a hidden gem.

had dinner there last September...just booked it for our last night for our May trip.

Love the steak there, and the desserts...yummy!

Wow, glad you enjoyed it. We also had a dinner at Wave and it's really wonderful, foods are great.:thumbsup2 Can't wait to go back again.

Have a nice day everyone. :)

since it is such a new restaurant, its good to hear some think its a "gem"

I appreciate their concept - but am holding out wondering what the quality is!

I am very excited for this restaurant!!!!! I love more fusion feel to it as well as the menu being more organic.

The organic beer flight is already on my list of must drink and the lamb lettuce wraps on my list of must eat.

Hold out no longer - quality is top notch and service is great. I think some people are scared off by the concept, but the food is actually pretty tame and very well done. Like I said above, we LOVE breakfast there - I think we went three times on our last trip alone. I am looking forward to trying their dinner.

I am so excited to hear you say this, I cancelled Kona dinner for the Wave for our trip next week...cannot wait to try it for myself, those desserts are calling my name :thumbsup2

We had lunch at the Wave in December and the food was very good, nut the service was even better! My DD is picky about her French fries. They have to be the thin ones not the thicker ones. The restaurant had the thicker ones and when I waitress asked DD about the fries she said she didn't like them. The waitress actually went upstairs to another restaurant and got her an order of skinny fries! She was so nice and I wish I could have remembered her name but it is not coming to me... Could have been Judy or Jody? The manager even came out to see how our meal was and told us that Mickey and Minnie would be out in the lobby then as well! Anyway, i do feel this restaurant is really overlooked as a great place to dine. They had awesome coffee and desserts as well. The menu for lunch was not extensive and neither was the kids menu, but was prepared well and in a healthy manor. The kids chicken strips were delicious chicken tenders lightly breaded and fried and came with fresh fruit. DH and I shared the sea bass which was very fresh and came with an veggie and soybean topping. They also had a great list of cocktails but we did not get one. I reccomend trying this restaurant for yourself, with friends or with the whole family:)

Thanks for the review. I have been out of the loop since my last trip and truthfully hadn't heard about this restaurant. So, I'm glad you told me.

I'd love to hear (read) more details about the food. What did everyone eat? What can you recommend?

We agree, it was the best meal we have had in Disney so far. We are headed back for dinner in May!

Thanks to the positive reviews, I plan on trying the Wave in June. I was wracking my brains, trying to come up with a restuarant in or near the MK which I haven't tried. This sounds perfect! Plus I realized I can walk to it from MK. Even better! :cool1:

We ate at the Wave last week. It was a good, but not outstanding, meal and the service was good, but the restaurant did not really wow me. I thought the restaurant was very loud (just like Cal Grill; what is it about those places at the Contemporary?). That being said, it certainly will go on my list of places I will try again in the future (although probably not on every trip to WDW).

I'm glad to hear it. I was thinking about trying this for our next trip, but I wasn't sold on it yet. I miss the Concourse Steakhouse!

Spicy Chicken salad (wasn't that spicy- very yummy)

Grilled Chicken sandwich- husband said it was good

vanilla and chocolate milkshakes- VERY GOOD!

We ate lunch here in December and it was great. It's not like there is amazing theming or anything, but it was a nice quiet escape from the park, it was easy to get to, the service was good, the food was good and they had wonderful milkshakes!
