Waterproof cell phone case

We usually bring a ziploc bag for phone protection for rides that involve water. I am interested if anyone knows of some type of case that is a better water barrier, what you have used in the past. I am going to look at some travel product sites to see what is offered there. TIA

Do yourself a favor and buy two cases.

For $15 each, it'll be money well spent.

There are a number of maufacturers that make essentailly the same type of case. I have one made by Samsonite that I got at a Samsonite outlet store for I think $5 - and it works great. If you don't want to order one and pay shipping, try a camping supply store or a large sporting gooods store (like Dick's) with a big camping/outdoors section.

Last year I was really surprised to find a waterproof case at my local dollar store. It has two zip lock type closers and folds over and snaps closed as well. It also has a rope to hang it around your neck. I'm trying to find another one but have not been successful yet.

I bought these Aqua Pacs last year for our trip to Kauai -- they worked GREAT! Swam in the ocean with my camera and cell phone! I will be using them at DW in June, too!

I just use zip lock bags. Can't beat the price / performance ratio lol. Although, this year my phone is a lil more expensive than previous years, might use TWO bags just to be sure!

I'm a zip-locker too. I usually have a couple in the backpack, for phone camera, wallet and kleenex. I have been royally soaked on several occasions, and have never had a problem.

The ones we have might be auqapacks too... looked like it but different colors. Go to your local kayaking/camping/outdoors shop and they will have options. That way you can tell which size you need. When you spend hundreds on a phone, why try to save a few bucks with a ziploc bag? And remember, the price of those phones are discounted because you are on a long term contract. Don't forget your camera too - wouldn't want that damaged!

I just found a package of three waterproof pouches in the camping department at Wal-Mart (Canadian store). They are made by Coleman and include one large (10.5 X 13.5) medium (7 X 10) and small (5 X 7). They were less than $5 for the three.
