Waterparks - what can we carry in with us?

We will be driving to WDW and will probably drive to Blizzard Beach (I read driving was easier than the bus for water parkvisits). I read that using the car allowed you to 'haul' more stuff.
What are we allowed to bring into the water parks? I remember hearing or reading something about 'no glass items'. I had originally planned on just bringing beach towels. Are we allowed to bring other things, like the kids floats, etc.? Snacks?
Is it possible to bring in a cooler? I had not thought of this until now, but if this is 'allowable', then it would be so much easier to make a whole day at the water parks. Likewise, I don't want to show up with flotation devices, goggles, and a filled ice-chest, only to be turned away at the gate.
This is our first trip, so have tons of questions. If it is NOT considered 'proper' to brings food, etc., then please let us know now so we look like veteran DISers instead of looking like the rookies we truly are!

You are allowed to bring in coolers and food, but you're correct in thinking you cannot bring any glass (see, you're not such a rookie!).

I believe official policy is that you cannot bring your own flotation devises. Unless this has changed and I am not aware of it, you may want to save those things for the resort pool.

Enjoy! The water parks are a blast!

the previous poster is correct: you can bring in your own cooler with food & drinks; just no glass items....as far as the other: we have always taken in our own goggles, arm-floaties', and life vest when dd was really little without any problems at all....I'm not sure of the "official" policy on this though....The water parks do have life vest and floatation devices that you can get if you need them...can't remember if it was rental or free; sorry.....they even have towels for rent if you really didn't want to bring them yourselves.....no matter what you bring, just remember that it whatever you bring will be sitting there all day and you never know about others; we try to limit what we bring into the water parks to what we can fit into the lockers you can rent....otherwise, you either have to leave it unattended or someone has to stay with it at all times....

We didn't take food in, but we did bring a few drinks. The girls were allowed to use their goggles, but once, a CM told them not to on a raft ride. We brought our own towels, got there at opening and secured a great umbrella with two lounges on the "beach". We left our belongings as we had fun in the park- nothing happened. Call me an innocent, but really, who would want our t-shirts and towels? My girls' sand toys were even still there.

* I bought one of those necklaces with the water-proof box on it from a stand right inside the entrance for about $5. I kept all our money/passes in there and I was allowed on every attraction with it on. Worked great!

Have extra fun for me!:earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsgirl:
