It really is about pain threshold. I completely disagree with most of the posts here, and I'm not trying to be a "tough guy", I just don't find it really all that painful. Summit Plummit is just like any other large drop water slide. You may catch a little "air" just as you first drop off, but it's minimal. Sure, you feel a sensation on your back as you're sliding down, but I wouldn't call it painful in the least. Remember, you're going down a slide awful fast, pretty much no way you're not going to have any sensations, but I wouldn't say it hurts. Wedgie? Yeah, somewhat, but it's often greatly exaggerated. The way people tell it you'd think the bathing suit came out your mouth. It's not THAT bad. Humunga Kowabunga is the same way, but a bit less intense in my opinion.
Crush n Gusher is no pain whatsoever. You're on an inner tube, and unless you fall off of it the water jets really don't hit you...only spray bouncing off the tube. If that ride is painful to you, you may want to stick to the lazy river. Frankly, I think you're more likely to get bumps and bruises on some of the smaller tube, body or mat slides. I have fallen off a tube (can't say I didn't contribute to that) and banged an elbow or something. Not crippling pain, but I felt it. Those twisty slides throw you around a good bit, but that's part of the fun.
There are only two places I can say that I consciously think of being careful when riding them. Slush Gusher in BB. That one has 3 individual drops and with each successive drop you're going faster. The bigger you are, the faster you're going. So my kids, at 100lbs, think it's the best thing ever. Me, at 175lbs, I catch some air over the last hump. The landing can be painful if you aren't completely in the right position. But I still find it really fun. My wife (I won't divulge her weight

except to say she's significantly lighter) says the same thing. The other place that can be painful is the wave pool at TL. It's seriously powerful. You could get kicked, hit, trampled by someone else riding a wave. Or, more likely, you could scrape a knee, foot, toe on the rough concrete floor. My kids love it when I throw them into the wave. It's fun for them, but it leaves me really vulnerable. A few weeks ago, I hit my knee pretty good, leaving a nice scrape and a bruise. The scrape is still healing, but it was worth it.
OP, no worries. Unless you intentionally do something you shouldn't, you won't walk out like this...
