Does anyone know if they still have the special where you can use the watercraft and bikes for the length of your stay for one price? If so, how much is it? Is it possible to use different marinas? Has anyone used this and found it worth the money?

Years ago they offered the "Food AND Fun Card". Then the next year it changed to a "Food card" OR a "Fun Card", purchased separately. Then they did away with these "cards" and started the Gold Plan and Silver Plan.

These are plans added to your package prices and you are awarded "wishes" that you can use towards food and/or fun. If you use your wishes wisely, you can come out ahead with these plans. Use the wishes for the more up-scale dining options or for the La Nouba tickets, or for renting watercraft and they are worth the added price. I believe the silver plans is about $40.00 per person per day and the gold plan runs about $65.00 per person per day. You must purchase the plan for every day of your package plan.

This was covered in the WL thread. It used to be $199 for 5 guests, length of stay-weekly rate, whatever that means. It was discontinued for some time but has now been reinstituted but at a rate of $239 for four guests.

I'm not sure about it being transferable among the marinas. I would call 1-407-wdw-play and see what they say.

Good luck.

I think the plan was only stoped for a short time this spring..supposedly while new boats arrived? We were at the Polynesian about a month ago and it hadn't started again but the CM there said it would before summer.

You can't transfer the plan between resorts. For the Polynesian and GF, you had to be a guest of that resort to sign up for the plan. That apparently wasn't so at the other marinas.

We used the plan at both the Polynesian and GF in the last couple of years and found it to be well worth the money for us.

Although I've read of people being quoted the new price for the plan, I didn't know it had actually started again.

One other change is that to rent the water mice whether on the plan or not, you have to be 16 with adriver's license. It used to be 12.

The current plan is for 10 days (not 7 like last year, not LOS like the year before that) for $255 (not $199) and is good for up to 5 people.

This CM was on Crescent Lake (Y&B / BW). When I asked him about minimum requirements for driver's on the water mice, he said that they hadn't changed. I asked, since I had read about the accident at Bay Lake (CR / WL / GF / PL). He said he had heard about the likely change for Bay Lake to a minimum of 16 years and/or driver license, but he wasn't sure. Suggested calling that marina directly, which I have not done.

To reinforce prior poster's point, you should probably call the marina where you want to have your plan and ask all your questions. If you start with the number she provided, you can make you way through phone triage to the marina CM you are looking for....

I wonder if every resort has it's own spin. We did have LOS last year at the GF. This was in Dec. 02-Jan.03.

You might just want to check out your resort when you get there rather than call and be told one thing and get there and find that it has changed again and be disappointed.:D
