Has anyone used the disposable cameras they make that you can use in the water?
I am wondering about taking them to blizzard beach-if I get one for my son (12) he would have a blast with it-loves to take pics..but I am assuming that he would not be able to take it on the slides themselves? What about on the family raft ride? I can't see it being a problem on the lazy river or in the big pool.

I'm interested to know the answer. I'm going to Typhoon Lagoon and was hoping to take it on the slides with me. :)

Don't get the Kodak ones...The fuji ones are great...We used them in the Shark tank at TL and on the lazy river at BB and the pics are great and bright...

We even used them on slides and saved a few shots for Splash Mountain.:earseek:

My kids all used one last trip and I was surprised at how good the quality was. I know they had it in the wave pool, family raft ride, and a few others but I am not sure whether they took them down the slides at all.

I always take a waterproof disposeable camera to the waterparks- you can take them on just about anything. Get a camera w/a rubber wristband (most of them have these) and just put it around your wrist. I've taken some great pics on the family raft ride.

I don't think you can take a camera on the really tall/fast slides like Humunga Cowabunga or the really tall one at BB. I have taken it on all the other slides/tube rides and in Shark Reef. Also, at BB you can NOT take a camera on the Ski Lift- they don't want you carrying any loose articles on it that could be dropped. But you can just put it in the pocket of swimtrunks, though. So, maybe have one person in your party wear a bathing suit w/a pocket. -Stephanie

Ummm.....why? I have 3 of them already! :)

We had bad luck with the blue Kodak ones...the lense fogged up after a day. So, if you're planning on using up all the pictures in a day, no problem, but we were trying to spread out one camera over 2 days at the water parks, and day 2's pictures were all foggy.

I don't know the cause of the problem...water, air condition, FL heat, but there was nothing we could do to fix it.

The Fuji cameras worked much better the next time we went.

We also had no problems at all taking our disposable camera on the attractions at BB and TL...even the "ski lift." The rubber wrist bans are great, to ensure you don't lose the camera.

I take them on everything. Slides (I don't do the huge ones), family raft ride, shark reef (best early in morning while sediment is not stirred up and not crowded), wave pool, and I always have it on me on the skylift. We use if often due to bad knees in the family. No one has ever told me no. I have the rubber band around my wrist. Some of my best pictures - with everyone having a grand time !

I've only used Fuji so can't help there, and my pictures are always great ! (also used them to snorkel in ocean - as long as sun is out great pictures too)

I used the Fuji one at the shark reef and they did not come out. I took it on all the water slides and wave pool all those came out great.

I have always used the Kodak cameras and my pictures turned out great (sometimes these cameras are even several trips old). I do recommend buying one before you leave since they are very expensive at the parks.

The blue Kodak was fantastic for us on our last trip! I was very surprised at the quality of the pictures, much better than I expected, but my ds kept looking at the back for the preview after each shot. (we are usually all digital these days, it was a little hard going back to a 35mm!)
DO buy these before you leave home, they are $19.99 at the resort gift shops, for I think 23 exposures - OUCH!:earseek:

Ours got fogged up very fast and I wasn't sure why but I read through the instuctions and it said to keep sunscreen away. So I just wanted to let everyone know to be careful of this.
