Water

We bring Brita bottles. Fill them up every night and stick them in the fridge in the room. Nice and cold all day :)

Yes, the water from the water fountains is awful. I would rather spent the money since I am already spending so much already anyhow, and buy the bottled water. But then, there are just two of us. I would think for large families this would get expensive.

Yes you are correct. The water tastes awful
But, you are half right on the other. You can get free cups of ICE WATER, not just ICE. This water is filtered, through the coke machine, so doesn't taste like FL tap water
You are also correct in that the filtered water bottles make the tap water drinkable.

Yep, you can get ice water for free at all CS restaurants. It tastes better than Florida tap water (and the water from drinking fountains) because it's filtered.

I bring a refillable water bottle to the parks and just pour my free cups of ice water into my bottle (it's easier if you have a "wide mouth" water bottle so you can pour both the water and ice into your bottle). I like carrying around my ice water in my refillable bottle (rather than in the disposable cups they give to you) -- that way, I can put the bottle in my backpack when going on a ride or attraction that won't let you bring your drink on.

Here this week. They *do* give you free water, but only in smaller cups at most places. You end up having to ask for 2 or 3 to fill an adult-size water bottle. It's a bit annoying. What we just ended up doing is filling up at the condo. It's tap water, and not nearly as palatable as what we have at home, but it works. As others have suggested, using flavor packets is a good idea. For some reason, I recalled there being more open taps around where you could get water, but that doesn't seem to be the case. At most places, you have to ask for it.

You can ask for large cups of water. They have the smalls cups ready but if you ask for a large cup they will give it to you no problem.

Water does taste full of clorine for us europeans. Doesnt bother when drinking just water. But using tap water to make coffee is just disgusting. This is why we use bottled water for our in room coffee machine.

I was looking at the brita filter water bottle....they have a soft sided one and a hard sided one......can you bring the hard sided one in the parks

I was thinking of bringing a couple of bottles of water in our backpack but wrapped in aluminum foil. Do you feel that would keep them colder for a bit longer?

I have a question about water bottles. Can you bring them in the parks. I heard that they give free water in the parks is that true

Yes you can bring water bottles into the parks, (as well as food) just no glass containers.

You can get FREE cups of ice water at the counter service and snack locations that serve fountain drinks.

The problem that I find with Disney World water is that it tastes absolutely disgusting. You can get a cup of ice for free, but then you have to fill it at a water fountain and it's just plain yucky. I've heard that Brita filter water bottles help with that, though.

??? They put water in those cups of ice as well, so you don't HAVE To fill it at a water fountain but you can definitely refill it if you want.

I never noticed it taste different. I live in Pennsylvania.

I find the ice water given at CS tastes fine (filtered). The water fountains are warm and not good tasting

But a Grey Goose Slushie beats em all

What we did was bring in a refillable filtered water bottle with us. We would ask for multiple free waters to refill the bottle with or if we were in a rut we would get the fountain water...but since it was a filtered bottle the water lost that intense taste.
