Water shoes on the water slides?

We will be on the Adventure OTS very soon and I read somewhere that the deck/steps can get hot on the way to the top of the water slide.

Are water shoes allowed? And if yes, would Keens be allowed? I was planning to bring those as an all-in-one shoe to cover excursions and rocky beaches.

No shoes no glasses. My kids just left their shoes at the bottom of the slide .
