Does everyone take water shoes ,especially for the kids? We are doing the Stingray City snorkel so I am thinking they would be good for that. Also on CC maybe. Any input is appreciated!

the water shoes will be great to keep the feet from burning on the hot sand or hot pavement. we use them every time we go. i always hated the hot foot sand run. i hope this helps

The Capt. Marvin tour at Sting Ray City asks that no-one wear shoes (of any kind)while in the water. But for the walk to and from the ship, they would be great.

DH stepped on a sea urchin at CC in April. The one time he didn't wear water shoes. He was still picking out prickers a week later.
I would recommend them, for sure.

Just my $.02

I heard children would need swim shoes for CC and Blizzard Beach (rocky childrens area at BB). Thanks Tikigirl, for letting us know it's not just the hot sand that makes the swim shoes useful on CC.

We take them..all though the children are young adults..we wouldn't do without them. So easy..not to have to carry extra shoes, just walk in the swim shoes..the black top is hot. They are definately needed on the adult beach.

Great prices on them now..clearance at Kmart and Target.
