Water Remediation advice?

Yeah, my son and daughter in law switched last year and like it. The estimate I got was when I replaced my electric water heater was twice the price, and I suspect the water heater I bought will out last me.

We had 2 tanks and we were worried about the other one failing too. It was old as well. Now we have some extra attic space. Tankless units don’t take up a lot of room.

My son's is just hanging on the side of his house, on the outside.

We always shut off the water when on vacation. Had a friend, went away, water line from fridge leaked.

We've been here 45 years, now I'm worried.

Well, new plan, never remodel, leave house to kids. We gave them life, now we can give them headaches.

He lives in Los Angeles, so no. Their house had been added onto decades ago, so not sure where it was when the house was built. The old tanked water heater was in one of those enclosures you buy at home depot. They took it out since apparently the tankless unit they have is weather proof.
