What is the water policy at the Counter Servivce places? Do you need to pay for a cup of water? Do they serve it to you in a dixie cup or regular sized?

Thanks for any info,

I got us two waters at Kringa Bakeri and Norway and they were served in the regular Disney soda cups. I had planned on us being able to get water serveral places this way, but once we were at WDW, I realized how long the lines were for most places most of the day and it just wasn't worth 15 minutes-plus for water. If you hit the places at really off times, it's well worth it!

Water is free at the counter service places. I often order water because the only non caffiene soft drink I have available is regular Sprite and that gets old after about a day.

I was going over the budget for the upcoming trip. The thing that really jumped out at me is that it will cost about $10.00 for drinks each time we eat.(family of four at $2.09 per drink)

6 days x 3 meals a day x $10 for drinks is, holy crap, $180. And that is not counting the drinks as we snack.

I should never do things like this. Ignorance is bliss?

You can also bring from home some Crystal Light/Wylers packets, or Hawaiian Punch or Kool Aid if you don't mind the sugar. I get mine at Dollar Tree 8/box. This is a nice change if you get tired of water.

The Wylers Cool Raspberry is really good.

Thank you so much for asking this!! I've been very curious about this myself. I know I'm saving so much $$$ this semester since I realized I can buy a 5 cent cup at schools and refill it all day long (I could even bring my own bottle and fill it, but I feel too stingy to do that) I can even get the jumbo size! Man all that money wasted on buying at least 2 waters a day at 1.25 a piece. Water should be free!! (or at least inexpensive!)

In August I waited on line at Columbia Harbour House for some ice water to bring to my family who was camped out waiting for Spectro. Anyway, when I got up to the registers, the cashier said, "You poor thing. You waited in this line for water? Just go right up to the counter, you don't need to wait in line." Anyone know if this is true everywhere?

Last December, most of our CS meals included a BOTTLE of water. Are they not allowing the bottles under the food plan anymore?

The kids and I always got a bottle of water so we could carry them out afterwards for later.

Yes.

In each park, I just walked up to the corner of the place where you pick up the food and asked for a glass of ice water. They were always so nice about it with no eye rolling or anything.

My mom was the Queen of filling my kids backpacks with water bottles after every meal. But that water was so warm, who would want it. And after a couple of hours, who wants two to four water bottles to carry around. Everytime, we left a meal, I would take my kids to the bathroom and dump the bottles. Then when she went asking for them, "Oh mom I drank those awhile ago."

Yes I lie to my mother. I know, I'm going to H-E-you know the rest.
