My son would love to bring squirt guns and a snorkeling mask with him to the water parks...is this allowed?

We asked a lifeguard at TL if swimming goggles were ok and he said my son could wear the goggles, but they didn't allow masks. My son wore the goggles all day. Only problem, we had to go back to our "camp" to leave the goggles because they don't allow them on slides. But they were perfect for the lazy river.

I really doubt that they will let a squirt gun into the water park, but you never know.

ok what about the pool at the resorts? we are staying at Pop Century...??

We stayed at Pop in April. We brought along blow up innertubes and beach balls, goggles, small float boards, etc... The lifeguards never had a problem with any of them. As a matter of fact in the bowling pin pool (near the 50's area where we stayed) they seemed to have quite a few blow up beach balls, etc. for the general public to use. Take a look at the beach balls, some of them had funny messages written on them by CM's.

We are a very pro-gun family and my son has numerous toy guns, squirt guns, etc... However, because there are a lot of anti-gun people out there I would probably be hesitant to bring a squirt gun. I think it shouldn't be such a big deal, but it's my vacation and I don't want to have to deal with unpleasant and rude people that might want to make some comment about it.

When I'm on vacation I usually do what I want anyway (within reason). I figure unless a sign is posted warning me not to do something or a CM tells me it's now allowed that I do what I want. Isn't that what vacation is for??!! I have far too many rules and direction to follow everyday I want to just have fun at WDW!!

snorkeling masks that cover the nose are a no. That was one of the rules I was directly told when i was training to be a lifeguard at Blizzard Beach.
As for the water guns, I really do not know. I have never had that issue really come up when I was there. The only ones that I've when while I was working were little tiny ones that a few lifeguards had to squirt each other.
