Taking my DNephew(12) in July. We will have plenty of time to visit the water parks. However what do people who wear glasses do @ the water parks?
I cant see a thing without them? :cool1:
Normally on dry rides I wear a band around the back, or place them in a waist pack or duffel bag.

I used to just not wear them...I can see things, w/o them on, but I can't see faces of people unless i'm standing somewhat close to them. Now I just wear a pair of prescription sunglasses at the waterpark. I have two pairs one was a cheapy pair and the other is more expensive. I wear the cheapy pair to the water park and I'm good to go. If I'm in the wave pool I don't wear them, but other than that I have never had any problems on the rides or lazy rivers. I also don't use a strap with them...I just don't like straps.

If you wear your glasses, make sure you have the sports strap that holds them on. My DH lost a pair of glasses in the lazy river when I dunked his inner tube and they where washed away in the current and crowd... :rotfl: :rotfl: I would not wear any glasses in the wave pools.....

Are contacts an option? I wear glasses almost exclusively, but for waterparks, and amusement parks, I make sure to have my contacts. Really, if you know your prescription you can just order one box for your trip!

When my daughter and I use to go to the water park I wore my prescription sunglasses in the water.

If you plan on going down the water slides, then rent a locker and put them in there before you go on the slides!

Too funny, because the same thing happened to me back in 1997. I had two pairs, one regular and one sunglass. I was wearing the sunglasses and thought that it would be safer to place them in the outside pocket of my trunks while in the lazy river and when I got out they where missing.

Good news though! I went to the front and reported them lost and gave a description. I checked back before we left WDw and they had not been found, so I gave up hope, hoewever about three weeks after returning home they arrived in the mail.

I learned from then on to make a report of anything that may be lost because chances are they will find it. Case in point, I lost a WDW ballcap in Epcot this past December and when I checked at the end of the day it had been turned in and I got that back as well.
