Water parks with a cast?

Hello! Does anyone have any experience of going to the Water Parks with a cast?

A little background - My friend is visiting Orlando and her son has a water proof cast and they are in a rental house with a water type park in their complex and they weren't allowed in due to his cast.

She already bought tickets for will call tomorrow for one park day with Water Parks added on and was going to go one of the water parks tomorrow and us afraid they might not let them in.

We aren't getting a definitive answer from Disney so I appreciate firsthand info

Does anyone have experience with this?

My son had a cast on his wrist for a trip several years ago. He was allowed on all of the raft type rides, but was not allowed on the body slides. He still had a great time! I hope that all works out well for your friends son!

Yep, any of the attractions that have rules like "no rivets, zippers, etc." in swimwear, mostly the body slides, he won't be allowed on. It's to protect both the cast and the slide equipment from damage.

From a personal perspective, I wouldn't want to be in a wave pool with someone with a cast. Having been knocked around quite a bit in wave pools, and having been casted more times than I can count (and using them as weapons against an older brother), the combination of forces could end in serious injuries to an innocent party.

Perfect - thank you so much! I've heard confirmation from a cast member as well he'll be fine so I'm feeling better about them now. Makes total sense on the body slide and she doesn't want him doing anything too crazy as it is!

Thanks and definitely noted so I'll share. I agree with you too on being an innocent victim of being hit by a cast in a wave type situation - good point so I'll share with her too. I think she just wants them to relax and not anything too wild so I think he'll be fine.
