Hi, I've never been to either water park. Is one more exceptional than the other? I have two girls ages 13 and 18.

Thank you!

Typhoon Lagoon has a great wave pool.

Blizzard Beach is better for extreme rides and they have a better family raft ride.

Both have a great lazy river and a bunch of slides.

I'll agree with what stampinshauna said. We definitely like the slides better at BB. We could spend all day in the wave pool at TL. TL also has Shark Reef and the new Crush 'n' Gusher slides. They are both so unique that we always have to visit both.

TL also had my vote, it is just a beautiful park, the wave pool is amazing, if you prefer slides, BB is better.

I haven't been able to bring myself to goto Blizzard Beach. Being from Minnesota, I don't wanna see any snow or even fake snow while I'm vacationing in Florida! Of course I'm a big hypocrite because I'm really looking forward to riding Expedition Everest.

Typhoon Lagoon is great - I love the wave pool! I had to keep one hand on my sunglasses and one hand on my trunks when the waves hit!

Shark Reef at TL, when I went last May, was a disappointment. I expected the water to be much clearer than it was at the time. I wasn't able to see any of the habitants of the giant pool very well unless they were within a few feet of me. As numerous people suggested, I brought a disposable, waterproof camera along with me - all the photos turned out green. I'd be willing to try it again - perhaps I just hit a bad time of year?

I'll agree with that. I'm not a big fan of slides and I think that's probably the #1 reason I don't bother going to BB.

I've had a hard time deciding which to go to myself, I have 2 girls ages 7 and 4. Hubby is the family daredevil, he'll try anything once. Which is best for kids that age?

I have DS7, DS4, and DD2. We love BB. It has an awesome kids area and the family raft ride is a lot of fun. TL is lacking in the kids area. I agree the wave pool is fun but is almost the only thing my kids can do.

I prefer TL, although BB has a better family/group slide. I'm very fair-skinned and always get terrible sunburns at BB, even with sunscreen! I also like TL's theming a lot more.

I prefer TL, because I like the lush tropical themeing of it. I live in New England, so I see enough snow and ski lodges already.

When I am in Florida, I want it to feel like I am in the tropics.

TL for us too! :fish: It was a great place to spend the day where we weren't being accosted by too much noise & crowds. The shark tank was clear as a bell although our pics did have a bluish tint - nothing we couldn't live with! We too had to hang on to everything we had with us - bathing suits included - in the wave pool. Not a pretty sight if you didn't,. :sad2:

Beautiful pictures Safetymom!!! You got an ache started in my heart...I WANNA GO BACK! November can't come soon enough... :hourglass
