Hey Howdy Breakfast strategy

I’m looking for advice on strategy for booking the on board events for a Pixar cruise at 30 days out. At the 30 day mark at midnight, I can check in as a first time cruiser, book royal gathering, book a Hey Howdy Woody breakfast and book meets with Rex and the Incredibles. It seems like all of this is offered on both sea days. I understand it all books up very quickly so I’m thinking I will only get one shot at booking one of these things. Is that a good assumption? If so, I’m thinking the Woody breakfast is what I would go for as our highest priority. Does anyone have thoughts on whether it’s good strategy to go for the first or second sea day? Like which one is less popular so my odds might be better?

Also am I correct that I can just check in AFTER I go for these activities or do I need to be checked in? I’m not too fussed about my PAT because I’m taking Disney transit but just don’t want to be locked out of booking if that’s a necessary first step.

If you do not need to select a port arrival time, you should do the activity booking first then complete online check-in. You will then have an advantage over people who are trying for an early PAT first.

The only time my family did the breakfast, we booked while in the terminal waiting to board the ship, so I don’t have a sense of which day would be better. Pick one, and if it’s not available, try the other.

If you don’t get everything you wanted, keep checking periodically in case someone cancels, and check again once you are on the Navigator app with Disney WiFi in the cruise terminal. Good luck!

Thank you! I will keep trying if I don’t get it and plan to check both days. My son’s love of Toy Story is why we booked this cruise. Maybe there is no way to know but I was just thinking if I could start with checking the less popular of the two days, I’d have at least like a 20 second head start over people who start with the most popular. From when I booked the first round of activities, I think you could only look at activities by day. I wish I could just hit a button to see the breakfast on either day and grab whatever they have!

Yes, it would be better to be able to pick an activity and see all possible days. That is possible through the onboard Navigator, but not in advance. I would guess that most people start at the first available day and move forward, so there may be a slight advantage to looking at the 2nd sea day first.
