Water Parks in WDW

How many water parks are there in WDW?

We will purchase the Flexi tickets which includes entry to a few water parks including Wet and Wild.

If there are quite a few water parks i dont think we will be able to do them all.

Which water parks are a ''Must Do'' ?

Wet and Wild looks very good

(By the way we are a party of 6 adults and 2 kids 4yrs old and 12yrs old)

There are 2 waterparks, Typhoon Lagoon which is themed like a tropical paradise and Blizzard Beach which is meant to be like a ski resort. Both of them are fab, personally I prefer TL, both are well worth a visit though. W&W is abit of a concrete jungle, there are more thrill water rides there but its not themed well.

We like the Disney water parks but didn't like Wet n Wild, some do some don't.

What Disney tickets you buying? if you are buying tickets that include the water parks then if you could manage without Wet n Wild it would be probably cheaper to not buy Flexi tickets, instead look at buying Seaworld and Universal seperate. If you want Wet n Wild then Flexi is possibly cheaper.

Disney have 2 water parks Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach.

Ahhh thanks, i imagined there being lots of water parks and not being able to get round them all
Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach sound really nice... when i call up Thomson next i will ask about the price difference between the Flexi tickets and buying Universal Studios and Seaworld seperately.
If its a small difference then i will prob just buy the flexi tickets but if its a big difference then i think we should opt for buying them seperate.

I doubt Thomsons will be able to match buying the tickets direct.

Look at all options maybe they have some offers on but direct with the theme parks is often cheapest.

There is also Aquatica (seaworlds water park) that hasn't been mentioned yet. We haven't visit it yet as when we went in March DD was only 9mths so no water parks that trip!

we really like Disney's Blizzard beach.

What tickets are you planning on getting as the flex tickets don't cover the Disney parks. You would need the Disney ultimate or prmium tickets for that.

Some flex tickets will cover disney. Ours is a "magical yourway" which includes disney, Universal, IOA, SW, BG, and aquatica. I would say blizzard beach is a must do =)

I preferred Typhoon Lagoon as well - the theming is fantastic

Its worth getting there early Sara and then leaving when it gets really hot in the afternoon

I never liked the look of Wet and Wild either

I've never heard of magical yourway (I did a google search just in case and nothing) but if you mean Magic Your Way then that's just WDW. There are no tickets that cover both Disney and the other parks, WDW try to distance themselves as much as possible from other Orlando attractions (unlike DLR in Anaheim, CA) so I can't see it happening anytime soon if at all.

I suspect its a Flex ticket and some kind of Disney ticket sold together under the name of Magical Yourway. But as you say the flex part won't give access to Disney. Flex tickets are Universal, SW, Busch, Aqatica and Wet n Wild, Disney won't have anything to do with the Flex brand.

Thomson suggested that we buy

*Disney Ticket --- to get into the Disney Parks etc..
*Flexi Ticket ----- to get into the water parks, Seaworld, Pirates Adventure(is that wht its called?) and everything else

I think all together it will cost £1200 for 2 adults and 1 child

Don't know about this one without spending some time comparing but previous similar versions sounded good but when you broke the price down they were more expensive than buying seperate.
One of the problems with buying as a package is you are probably buying more than you need, like water parks for example. OK if you want them all but most people don't. Like everything they will work for some not for others.
