Water park weather in November?

We're going 10/30-11/6 and I can't decide if I should plan a day for a water park. We'll have a pool at the hotel but the kids love to swim. My oldest really wants to go but I don't want to buy the plus unless I'm sure we'll use it this trip.

So is it consistently water park hot that time of year or more pleasant & better regular park weather?

Also, what are the major differences between the two?

I usually go a couple of weeks later than you do and the weather is typically as follows:

morning - upper 50s to low 60s
high in the afternoon - mid 70s
night - back to low 60s to upper 50s overnight

So, if you are ok swimming in mid 70s air temperatures, then you should be fine. But the purpose would be to have water fun and not to cool off. And it would only be warm enough for swimming for maybe 5 hours of the day (11 am to 4 pm or whenever the sun starts going down). Before and after that, it might be too chilly.

I'm not sure about the water parks, but the hotel pools are heated they might be better for November swimming. Also, at the time you are planning, I believe that only Blizzard Beach will be open and that Typhoon Lagoon will be closed for the season.

I imagine that the weather during the time you are going might be 3 - 5 degrees warmer so you'll need to take that into account also.

You can go to weather.com and look at historic daily temperatures to get a better reference. http://www.weather.com/weather/climatology/daily/USFL0372?climoMonth=11

Thanks! That's exactly what I needed to know. Especially since one park will be closed, it sounds like that's not an ideal time of year. I think we'll just plan to take in more at the regular parks. Doesn't sound hot enough to me although I'm sure DD10 would suffer through. :p

Thanks for posting that question StephMK

Were hoping to go to TL 24th Oct and BB 3rd Nov

Hope it's warm enough keeping fingers crossed:sunny:

I don't want to dash anyone's hopes, but we were in the World the last week of October, 2001, and it was REALLY cold. Record-breaking cold snap that lasted the entire last 5 days of our trip and we never took our sweatshirts off, even during midday hours.:( A little sad about the weather but we had a GREAT time anyway!:teeth:

That was unual, but be prepared for the possibility of cold weather and you won't be disappointed.

We were is Disney November 2002 (11/16-11/23). I would say that you should have at least one day as a water park day. November weather does vary somewhat. While we were there it was upper 70's to low 80's for most of the week. We did have a BB water park day scheduled for one day (Thurs), and only because that particular day was a little too cool for swimming did we switch the day to Fri. During the evening we wore shorts and a long t-shirt or sweatshirt. So yes, I would schedule a water park day, and hopefully the weather will cooperate with all your plans. Have fun !

We were there in early November last year and every day it was in the 80's. We were in the pool every day and we even spent some midnight time in the quiet pools. It is very relaxing to be floating in the water and watchin g a lunar eclipse.

That said, I have been there in October and the weather has not been so kind. But I have never been in Disney World for a week when the weather was not perfect for swimming at least 1 day we were there.

Stay flexible about a couple days and I am sure you will find yourself in a water park.

We usually go the first week in November and always had great weather. We wore shorts and tshirts the whole time, day and night. We didn't go to the water parks, but the weather was nice enough to. Have a great time! :D
