The following question is from my 8 year old son:

Which water park(Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach) is better for people who want more excitement and are 8 years old?::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo :bounce:

(:he'll be so excited to get a response!)

I think you can have lots of fun at either park. Blizzard Beach has more slides if you like that.

Mom, if you search early in the day or later in the evening you can find several threads on the differences between the parks.

Hi! I'm eight years old too, and I'm going to Typhoon Lagoon because I really want to swim with the sharks! I'm sure I'd like Blizzard Beach too, but I'm from Canada, and I've seen too much snow already.

My 8-year old daughter preferred Typhoon Lagoon over Blizzard Beach, even though she did not like the snorkeling pool or really many of the slides. She just wanted to spend the entire day in the wave pool!!

I thought she had more fun at Blizzard Beach, it looked like way more fun to me!!

Well, my son is very impressed with technology and so excited that people "talked back" to him! Thank you! He would LOVE to swim with the sharks (I am not so thrilled about the idea) and yet, he is a thrill seeker that would probably love Blizzard Beach. Either way, I suppose we will be okay as long as it isn't a cold day.....if it is I guess it's hot tubbing at the resort w/hot chocolate for him and an adult beverage for mois!!!!!! How can I lose??

p.s. Would a one piece be better than a bikini? I don't want to give a free show, after all! Not to mention, after all of the eating we will be doing......the wet suit rental may be MANDATORY!!!!:teeth: :jumping4: ::MinnieMo

Hello, I am 15 years old and I am answering under my mother's name. I think that you would enjoy blizzard beach as it has and amazing childrens section with rides like the tube run and the zip line. Also, you might enjoy some of the family rides. They have an EXCELLENT family raft ride as well as a relaxing lazy river.

Because you are from North Carolina this may not be a concern for you - but for us we just don't go to Florida to see more snow and the idea of swimming in snow is a little confusing to my son. I like the lazy river at Typhoon Lagoon too and the idea of swimming with the sharks too.

Tinki…one piece or two just watch your top. A few years ago, when I was on the lazy river I ummmmm wellllll gave a bit of a peep show. Not on purpose mind you! ! It was just as you go into a cave. The water falls rather hard at the entrance.

My DD was 7 last April. She is a strong swimmer and loves roller caosters, etc.

She prefreed BB to TL for the following reasons:

The SKi Patrol area with the t-bar and slide on the side
The Family Raft Ride - long and fast
The two mat slides (especically the themed one down the ski slope)
The lazy river had a few suprises (hope you like cold water)

The wave pool at BB is a standard wave pool.

The pluses of TL were the wave pool and shark reef.

If she could only do 1 BB wins hands down
