Water mice boats

We will be renting the water mice boats on our upcoming trip. We're staying at BCV. We were going to rent them from their marina, but I'm wondering if it would be more fun to rent from either the Contemporary, Poly or WL, since that lake is so much bigger than Cresent Lake. Any thoughts?

I always loved renting them from the contemporary, but they are fun from wherever you are. They are so fun, esp. on a hot day!

We have stayed at the WL and done the family plan there, just for the watermice. My kids would rather do that, than spend time in the parks to be honest. It is nice to have that huge lake by the WL, and then to go over to the lake by the Poly and the Grand Floridian. They do have regulations on how not to get in the way of the big Ferries that carry people from the TTC to the MK, but so long as you are cautious, there is no problem. Have used the watermice at the Caribbean many years ago too,, but I think the newer ones are faster than the old watersprites.

I would rent them at the Grand Floridian. They are the only resort that has the Captain's plan. Pay for three hours and get four. You can use the four hours any way you want. Two people for two hours, four people for one hour and you can carry them over to different days.

We rented from both WL and BC and have found the WL to be the most fun. You can go faster than in the BC and the area, as you already pointed out, is much larger. We do the family plan at WL. Though, I don't think you can go wrong either way. They're so much fun.

I have rented at several places at WDW and getting them for the Bay Lake/Seven Seas Lagoon is my favorite. I was not at all impressed with the "scenery" between Epcot & MGM as I was with what I see out on the Lagoon and Bay Lake.

We rented from Ft Wilderness and I liked that because I hadn't driven a boat in years and there was more 'open space' to practice in before I headed into 'traffic'. They have raised the age for drivers recently and I was glad to see that. My friend almost got rammed by some young boys and later that same day the ferry boat we were on had to have the patrol boats go after one that had cut in front of our ferry TWICE.

I would go to the Contemp. or the WL. We took one out in 2002, splitting 2 hours time between me, DH and the 3 kids. It was really cool. I got some cool advantix pictures (the long panoramic ones) of the Poly and the GF from the water. I hear the newer ones are better and faster as well, although the canal Bay Lake and the Seven Seas Lagoon is a no-wake zone and it can seem like you are going REAAALLLLYY SLLLOOOOWWWW after speeding around for a while.
