Water delivered from Costco.....

This was the second time ordering water, first time from Costco. The only problem we had was that it got delivered to the AKV so quickly (but they held it for more than a week no problem). Other than that, 2 bottles were missing and clearly taken out the side of the box, don't know when they went missing, prior to shipping or after being delivered.

our water was delivered on our arrival date and was put in our room. the only slight problem we had was one of the bottles leaked for some reason. it didn't ruin anything...so what's one bottle? it saved us a TON of money! bottled water is $2/bottle at the parks.

Is there something wrong with the water at Disney? lol Just wondering why everyone is shipping water down...if I get the refillable mug can't I just fill it throughout the day? I guess I'm assuming there are water fountains on the Disney properties? Sorry if I'm being dumb but it's our first trip! Kat

The water in Orlando tastes like swamp water, and has a bad smell to it. Yes, there are water fountains in the parks, and they taste just as bad. :sad1:

Your refillable mug is only good at your resort, not the parks.

That's what I always do. I carry my refillable mug with me, and constantly fill it at the water fountains all day long. I've never had a problem doing that, the water is filtered, and tastes just fine to me! I dehydrate easily, so I'd spend enough for another vacation if I bought bottles all day. And I have no desire to shlep 3 or 4 bottles or more to the parks each day from my resort!

ETA: Hey, just thought I'd add that as I re-read my post, I realized it may have come off as rude or criticizing or something. I am in no way trying to imply that people shouldn't get their own water & take it to the parks. I think it's a fabulous idea, but it's something I wouldn't do, because it involves too much shlepping. I also wanted to assure the PP that fountains were available, and could be used as he/she asked!

I just placed an order today and we arrive on Monday....I ordered water, diapers and wipes. Thanks!!

So if we're going to arrive on Tuesday, Jan 6th (actually we won't be there until after midnight, so VERY early on the 7th), when would you all suggest placing an order to have the water shipped?

I would order on the 1st...it is a holiday though. I ordered our water on the 1st and it arrived on the 6th (our arrival date)

And don't forget, or maybe you didn't know, but instead of taking a water bottle or your resort mug, counter services and any snack counter that has a soda fountain will give you free cups of ice water upon request, and it is good tasting water and cold because it comes out of the soda fountain.:woohoo:

What is the address/web site of the Costco? Or what city is it in?

Thank you,

Patti

I went to costco.com They must have one near disney because my cousin who leaves in 5 days is using a towncar service which includes a 45 min stop at costco.

We just ordered ours 2 weeks ago for our trip last week. www.costco.com Search for water... it will pull up a case of water. Ours was shipped from Georgia (??) I ordered on 10/21 and it got there 10/23. I had it addressed to "My Name,Guest arriving 10/25" to the Caribbean Beach address and no problems. When we checked in they told me they had packages (I shipped a box of snacks too) and they delivered to our room.

I have to comment that I did use the resort mug for my Diet Coke in the morning BUT the problem with that was it was an "open drink" and it wasn't allowed on rides :sad2: and it was really hard to carry that mug with my camera and getting out my card for fast pasess etc. Just so much easier with the water bottles. I had a strap for each kid to carry their own too. It really worked out well. Thanks for those above on this thread for the info - it was very helpful!!!!! :cool1:

I just need to add that ordering water from Costco is one of the best tips I've picked up on the boards. It definitely made my normally grumpy DH happy to save a little every day.

I'll definitely remember to order a case or two again next year. We'll be on the DDP next year and want to save all the those snack credits for goodies!

Does anyone have the Animal Kingdom Lodge address for this service?

? - does the water at the hotels and rental properties around WDW taste bad too? We are renting a place in Windsor Hills and I'm wondering if I should bother with using bottled water. Does a standard Brita water pitcher take away the bad taste?
