Watching wishes from contemporary?

hi,

a few years ago we ate at chef mickey's and then went up to the top floor, walked out onto a balcony and watched the fireworks...does anyone know if you can still do this????

I think you are talking about the balcony at the California Grill. I believe you can only go up there now if you have an actual reservation.

There is now a viewing location on the 4th floor. You can't get up to the top floor unless you are dining at California Grill. The 4th floor isn't bad, not as great at the 14th of course. But if you time it right, you could always walk across the street and pop into MK after dinner.

Last Spring, we ate at Chef Mickey's and asked a CM if there was somewhere nearby we could watch Wishes. She directed to us to the other side of the building, same floor. We walked down the hall, pst the gift shop and outside onto a balcony with benches and had a great view. There are only about 8 benches, and they fill up fast. You can also stand. There is no music piped in, but we didn't mind. Then we hopped on the monorail and went home. It was great. We plan to do it again when we go in October.
