I am trying to look for a way to watch 4th of July fireworks without getting into the crowds/traffic at Disney. We are staying onsite at Old Key West. Right now I have ADRs at 'Ohanas for that night to watch the fireworks, but both of my DDs said they didn't really like it there the last time we tried it. I hate to pay adult prices for them (they are 14 and 11) if they won't like it.

So, the other option I was thinking of was going to celebration to watch their fireworks. I have read on this board that they have nice fireworks too. Has anyone seen them? I have never been to Celebration, so I also wouldn't know where to go to view them. Any suggestions??

ride the bus over to the MK - then go to the TTC - and watch the fireworks from there....

if you have a car just drive over to the Polyn - since you have a reservation the guard will let you in - just eat at Captain cooks instead.... then watch the fireworks.

remember for July 4 th the park does not close after the fireworks....

so yes there will be lots of people leaving - but not everyone.

That's true. I didn't think about that.

Thanks for the advice spiceycat. You always offer good advice.

I am thinking about switching the ADR to Kona Cafe. I have seen a few pictures and I think the food looks good there too.

You can watch the fireworks from anywhere downtown, but there are major crowds and parking could be another hassle.
Take some time if you can and visit Celebration, any day but the 4th of July.
We always go to the BCV for the 4th.

The Kona is very good. Maybe if you had dinner there on the 4th you could watch the fireworks on the beach.
