I agree- I'll be on the computer and think, "Hey, I can get in 20 more minutes on the elliptical!"

I'll tell you one secret I did to pass a Physical Fitness test before ;) I was trying to 'up' my sit-ups to 80 in less then 2 minutes (I think?). So whenever I watched television, whenever the commercials came on- I'd do as many sit-ups as I could while the commercials were on.

And guess what? I kicked BUTT on sit-ups by the time I had to do them!

That is such a good idea! I'm going to start doing that. We've been in a bad habit of watching too much tv over the winter, so maybe now I can justify watching a few of my favorites by doing situps & stuff during the commercials. I mean, I don't want to miss Dancing w/ the stars, Bachelor & American Idol...what would I do if I didn't know what was going on each week :) Plus, my abs are what I really need to work. Since I had my son they are no wear near where they used to be, so it's time to start doing lots & lots of core work.

anyway, I don't think it's the puter...I think it's just the SBC modem. dd's laptop wouldn't work either...but now I"m sitting here at Panera & it's just fine :)

I MISSED the DIS holy crud!!!!!! I didn't realize I dis'd that much. so I have an hour now to catch up...

I did awful this weekend...too much stress, too much food, not enough exercise. I need to leanr to do better with stress.

TODAY however is another day! Went to a 90 min extended spinning class - let's just say...there was more sweat than I'd ever seen before!

Sitting here with my plain 1/2 turkey sandwich and my cup of low fat chicken noodle soup.

I've got it now...I think I just had to "snap out of it"

I'm in for the exercise challenge! Which one? 500 or 1200? I can do 1200 if you guys decide to.

It looks like everyone is doing GREAT!!!

Tia - I love Yoga! One of my best friends does yoga 7-8 times a week....she is in the most amazing shape of anyone I know.

Timmy - TAKE IT SLOW!!!! YEA for the no more double shifts!!!

Becky - MOving is more stress than most of us can handle! cut yourself some slack & hit the pavement!

It's been a quiet afternoon :)

So, last night I made chicken to have for lunch and as I was leaving this morning I was thinking how boring plain, boneless chicken is & I was really dreading eating it for lunch. Well, we had these green verde salsa packages left from eating at Taco Time last weekend & my husband said "why don't you use one of those." Okay, so anyways, I just had my lunch (very late lunch today) at work & I used the green verde sauce...it was sooooo good. My husband is a genious...don't tell him I said that LOL :rotfl: But anyway, I think I found a new way to eat chicken so that it isn't so boring & plain, & I don't think salsa is bad for you, so I'm going to eat that more often.

Nope, salsa is good for you, for the most part!

In fact, we make salsa chicken in the crockpot from time to time- toss in about 5-6 breasts, toss in a whole jar of hot salsa, and let it cook. YUMMM!!!!
 
I don't think I"m going to lose any weight this week. I've stayed pretty steady since Friday, so I'm thinking that's how its going to be. I was at a training today for work and we ordered out, I got a grilled chicken sandwich with mushroom and swiss, which is good, minus the roll of course. So with dinner I ate about 2x as many starches today as I should've. Very very sleepy today though. Thinking about going to bed at 8!
 
All of us are pretty quiet! Well, I'm making dirty rice for dinner and trying to decide whether I'm going to have some or have a lower calorie sandwich or Lean Cuisine. Oh, but the dirty rice SMELLS GOOD.

I broke down and had ONE Poptart today- I was giving my son one and I just... folded. LOL!

Otherwise, today has been a good, but oddly tiresome day. I was so ready for naptime when my Bub took his nap!
 
Hi, guys. I have been lurking and read through your entire thread :) Unfortunately it doesn't look like I'm going to get to go enjoy the wonderful Free Dining this year. I have been trying to talk DH into it, but he is not caving :confused3

I just think you guys have an awesome group here!! You guys are so motivated and are doing great at encouraging each other! I have a journal on the WISH journal board and some great friends that help motivate me, but I love the little trip based community you guys have started.

I am trying to convince DH that if I could lose my 30ish pounds by Sept. then Disney & free dining could be my reward. :cool1: :thumbsup2 Wouldn't that be an Excellent reward. Not sure he's going for it, but I'm gonna bust my tush trying and maybe he will cave ;) I can dream anyway :cloud9:

If you guys don't mind, I would love to continue to lurk and live vicariously through ya'll! :thumbsup2 I will try to stop by and post some too.

That would be a wonderful thing if your DH would let you go to Disney for losing 30 lbs.

Ok guys - this is going to be a busy busy week for me but I am going to do my best to keep and keep everyone encouraged.

It is already Monday and we still have 4 more days to go until weigh in Friday. Keep moving and making the best choices !

Yum!!! Sounds so good. I'm going to pull out the crockpot. How long do you usually cook it for & at what temp? I'm not really the cook in our house, my DH does most of the cooking hehe :)

Last week I did chicken breast in a baking pan with 1 jar of salsa on 350 degrees for 45 minutes. After 45 minutes take out and sprinkle low fast cheddar cheese on the top ( kep being sprinkle - not cover :lmao: ) replace tin efoil and put back in oven for another 5 minutes.

I was alittle leary of the recipe but it was SO good !!
 
It depends on how long I have to cook it... If I start it around 2ish, I'll put it on low and let it cook until about 5-6 and then just double check to make sure the chicken is cooked all of the way through. But then again, I typically start off with frozen breasts- so if they are thawed, it might only take an hour or two (see- I'm no expert!).

I love crockpot meals. I make them a lot- even though I'm NOT the cook either! I love potroast in the crockpot, I love tatertot casserole (not low cal- but easy as can be! Line crockpot with tatertots, add browned hamburger, a can of cream of mushroom soup, and a can of green beans- let it cook for like 3 hours- the kids LOVE it and it makes a lot!)- my crockpot is my favorite cooking device.

yesterday was not bad... I did my 5 miniutes walks here and there.. and thank God work was so busy last nite i forgot to eat the Danish that my co worker left for me in the fridge...:banana:
