My goal for today is MORE WATER !! I have been slacking :rolleyes1

Yesterday I had a really good day. I also did the elliptical for about 15 minutes, part of my jogging program ( after that elliptical I couldn't do all of it) and then went for a long walk !! I was so proud of myself !!

Tip for drinking water:

I have a huge Culligan jug on my desk of 2 gallons with a cup. When I'm at the computer, I make sure I drink at least a cup while I'm sitting there. I easily go through probably 3/4th of it in one day!

Oooh! Was at Target today and they have these 100 cal Hostess cupcake packs! Of course, they are itty bitty- the cupcakes are about 1/3rd the size of a normal one- and there are three in a pack (100 cal for the pack)- but it's a GREAT pickmeup with the chocolate frosting!!!

Just wanted to share!
 
Oooh! Was at Target today and they have these 100 cal Hostess cupcake packs! Of course, they are itty bitty- the cupcakes are about 1/3rd the size of a normal one- and there are three in a pack (100 cal for the pack)- but it's a GREAT pickmeup with the chocolate frosting!!!

I also picked up 100 cal mini popcorn, and these little 100 cal Quaker Rice cakes- one has chocolate drizzled on top! YUMMM!!!

I'm really learning this time around, versus the past few times I've done this- that it's simply about choice. You can HAVE the chocolate while losing weight- you just need to have control over how MUCH you have. The little 100 cal packs really help me in that regard!

I'm probably going to get 20 more minutes on the elliptical in this evening- gotta keep it up so I can reach my 1200 by the time this month is up!~

I haven't introduced myself much so I wanted to check in and say HI! I've joined the challenge and am definitely trying to keep myself in check to lose those pesky pounds. I've been doing great exercising now I just need to get my eating in check and I'll be golden. Pru - I love those mini cupcakes they are soooo good but I haven't the self control to just eat one pack! Right now b/c I'm having a hard time kicking the dessert habit I've been having a bowl of Special K chocolatey delight instead of cookies. It is sweet enough to make me feel like I'm getting something but not that bad for you. I feel like I'm on a 12 step program to lay off the desserts :rotfl: I also need to get the water intake up! I love flavored water so maybe I need to get some of those little packets.

You might also try the Sugar Free Jello with a lite Cool whip on top.. Also "skinny cow" (I swear that is the brand name) puts out a great line of Ice Cream sandwiches:yay:
 
Hi, guys. I have been lurking and read through your entire thread :) Unfortunately it doesn't look like I'm going to get to go enjoy the wonderful Free Dining this year. I have been trying to talk DH into it, but he is not caving :confused3

I just think you guys have an awesome group here!! You guys are so motivated and are doing great at encouraging each other! I have a journal on the WISH journal board and some great friends that help motivate me, but I love the little trip based community you guys have started.

I am trying to convince DH that if I could lose my 30ish pounds by Sept. then Disney & free dining could be my reward. :cool1: :thumbsup2 Wouldn't that be an Excellent reward. Not sure he's going for it, but I'm gonna bust my tush trying and maybe he will cave ;) I can dream anyway :cloud9:

If you guys don't mind, I would love to continue to lurk and live vicariously through ya'll! :thumbsup2 I will try to stop by and post some too.

Both of those are great suggestions, thanks for reminding me about the jello. I used to eat it all the time & loved keeping sugar free jello in the house because whenever I was craving something sweet I would just go for those. Guess I'll have to stop by the store tonight & stock up. Also, I figure that if I have ice cream sandwiches I would be less likely to overeat since it is so easy to just scoop a ton of ice cream into a bowl & not even know how much you are really eating.

For me this is also a challenge to keep my portions in check. This is always a challenge for me !!

Hi Laurie !! Another great snack is the individual size chocolate ( or any other flavor or even yogurt) pudding's. You can put it in a bowl and mix it with the Lite Cool Whip for a great low cal snack. It tastes like mousse !! :cloud9: This is one of my favorites. :woohoo:

WAY TO GO, LADIES AND GENTS!!! That's AWESOME! And this week- I bet it will be even more since everyone is going all out!

Me- I just did 40 more minutes on my elliptical and it LITERALLY KICKED MY BUTT!!! I'm feeling like pinpricks in my arms and legs from working out so hard!

Since I promised 1200 minutes, I figured I'm going to try my hardest to get as much in at the beginning of this month in case there is a day or two where I don't get to work out. UGH!
