Watch out Dumbo, There's a bigger Circus coming to Town...Triplets take on the World

remember your first time in the world?
what would you have done differently in regards to your dining... Table service first.

Magic Kingdom (including resorts)
Chef Mickey's We've not done this since 2004, but we would ONLY do breakfast if we went back
Be our guest Done three times and never had a bad meal
Ohana We did NOT like dinner at all
Cinderella royal table Lunch or dinner?? Never done...my boyus would NOT eat with Princesses :lmao::lmao:

Hollywood studios
Sci-fi It redeemed itself with me last week

Epcot
Love to try Teppan Edo
or back to Akershus for Breakfast? Lunch/dinner is..... well....:crazy2:
If we do Cindy's table we have our Princess character dining done..
What do you think

We enjoyed Teppan Edo but doubt we'll go back (we go to a place in Naples that is 20 times better. I think you should give Chefs de France a shot...very good.

Animal Kingdom:
Tusker house Breakfast

Go early if you can; it seems the later you go the worse the service gets

thoughts? What do all of you think First time visitors NEED to see? the menu's and restaurants in Disney are very intimidating, i want this to be the BEST vacation for them and us all idea's are needed!!! SO fun!!!!

I would also think about trying Coral Reef; the kids will all enjoy watching the fish in the aquarium while they eat.

I did it again. I bought drag Duffy this Click-----------> HERE
i have an addiction. i need to go to Duffy clothing anonymous :upsidedow

I still don't get the whole Duffy thing at all. :rolleyes1:rolleyes1
What the hell you did NOT clear this with me... :lmao:

I'm sorry; we just didn't like all the rain in August an dit was brutally hot.

I still don't get the whole Duffy thing at all. :rolleyes1:rolleyes1

I'm sorry; we just didn't like all the rain in August an dit was brutally hot.

ohh Poor Duffy... not getting the Kathy love... :hippie:

I'm not going in August.. you will NEVER catch me in august.. ever. That's D's Time... :cool2:

I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GLAD you hear that Scifi redeemed itself! :woohoo: what did you end up getting?

isn't coral reef a signature restaurant??

Chef Mickey's only breakfast?? is it the same Breakfast stuff as everywhere else?? Only have done Lunch (in 2010 no longer available) and dinner.

Teppan edo- isn't this a lot like the place here....
GOOD GRIEF the name escapes me... help.
I highly doubt my kids would like Chefs de France.. WEE WEE! :lmao:

***********************************************************
Keep in Mind.. this is their first visit!!! need a whole lot of DISNEY IN YOUR FACE fun for everyone!

Definitely Chef Mickey's! We love it as a first dinner at Disney, especially if you get in later in the day. We usually drive and not do parks the first day, so CM is always a great first experience at Disney for us. :thumbsup2

Not a fan of Sci-Fi...but not a fan of Primetime either. Have never been to Mama Melrose, so no help with the HS restaurant choices. :rolleyes1

Boma or Sanaa might be good dinner choices for AK day. Seeing the Savannah while you dine... :cloud9:

Epcot is just a wealth of great choices. Teppan Edo if your kids have never done a Japanese Steakhouse, San Angel to watch the boats go by, Askersus for princesses, our kids LOVED the polka band at Beirgarten, Coral Reef to eat with the fish (it is NOT signature), belly dancers at the Merrikesh (spelling is wrong on that). I am with Kathy, I would seriously consider Chefs... Charity and Gabe got plain pasta with chicken fingers when we were there. It is a FABULOUS restaurant, and you get to see Remy! :goodvibes

BOG should be a must try...I know it is for us when we make it back to the parks! :thumbsup2

Would you consider one two credit experience? We all LOVED the luau at the Poly. We STILL talk about it as one of our favorite Disney experiences.

ohh Poor Duffy... not getting the Kathy love... :hippie:

Nope...not happening.

I'm not going in August.. you will NEVER catch me in august.. ever. That's D's Time... :cool2:

So what are your dates exactly?

I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GLAD you hear that Scifi redeemed itself! :woohoo: what did you end up getting?

You'll have to wait for the TR to find out.

isn't coral reef a signature restaurant??

Nope, it is not.

Chef Mickey's only breakfast?? is it the same Breakfast stuff as everywhere else?? Only have done Lunch (in 2010 no longer available) and dinner.

I don't do lunch or dinner buffets at Disney...I find the food awful. Yes, same breakfast items as every other Disney breakfast buffet.

Teppan edo- isn't this a lot like the place here....
GOOD GRIEF the name escapes me... help.

Probably.

I highly doubt my kids would like Chefs de France.. WEE WEE! :lmao:

They have an excellent grilled cheese sandwich!

***********************************************************
Keep in Mind.. this is their first visit!!! need a whole lot of DISNEY IN YOUR FACE fun for everyone!

What about Cyrstal Palace for Pooh, Tigger, etc.?

IF it was my first trip - what would I have done differently... Hmmm... No brainer there...

First - I would stay ON SITE... Boom - you've taken care of that!

Second, I would do any and ALL sit down meals I could find reservations for... I would certainly do a princess meal of some sort in the castle... I don't think it matters which one... I would do dinner if you have DDP - just because it's 2 ts no matter what. I would also have done BBB when my girls were little. I would also do Crystal Palace for breakfast earliest seating (BEFORE THE PARK OPENS - it's a must do). Tusker house, as well - first available seating before the park opens. When the girls were little - we LOVED Garden Grill - the character experience there was phenominal. And even though 50s is hit or miss, it's still on our list for this coming trip.

D~

Now that we have Jen on here... i have WHOLE HARTLEY missed her!!! i haven't seen her or the family in forever! Im excited to see her tonight!!! (baseball meeting)

LETS TALK ADR'S!!!

remember your first time in the world?
what would you have done differently in regards to your dining... Table service first.

Magic Kingdom (including resorts)
Chef Mickey's Did this one for Breakfast in 2010 with Mom, DB & SIL and we loved it! I would love to go back for lunch or dinner sometime just to try the Mac and Cheese that everyone talks about.
Be our guest Um, YES!!! This is a must do for me, it's way more than a meal, it's an entire experience. And I just found a link to make FP reservations for lunch. You have to do it close to your trip so here's the link in case you want to bookmark it. BOG Lunch Reservations
Ohana - never eaten here, the menu just doesn't appeal to me :confused3
Cinderella royal table Lunch or dinner?? Also haven't eaten here. But I'll share a secret. Mom has always talked about wanting to eat in the castle but we always seem to pick other restaurants. So for her Christmas gift, I've booked breakfast for the two of us in February. Now I just need to finish the invitation from Cinderella that I'm making so she has something to open Christmas morning.

Hollywood studios
Sci-fi I love Sci-fi but if your family can take some teasing, 50s Prime Time is lots of fun too. I should be writing about the amazing Pixie Dust filled experience Jim and I had at 50s Prime Time in the next week. Mama Melrose is also a family favorite but it might not be as fun for the kids.

Epcot
Love to try Teppan Edo
or back to Akershus for Breakfast? Lunch/dinner is..... well....:crazy2:
If we do Cindy's table we have our Princess character dining done..
What do you think Epcot is hard, there are so many restaurants to choose from! I've never eaten at Tepan Edo or Akershus. My favorites are Coral Reef, Rose & Crown and Le Cellier.

Animal Kingdom:
Tusker house Breakfast - once again I've never eaten here. I tend to stick with Flame Tree BBQ for lunch and then go to another park or Downtown Disney for dinner. I have eaten at Rain Forest Cafe but I tend to avoid it now because you can eat at that restuarant outside of Disney

thoughts? What do all of you think First time visitors NEED to see? the menu's and restaurants in Disney are very intimidating, i want this to be the BEST vacation for them and us all idea's are needed!!! SO fun!!!!

Love the Duffy drag cloths!

Definitely Chef Mickey's! We love it as a first dinner at Disney, especially if you get in later in the day. We usually drive and not do parks the first day, so CM is always a great first experience at Disney for us. :thumbsup2

Humm this is a pretty good idea...
depending on the time we get there too.. need Jen...

Not a fan of Sci-Fi...but not a fan of Primetime either. Have never been to Mama Melrose, so no help with the HS restaurant choices. :rolleyes1

Loved SCIFI! you don't like it?!?

Boma or Sanaa might be good dinner choices for AK day. Seeing the Savannah while you dine... :cloud9:

This is true too.. i like this idea?!?

Epcot is just a wealth of great choices. Teppan Edo if your kids have never done a Japanese Steakhouse, San Angel to watch the boats go by, Askersus for princesses, our kids LOVED the polka band at Beirgarten, Coral Reef to eat with the fish (it is NOT signature), belly dancers at the Merrikesh (spelling is wrong on that). My kids will eating anything. seriously A-N-Y-T-H-I-N-G well at least they will try it.
Jen's kids are picky eaters and want to go somewhere they can find something they will like.

BOG should be a must try...I know it is for us when we make it back to the parks! :thumbsup2

I CANNOT WAIT TO GO HERE!

Would you consider one two credit experience? We all LOVED the luau at the Poly. We STILL talk about it as one of our favorite Disney experiences.

Never did the luau.. IF and this is a big IF we want to try both Cindy's table AND the luau might have to up our DDP (disney dining Plan) to delux...

What about Cyrstal Palace for Pooh, Tigger, etc.?

Love that idea. we already have so many places in the MK that i'm afraid we won't be able to do the other worlds?!? or dump Chef Mickey's for Crystal palace..

:thumbsup2 Yes, also an excellent choice!

that didn't help... :lmao:

IF it was my first trip - what would I have done differently... Hmmm... No brainer there...

First - I would stay ON SITE... Boom - you've taken care of that!

Second, I would do any and ALL sit down meals I could find reservations for... I would certainly do a princess meal of some sort in the castle... I don't think it matters which one... this is where i need Jen... OH JEN

i am going to leave this to you. we can in Animal Kingdom go to either the tusker house for breakfast (normal breakfast food) with Mickey donald and gang.
or go to the Animal Kingdom Lodge for breakfast and eat while watching the savanna the animals roam free?

EPCOT: there are a lot of choices here. like the ones listed above. Want to take reigns here??? ask questions!! i honestly don't care...

Magic Kingdom:
we can either go to Chef Mickey's for whatever meal OR we can do Breakfast at Crystal Palace with Winnie the poo and peeps???

Also something to think about it the 2 table credits. Cindy's table IN the castle and the Luau at the poly... would you be interested in both?!? if so we will have to up our dining plan to the delux.

Love the Thanksgiving recap. The museum visit sounds like fun and the extra special guests are a bonus. :santa:

Glad I am not your Christmas to New Years visitor. We did that to my mom one year - put all the ornaments that we had collected over the years on the tree. It was COVERED. I think I was the one who put it all away. At least you had a little helper. Is he still getting into all the decorations?

Congrats to the volleyball players. :goodvibes

YEAH for getting your trips on the work calendars and for deciding on the POLY.:banana::banana:

As for ADRs, I will give my 2 cents and you can use it as you like.

Chef Mickey's - we go every trip for dinner. We enjoy it and it is a tradition for us. My DH always complains about "another buffet" but he is not complaining while he is eating.

Be our guest - had dinner here on our past trip and enjoyed it. Not sure if we would make it a priority to go back there but it is really a nice experience and the food was good.

Ohana - never been there (we have done Kona Cafe a few times and enjoy it)
Cinderella royal table Lunch or dinner?? - went here for dinner last January with my brother's family and we REALLY enjoyed it. The food was great and the atmosphere was wonderful. My niece did BBB after lunch and we went there for dinner. :)

Never been to SciFi - we usually do Prime Time for lunch.

Epcot
Teppan Edo - we have done this twice. Most recently on our last trip to celebrate my son's 9th b-day. The food was good. I found it to be very loud and with the table configuration it was hard to have a conversation. I will probably not plan on eating there again anytime in the future.
Akershus - we have breakfast here a few times and have enjoyed it on every trip. It is my dad's favorite restaurant - I think mostly because we don't many breakfast ADRs so he enjoys the actual food. We also love the atmosphere and the princess interaction. On my brother's trip we did both CRT and Akershus but my niece was REALLY into the princesses.
I think on our next trip we will hit the restaurant in Italy that Suzi went to on her last trip. We have also done Coral Reef and enjoyed that.

We did Tusker house for an early lunch on my brother's trip and really liked it. We got to eat the breakfast and lunch items since they were switching over the buffet. We were not planning on going to AK on that trip and I was able to get the ADR during our trip, not sure I would have tried for an earlier time because I'm not sure my brother's family would have made it to an early ADR.

We usually end up eating meals in the parks we are visiting so we don't have to use up our park time traveling to different restaurants (and we always have a car).

We did HDDR two years ago (kids were 10 and 7) on our arrival day and we LOVED it. The kids had a blast. Getting there is not easy but I think there is a boat from MK that goes to restaurant location.

So many choices. I know you guys will enjoy anywhere you go. Can't wait to hear all about your trip. popcorn::

Yes it's official. We are set to book. Now I am new with Disney planning. What is ADR.

Welcome Jen!
Now that we have Jen on here... i have WHOLE HARTLEY missed her!!! i haven't seen her or the family in forever! Im excited to see her tonight!!! (baseball meeting)

LETS TALK ADR'S!!!

Chef Mickey's have never eaten here
Be our guest - must do
Ohana - never been here either
Cinderella royal table Lunch or dinner?? or here

I like Tony's and the Plaza too.

Hollywood studios
Sci-fi - was so-so when we were there last
Charlie is not a fan of Prime Time, but we do like Mama Melrose

Epcot
Love to try Teppan Edo - we are doing this one in March - we have a Japanese steakhouse near home that we like, but I've wanted to try this one
or back to Akershus for Breakfast? Lunch/dinner is..... well....:crazy2: haven't eaten here either, but I love the qs in Norway
If we do Cindy's table we have our Princess character dining done..
What do you think Are your boy munchkins going to want to do 2 princess meals?

Don't forget Via Napoli - yummy pizza, or Biergarten - we are eating here in March too. I also liked Coral Reef and Rose and Crown
Animal Kingdom:
Tusker house Breakfast - this is a must do for us

Would you consider one two credit experience? We all LOVED the luau at the Poly. We STILL talk about it as one of our favorite Disney experiences.

We did the luau many years ago, and I was not impressed with the food, but the show was fabulous.

I absolutely would recommend HDDR - I laughed so hard I had tears in my eyes - corny as all get out, but lots of fun.

Ok. Here's what I liked:

Breakfast at the lodge at Animal kingdom so kids can watch animals roam free. Kids would love that. Then we case animal kingdom.

We MUST do breakfast at the castle with the princesses if possible. I am hoping if we do the morning Gracie won't be too tired and crabby to meet them. We then could go to the Bibidi bobbiti boutique.

I like the idea of the luau. Chris and I went to one when we were in Hawaii and u think the kids would like it.

Other than that as long as they have chicken fingers, cheeseburgers, hamburgers or grilled cheese we are fine. My kids are picky eaters. Especially Logan. You know him.

Love the Duffy drag cloths!
HA HA HA! Thanks!!
In 2011 we did a Tony's breakfast.. we all LOVED IT!!! one of the best breakfasts we had the entire trip..

PRIME TIME
I am not huge on this ONLY because we have a restaurant here called Ed Debivics which is the same thing. 50's themed restaurant with rude/funny dancing staff. If you want to see ---->LOOK HERE
Honestly when going to Disney i want to experience things that are not in Chicago.. Ya know???

Thank you SO MUCH for the link! i have it saved!!!

Love the Thanksgiving recap. The museum visit sounds like fun and the extra special guests are a bonus. :santa:

Thanks!!! as soon as i am caught up around here i have to finish editing them!!!

Glad I am not your Christmas to New Years visitor. We did that to my mom one year - put all the ornaments that we had collected over the years on the tree. It was COVERED. I think I was the one who put it all away. At least you had a little helper. Is he still getting into all the decorations?

:rotfl: Yep. i have a feeling he will be called out on the road for a show. He's a musician (drummer) and i am going to get stuck putting it all away... :faint:

Congrats to the volleyball players. :goodvibes

Thank you!!! i was so proud of the kids!!!

YEAH for getting your trips on the work calendars and for deciding on the POLY.:banana::banana:

I KNOW RIGHT?!?!?! I AM JUST OVERJOYED!!!! :hyper:

As for ADRs, I will give my 2 cents and you can use it as you like.

Chef Mickey's - we go every trip for dinner. We enjoy it and it is a tradition for us. My DH always complains about "another buffet" but he is not complaining while he is eating.

I love 2 cents so please go ahead!!!
I understand about the buffets. yet with pickey eaters this is a easy thing for them all. Plus my kids get a kick out of the choices and feel like big kids for getting their own food. :rotfl2:
I am going to have to break this down even more...

Be our guest - had dinner here on our past trip and enjoyed it. Not sure if we would make it a priority to go back there but it is really a nice experience and the food was good.

I think BOG (Be Our Guest) is going to stick.. it's something i have never tried something new and i really really want to see the inside of the castle.

Ohana - never been there (we have done Kona Cafe a few times and enjoy it)

My husband won't let Ohana go... :confused3 i think i need to persuade him more...

Cinderella royal table Lunch or dinner?? - went here for dinner last January with my brother's family and we REALLY enjoyed it. The food was great and the atmosphere was wonderful. My niece did BBB after lunch and we went there for dinner. :)

the food was good too?? Is this experience like akershus?

Never been to SciFi - we usually do Prime Time for lunch.

Did you read what i wrote about this above?? we have something similar here in Chicago..

Epcot
Teppan Edo - we have done this twice. Most recently on our last trip to celebrate my son's 9th b-day. The food was good. I found it to be very loud and with the table configuration it was hard to have a conversation. I will probably not plan on eating there again anytime in the future.

Honestly I think i am going to leave the decision fully to Jen on Epcot. i really don't have a preference. i'm game for anything!!!

What is the difference in Princess interactions with Akershus and Cindy's table?? If they are the same i would rather do the castle! right?!?

I think on our next trip we will hit the restaurant in Italy that Suzi went to on her last trip. We have also done Coral Reef and enjoyed that.

See?!?! I am so confused!!! I don't know what to thing about Epcot!!!

We did Tusker house for an early lunch on my brother's trip and really liked it. We got to eat the breakfast and lunch items since they were switching over the buffet. We were not planning on going to AK on that trip and I was able to get the ADR during our trip, not sure I would have tried for an earlier time because I'm not sure my
brother's family would have made it to an early ADR.

LOVE Tusker house!

We usually end up eating meals in the parks we are visiting so we don't have to use up our park time traveling to different restaurants (and we always have a car).

This is the exact same as we do. Need to pick what days and what restaurants to figure out which park we will be going!!!

We did HDDR two years ago (kids were 10 and 7) on our arrival day and we LOVED it. The kids had a blast. Getting there is not easy but I think there is a boat from MK that goes to restaurant location.

I totally forgot about HDDR!!! shoot....

So many choices. I know you guys will enjoy anywhere you go. Can't wait to hear all about your trip. popcorn::

you are SOOOOOOOO right we will have a wonderful time no matter what!!

Welcome Jen!

She's awesome...

We did the luau many years ago, and I was not impressed with the food, but the show was fabulous.

humm. i was looking into the luau in 2010... must look more into this too...

I absolutely would recommend HDDR - I laughed so hard I had tears in my eyes - corny as all get out, but lots of fun.

Here is vote #2 for HDDR!!!

YAY! let's get this working!!!

Ok. Here's what I liked:

Breakfast at the lodge at Animal kingdom so kids can watch animals roam free. Kids would love that. Then we case animal kingdom.

SANAA
I have questions on this.. I just looked it up and it doesn't show Sanaa having breakfast??? Only Boma. and i don't see Boma having a savannah view??? Is this true?!?!
Jen, I don't care one way or another. If we were to do Animal Kingdom Lodge (AKL) we need a very early start. we will have to grab either the fairy or the monorail to Magic Kingdom to hitch a bus over to AKL. may take a while??? Must turn this over to the people who know more on this.. :confused3

We MUST do breakfast at the castle with the princesses if possible. I am hoping if we do the morning Gracie won't be too tired and crabby to meet them. We then could go to the Bibidi bobbiti boutique.

I am all over doing the castle. We've never done it so i'm excited about this!!! Would you want Gracie all done up for the breakfast???
i'm sold just on this alone: Caramel Apple Stuffed French Toast

I like the idea of the luau. Chris and I went to one when we were in Hawaii and u think the kids would like it.

The luau would be located at the Poly too.. so that's just a walk over...
another one we haven't done. looks really cool!

Other than that as long as they have chicken fingers, cheeseburgers, hamburgers or grilled cheese we are fine. My kids are picky eaters. Especially Logan. You know him.

I love your kids as you know. so that's why with all the planning we need to ensure there is something there for everyone... otherwise they won't enjoy it!!

Someone asked (i may have missed the reply?!?!)
About the boys and all the princess stuff... well WHY DOESN'T DISNEY have more boy options?!?! Like a villian, pirate, Prince, character meals? I mean Disney bought Marvel comics! why isn't there a meal for THAT??? :mic:
Plus i think the boys will secretly LOVE the attention from the beautiful princesses!!! I know i will...

******************************************************

Alrighty.. This i SWEAR Jen is the HARDEST part in planning this vacation!
we will be there for 7nights 8days. :worship:
Once we figure this all out and we are CONCRETE on where we want to go that will determine which park we will go to on those days. There are 4 parks
MK-Magic Kingdom
HS- Hollywood Studios
Epcot- my kids call it EpERcot
AK- Animal Kingdom

What will happen is this:

1. We figure out which Table services we defiantly want.
2. We call to make the reservations 180 out from our trip. which ever days are open to what places we want to go to- make that reservation on the spot. i like to call and talk to the CM (cast members) this way we can let them know about the birthdays too... Logan, Zack, Matt, and Meg.
3. Then we know which park days we will be going to corresponding to that reservation. :cool1:

Once we figure out exactly which place we want to absolutely go to
then we can figure out which dining plan will work for us.

This is why i need everyone and their infinite wisdom on these restaurants.

Tell me if i am right on this SO FAR:
these are our Absolutes. TS (table services)

Magic Kingdom (MK):
1. CRT (Cinderella's royal table) Character meal with the princesses.
2. BOG (be our Guest) meet beast after

Hollywood Studios (HS)
Sci-fi

Epcot:
I am giving you reigns on this...

Animal Kingdom:
???

Suggestions:

MK:
Crystal Palace- Breakfast character meal with Winnie the Poo etc.

Epcot:
Akershus- Princess Character meal BREAKFAST only.. I did NOT like the lunch food.
Teppan Edo- Japanese food
Coral Reef-
Biergarten
Rose and crown dinner - mostly for seeing Illuminations (epcot's fireworks)
Via Napoli

HS
Mama Melrose
Brown Derby
Either one of these will give you VIP to Fantasmic Show. correct me if i am wrong here!!
AK:
Tusker House
Sanaa?
Boma- this isn't where you can see the animals right??? we will be doing the Safari ride which you drive around and the animals are free roaming.

Resorts:

MK
Poly- Luau 2 TS credits
Poly Ohana Breakfast-character meal with Lilo and stitch or dinner (Tom's favorite) i will have to talk to Tom about this... It may become a MUST do. but i am hoping it isn't.

Contemporary- Chef Mickey's- Character meal with the fab 5 Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Pluto, Goofy

Grand floridian 1900 Park Fair. character breakfast with alice
Dinner with Cinderella and step sisters.

Wilderness:
Hoop Dee Doo Music review- this is a show dinner 2 TS credits
Mickey's backyard BBQ another Show dinner 2 TS credits

Beach club- Why? because of this: Kitchen Sink - Eight Scoops of Ice Cream served with all the Toppings in the house and a whole can of Whipped Cream

am i missing something?!?!:confused3

There is also Cape May for breakfast which is Minne, Goofy and Donald in their swimsuit attire.

Rose & Crown you are NOT guaranteed an outside seat for Illuminations.

We did not care for Brown Derby at all (it might be a bit "too much" for the kids).

There is a pirate cruise of some sort where you meet Smee, etc. You can go to Disney site and you can find it there.

totally forgot about this one too..

Rose & Crown you are NOT guaranteed an outside seat for Illuminations.

good to know! think i would have a better chance when i tell them it's my kiddo's and Logan's birthday?! plus my big 4-0 celebration?

We did not care for Brown Derby at all (it might be a bit "too much" for the kids).

i was thinking the same thing. Do they still give out VIP seating for fantasmic???

There is a pirate cruise of some sort where you meet Smee, etc. You can go to Disney site and you can find it there.

I was torn between this. and the Dessert party.

:confused3

totally forgot about this one too..

We do prefer Crystal Palace though

good to know! think i would have a better chance when i tell them it's my kiddo's and Logan's birthday?! plus my big 4-0 celebration?

I've been told that you can ask for it. But they will tell you that there is no guarantee and they will NOT let you wait until one becomes available

i was thinking the same thing. Do they still give out VIP seating for fantasmic???

You can get the Fantasmic Package at Mama Melrose, Brown Derby and Hollywood & Vine. I would pick Brown Derby over Hollywood & Vine (actually, I'd pick any restaurant over Hollywood & Vine).
I was torn between this. and the Dessert party.

:confused3

I want to do the Dessert party one of these times, but this next trip we are staying AKL CL so we can do the Sunrise Safari.

I want to do the Dessert party one of these times, but this next trip we are staying AKL CL so we can do the Sunrise Safari.

for your Anniversary trip didn't you go to one of the restaurants and like it again??

Na.. I am not one of those who thinks Disney owe me something i can ask if it happens it does if not.. well it wont' ruin my trip that's for sure! :thumbsup2 ... Sometimes they do sprinkle lots of pixi dust on kids...
secret?? I have never seen illuminations.. we are always walking out of the park by the time it starts.. :confused3 along with my photography i want a great spot. preferably somewhere people will NOT bump my tripod. :crowded:

AWWWWW sunrise safari!!! I cannot wait to hear about that!!!

I like all of them on your list. :rotfl:

One thing to keep in mind when making the reservations. You can start making on-line reservations at 6 am but calling doesn't start till 7 am. You may want to make the harder ones like Be Our Guest on-line and then call later to add on the requests. When I did our February reservations, I did BOG right at 6 am and the latest time I could get was 5:30 pm. I was hoping for sometime between 6 and 7 pm but they were already booked up. If you wait till 7 am to call, who know what times will be left if any? :confused3

Oh and did you see that Beaches and Cream is going to start taking reservations later this month? You'll need to add that one to your list of ADRs to make if you want to eat there.

And I totally understand why you don't want to go to 50s Prime Time. That's kind of why I don't go to Rain Forest Cafe or Teppan Edo. They are just too similar to restaurants I can go to any day of the week.

So far so good. I'll check in the other restaurants on line to see what they offer with Chris. Hopefully this weekend or on Monday. And get back to you. They should have marvel for the boys. I agree. Grace would even love to see that.

I am so impossibly behind that I cannot even begin to catch up:worried:

But I LOVE that you are talking about ADRs!!! Mom and I have been going back and forth with ours for the last week or so. We are hoping for free dining so we can upgrade to deluxe....just too many places we want to try...so it's great to see everyone's suggestions here!!!!

I'm glad that your Thanksgiving went so well! We had a great one too although too busy ( i hosted Thanksgiving for 15 and then had the girls' WAY OVER THE TOP tea party two days later...) Now, two weeks later I finally have my christmas decor up and am almost finished wrapping presents. I plan on baking this weekend and maybe catching up a little around here ;)

I can partially answer your Boma/Sanaa question. Sanaa does NOT serve breakfast....we had dinner there. They have an entire wall of glass for savanna viewing. I can tell you that only 4 tops are RIGHT ON the glass wall. We are a party of five, so we had seating further in, but still had a good view of the savanna. The do a little "drumming parade" through the restaurant that the kids enjoyed. The food was FANTASTIC. I am not sure about the views from Boma, it is still on my "must try" list.
