Wasting away again in Loserville-(all welcome to grab an adult beverage and come in)

Well this thread has been quiet. Home from the day from Hell....mom is now in my family room going to sleep and I'm trying to wind down so I can get some sleep.

Long day for me as well. We drove 6 hours rt to see my grandparents. We had a nice visit.
We stopped by the casino on the way home and promptly lost. I suck at playing slots and don't feel comfortable playing table games.

Anyone have a preteen that won't eat real food? I offer to cook ner anything she wants, she is old enough to add her own stuff to the grocery list but lives on snack food. I don't really cook meat but my mom does so she could get grandma to make that for her. She is in sports so that can't be good. We have tons of different kinds of food in the house and stuff she likes she just grazes. She doesn't appear to be losing any weight though so maybe I should just leave it be? Her younger sister eats like a horse, I am constantly cooking for her something. Same with my son.

Nevermind on the eating issue. I figured it out We have stopped getting fast food nearly every night of the week I think she is having withdrawls. Fast food just doesn't taste as good to me as it used to.

Monique,

My daughter is only 6 but she has always been a grazer - nothing to do with types of food she eats, it's just that she prefers to munch through the day vs, eating a sit down meal. We eat dinner together every night and without fail she eats maybe 1/2 her plate and claims she's full but an hour or so later she's giving the "mom whine" that she's staaaaaaarving. She won't eat alot but would have an apple, handful of pretzels, whatever. As long as she's not gaining weight (as in fat) and not losing weight (from not eating) I would not worry about it but make sure you have healthy options for her to graze on - cut up fruits/veggies, better carb snacks - pretzels, pita chips, vs potato chips/doritos, etc.

I'm a snacker!!

My favorite lunch in highschool was a can of coke and some 3D doritos....yummmmm

wait....infact yesterday all I had for lunch was chips---maybe things don't change that much?!:lmao:

Nat... is that a new tag? The one about vending machines? :rotfl:

I was a Snickers & Coke girl in high school. Ah, those were the days.

What are u guys doing on Page 4??? I know we're losers, but come on!!!!;) Am I the only loser at home on a Friday night????:surfweb:

I'm here.

The boy is worse. His fever spiked over 105 last night...he was speaking in tounges. Came back down this morning but then spiked back up this afternoon. Went to the doc, nothing is wrong with him except the fever (again). Problem is that it's going on too long this time. If he's not better tomorrow, I have to take him back in. Then in the car on the way home he puked up all the medication they gave him...just an EE puke, but bad timing. Anyway, did I mention that my mother is here too? :headache:

Lara, I really hope he gets better soon. Fevers that high must be really scary for both of you.

Oh Lara.

Many hugs to you. You have so much going on right now. I'm glad he's okay for know and I'm seding good thoughts for him to continue to get better.

I'm here but just barely. Not much going on with me though.

Lara I hope y0ur son gets better. That sounds awful.

My mom had a chat with the VP at my girls school. The teacher wanted kids to donate money to the class for other kids that coudn't afford to pay for the field trip. You were supposed to get 50 points per dollar. My daughter got 20 bucks from my mom and donated it. Well in front of the whole class the teacher said to my daughter very snottily that just because HER parents could afford more doesn't mean anything and she was only getting 500 points. First off the money came from my mom and second off you don't need to embarrass my kid in front of the whole class with a snide comment. So my mom told the VP this story and she checked with the teacher and the teacher said the kids said it and that it just happened yesterday and she didn't have enough class dollars and that it happened to another boy too. I don't believe for one second the kids in the class said she only got 500 points, they had nothing to do with that. Well she could of written her an IOU but the kicker is she is saying this happened yesterday and we heard about it last Friday. We just steamed for a week, finally told my husband and he said damn straight you talk to the principal or VP.

So the VP when she heard that we learned about this last friday and the teacher claims it just happened yesterday said a big OH. I don't expect anything to come of this but at least the teacher will now know we are on to her. I don't want my daughter to get class points or a phone call from the teacher I just want the teacher mind her mouth. I have a high schooler and a youger child and have never had an issue with a teacher before. We have ALWAYS backed up the teacher and tried to take her side this year as well but this just went to far..

Well, I went out.....if you call dropping my 10 year old son and his buddy off at a birthday party, then taking my 8 year old dd and 2 friends to Pizza Street..........going out?! ;)
The two girls are sleeping over, and I went out again to get Krispy Kreme donuts for breakfast. Sounds like a great Loser Mom breakfast, right?

MMmmmm...Krispy Kreme  Can I come over for breakfast????:lmao:

Kellie!

I was asking about you last night while chatting, how are you feeling?
I am doing okay. I get tired easy from the treatments and working but for the most part I feel great.

I just finished dinner. I made pork chops & tomato gravy with mashed potatoes and green beans.

::: insert crickets chirping sound effect here :::

I can just hear the "what the hell is pork chops and tomato gravy". Let's just say it is a southern thing and leave it at that.

Breakfast tomorrow will be biscuits with tomato gravy, if you really want to ponder our strange eating habits...
Okay at 7:30 am that sounds great for me to eat. I want it all

I can't believe I haven't found this place before. I have found my people:yay:
