I'm just testing out the new features and i'm trying out the Ticket system. I see that on the bottom, there is a selection that asks who you want to let in your room. Here are the choices... Friends, Everyone, Those with Tickets, .... and "Myself". You can't unclick the Myself option, i just think it's hilarious that they would put that in there. "Oh, i'm mad at myself for making a bad trade, so i won't let myself into my own room!". So riddiculously funny :lmao:

There should be a box with the words "In case of evil clones, uncheck box" next to it.

That's the only reasonable explanation for this.

The best part is that there's no way to re-check the box if by some miracle they allow you to uncheck it.

:rotfl: Can you imagine trying to use Contact Us and explain that you accidentally locked yourself out of your room and need to be let back in? :lmao:

Dear Contact Us:
Please send me the codefor my room...lol

Uh, yeah, Onstar? I got locked out of my room...

Yremex tries to get into Emery's room, but it is locked.

Yremex: Drat, he's caught on!

(Yremex is my Nobody)

Finally, crowd control for all those demons with my DNA.

Bad 5th grade science experiment, I've been stuck fighting mutated sins against god since then. They all made VMK accounts I guess.

Rock and roll while I post messages does not effect me at all.

I think that is so you can have that box checked and all the others unchecked, meaning you can be alone in your room if you're building or whatever. It might prove to be one of the most useful changes of the day. Ranks right up there with the no trades option in my book! :thumbsup2

Yavn told us that to have no one else in the room, we should just make it Ticket's only then not make ticket, but i'm sure your way works too :thumbsup2

lol vmk would need pop a lock if we get locked out of our own rooms- because I'm sure if it could be done someone here... (not naming any names) would do it... lol

Yes this is my favorite feature but it is silly that they had the check box there got to love VMK logic

Hmm...we should have virtual door mats to hide our virtual spare keys under!

Yes Jewel you are right. Cap, yes he did tell us the other way, but that made no sense, cause if you happened to have already wanted/needed to distribute tickets to others, they could still get in.

So this is the way, and much easier to understand too, to have your room truly unaccessible to others.

I actually used it today while someone was bugging me a bit too much while I needed to get work done. They kept sending messages pleading to be let in. So I got all the proof I needed :rotfl2: that it really is for that, and it works wonderfully! :rotfl: :thumbsup2

And here's the real code:

Open Saysme!!

:lmao:

I noticed this yesterday, but found I couldn't lock myself out! This is definitely the most useless thing VMK has ever done!

Here here!!
I love this new option. Those of us that make a big huge mess all over our rooms when building, will find this invaluable. To be able to build without people walking in. Where as I think the ticketing thing may hurt feelings, this way you did not have to decide who on your list was in or out. All or nothing!
And how great would this have been when we were all spending lots of time entering Pirates codes in hopes of a suit and did not want to talk because the next code was FOR SURE a Sparrow costume!
Yesterday I went about making all my storage rooms "Myself Only" rooms. WOOT!

Yup! I've been waiting to be able to do this for a very long time. :)

I can actually sit in my own room to enter codes now! No more making another character set her room to "friends only" and linking it to mine so I can work there undisturbed. ;)

OH yeah! I didn't even think of that, lol. I have all mine set to friends only currently, but I'll be changing them now! Thanks for the reminder. :thumbsup2

Yep. I just recently moved most of my extra stuff to another character. Now I have to go in and change all her rooms to myself only.
I was very happy to see this change made.

But, I agree with OP. It is a silly option to have. ;)

Just a guess here, but it's probably a programming thing where SOMETHING has to be selected so the system knows what to do.

Also, I believe that it is easier for younger kids to understand that they need to check "myself" only vs. check nothing.

Ah! How did you know that's where our spare key is?!?!? hahaha!

well because of this feature my Dh might just play VMK more. He did like to change his rooms around. But hated when people would keep popping into his room. Now with the no trade option, ignore, and only myself in my rooms, which even includes moi rofl he can go about his solely anti-social stuff.

Really he just found it hard to chat and felt like an idiot when he could not type anything. So here s hoping he will start again :)
