Kate: Oh, I forgot about Aero Bubbles! They don't sell them in Canada, but they were a road trip staple when we lived in England and decided to randomly drive to Scotland or Wales some weekends. Speaking of road trips in the UK... I grew up in the middle of the barren Canadian prairies, so I'm used to driving 300 miles to visit an Ikea (not that we didn't have one, just that the one 300 miles away was
better!

), but why did road trips in England feel like we needed to pile up the car with blankets and food and water and a portable generator, because we were leaving the ends of the earth? And god forbid you take a wrong turn on the way home and end up in the Lake District after dark....
Oh, and I have Wii Fit Plus, too! I think it is a 100% improvement over the original. It's like they took all of my complaints about the original, and fixed all of them in the Plus. You can choose from several pre-set workouts, or program your own from the yoga and strength exercises, and it actually takes 30 minutes to do 30 minutes of exercise, instead of an hour or two with the old version. All of the old activities are there, but they've added about 15 new "games" and they are all fantastic. I love the Rhythm Marching - I always end up collapsing into giggles by the end! The multiplayer option is also great, in case you feel the need to take on someone at flapping your arms like a chicken!
Carrie: Congratulations on your half! Glad you had good weather for it!
Marcia: My, that is some awesome bling! Also, congrats on the hilly half!
Tracy: Please tell me you're dressing up for your Halloween race!

We also have a Halloween race, and we're trying to figure out how to dress up the dog as the wolf from Little Red Riding Hood.... complete with the old granny nightgown and bonnet!
As for me, I've been bad at updating my miles and times, and even worse at posting! But I am getting the miles in, and sooner or later I will have to pull them off of my Garmin to post. I did shorter runs on the weekend (6 miles and 9 miles) and my legs feel much better. I got in 4 miles this morning in perfect weather, as well.
Oh, and I had the "pleasure" of having our local NBC news people come to film me coaching my Girls on the Run group today.... let's just say that leading a discussion with a bunch of elementary school girls on their values while being miked (not wearing the microphone, but having someone actively putting it on me as I talked!) was a new and distracting experience. But the girls loved it, and they all put in 35 minutes of great running for the cameras.... maybe I need them there every practice...
Keep moving, Warriors!
