I am very irritated with Pizza Hut! Their price has gone up 3 times in the last 2 months. It was $14.68 (for a long time) for a large thin and crispy pizza with half pepperoni lovers on one side and supreme on the other. Now it is $17.05!!! Really!! I will not be ordering from them anymore. I know it sounds silly, but I am not happy!! :sad2: The girl told me it would extra to do it that way. We have always ordered that way with no extra cost. Someone on the Disboard asked at what point would the price of Disney keep you from going? Not sure! But, I know the price of this pizza will keep me from ordering anymore from Pizza Hut!!

Here in CA , Pizza Hut for any pizza is 7.99. I guess they are not all the same. Is it a franchise?

Pizza Hut was always my fav, but they got too expensive once I really started looking at my budget closely. They have coupons and specials but still end up costing too much. I have been getting papa johns. They have had a 50% off Mondays and Wednesdays all summer long.

Pizza Hut is value priced if you do their lunch buffet and order water. I come hungry.

Maybe she was just confused? I would give them another chance if you really like them.

Ugh. Life is too short to eat Papa John's pizza :crazy2:.

I haven't used our local Pizza Hut since they "forgot" our order on DD's birthday 2 years ago. However, they still charged us (a LOT of money for a LOT of pizza), just never delivered.

So I had a house full of hungry girls and no pizza.

When it came over 3 hours late, there were 0 apologies from the store. No apology from the store manager either. I had to take it to the district level but never got reimbursement. It was NOT ok!!

That night I would have totally just cancelled and gone elsewhere, but by the time we sorted out that cluster other stores had closed. And there would have been no way for me to get my money back. Even better, they had the order over 12 hours because it was placed that AM online. Angry, angry, angry!!

Switch to Papa Johns. We have another local chain that we are using more and more - honestly, if they had a cheesy bread, we would never use Papa Johns again because they are that yummy.

I know this is not what your looking for but I thought I would share anyways in case.
we stopped buying order out pizza when I discovered how easy and better it was to make at home. I purchased 'the new artisian bread in five minutes a day' book and now always have dough in my fridge for loaves of bread, baggetts, and the ever popular (in my house) pizza. you would be amazed how quick it is. there are you tube videos if you wanted to check it out.
the dough is ready and you just have to roll it out, add toppings, throw in the oven for 15 minutes.....bobs your uncle! and its the way we like it, no worrying about if they will put mushrooms on even though we asked not to have mushrooms on.
good luck with your pizza, hope it all works out.

I have gotten that way with McDonalds. Yeah I know it isn't that great, but sometimes those fries are sooo good! Man are they expensive! It is better to go to the local place. It is $2 more for a larger better burger and fries. The drink I will have at home.

We gave up on Pizza Hut a few years back. They messed up our order so many times, but the last straw was when our pizza did not have any sauce on it!

Gotta cut cost somewhere. They probably didn't think you'd notice.

Never never never order from Pizza Hut at full price. They ALWAYS have coupons out. We get them in the mail at least once a month, plus if you order online you get emails with special deals. I love ordering online - don't have to wait on hold or repeat my order 5 times. Our delivery/pick-up spot is only 5 minutes from our house, so I order online and go pick it up and back home in less than 30 minutes total.

We are done with Pizza Hut too. The last time we ordered we had a coupon for a large with two toppings for $11. Great. We ordered four pizzas. (Big family) I have a daughter who only wanted pepperoni. So we asked for one of them to have double pepperoni. Apparently the toppings must be different. You can not double any topping???? What? I could do sausage and pepperoni but not double pepperoni. It is not like they would have really doubled it anyway. I thought it was so dumb. They did give my husband some pepperoni in a small cup?! Never again.

We NEVER order pizza, but once I was home alone with my DS and several of his friends (it was sort of an impromptu get-together). I had nothing in the house to make, so I ordered a pizza online at Pizza Hut since I had a $20 gift card. I entered all my info and everything went through. After waiting almost 2 hours, I get a phone call. There was no, "Hello, this is Pizza Hut calling," etc. The first thing the guy on the line said was "Yeah, you out our delivery area." I could hardly understand him in the first place, but it finally clicked. I said... it took you guys almost 2 hours to call and let me know you couldn't deliver to me??? and you couldn't even be professional or polite about it over the phone! Oh, I was ROYALLY ticked! I asked that my gift card be refunded and this guy told me it was never charged. So of course, I log on the Pizza Hut web site gift card balance check and... yes it was charged. I called corporate who said there was nothing they could do except put a credit under my name for the next time I use Pizza Hut. I've been too mad at them to ever even try it! :rotfl:

Maybe this is regional but I don't think anyone in our area ever really orders Pizza Hut anymore.. There are far too many excellent local pizza shops to choose from that most people don't even consider the national chains, with a lot being shut down because of this. Sounds like way too much money for not good pizza. Definitely go local next time if you can. ..Typically way better food at a much more reasonable price.

Our local pizza shops are way better but I do not find that the prices are less. Little by little we are ordering it less. Only 2 to 3 times a year.

We have been making our own with either dough or Pizza shells from the bakery thrift shop. Quicker and easier.

We rarely order delivery pizza anymore. We have the chain Papa Murphy's here in TX - you buy the pizza uncooked, bring it home and bake it yourself. Not frozen, it's a decent savings over places like Pizza Hut, plus the pizza is always piping hot when we put it on the table, and you know your order won't get messed up or arrive late. :)

Never a good idea when you want sauce but one of my faves at Pizza Hut is think crust Hawaiian with NO sauce. They use extra pineapple juice from the pineapple chunks and the cheese with the ham. I think it is tasty without the red sauce flavor but some of my family does not like it cuz it can be a little dry.

When they told us the Cheese Lovers did not have extra cheese, we gave up on Pizza Hut. It seems like the quality has also gone down over the years.
