Warning!!! Proud Mom Moment!

DS had his final skating class for the season today and he got tested. He earned his first badge! The first badge requires some pretty basic stuff, but DS hasnt exactly been the star of the class. I have pretty much given up hope of him being the hockey star I dreamed of when I found out I was having a son, and we decided to name him after Cam Neeley. But thats ok, even so, I would at least like him to learn to skate for the future when it comes up in gym class, or skating parties, etc... So, DS was probably one of the worst in the class, and I always felt so bad for him. He wouldnt be too thrilled when I reminded him it was skating day, but he went every week and tried. When it came test time, I actually questioned whether or not he would earn the first badge, and I really hoped he would to help boost his confidence. Well, he got it and he is proud as can be about it! Im so excited!

That's great !! He should be very proud of himself. Hockey is a great sport for a kid to get involed in. It takes a lot of commitment and dedication but if they truly love it, it's worth every minute. Can you tell I'm a hockey Mom too???? LOL
