WARNING Irene now Cat 3

The track I saw this morning puts it way off the FL coast and heading to the Carolina's.

My in laws are supposed to fly home on Saturday afternoon to PHL. I'm wondering how this will affect them, if at all. I actually miss them and would hate to see them stuck at Disney! Although there would be worse places for them to be stuck!

My best friend is suppose to go into BWI on Sunday. i'm wondering how it will affect them as well.

And all the models I have seen show it missing Fl as well!

Irene has just been upgraded to a Cat 3 and will increase to a Cat 4 when it reaches the Florida coast.

So arrange your travel plans accordingly.

From the link:

"Irene will likely then strengthen into a powerful Category 4 hurricane during its dangerous assault on the Bahamas into Thursday."

"Florida and Georgia will be spared in the process."

We have enough TV coverage trying to freak people out-lets try and be a little more accurate on the Dis.:thumbsup2

I am just saying those who are flying to or from airport along the eastern coast line may have to rearrange their flights or driving plans.

Actually the first post says " Irene has just been upgraded to a Cat 3 and will increase to a Cat 4 when it reaches the Florida coast."

The tracks and info do not show Irene hitting the Florida coast. It is headed to the Bahamas and up the northeast.
